Position Overview

We are a leading retail display manufacturing company seeking a skilled Model Maker to join our production team. This role is ideal for a handson craftsperson who excels at building prototypes, mockups, and production-ready models using a wide range of materials and fabrication techniques.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  
• Construct highquality prototypes and models for retail displays and fixtures
  
• Interpret drawings, CAD files, and design concepts to create accurate builds
  
• Work with materials including wood, plastics, metals, foams, and composites
  
• Operate shop equipment such as CNC routers, laser cutters, saws, sanders, and 3D printers
  
• Collaborate with design and engineering teams to refine concepts and solve fabrication challenges
  
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop environment
  
• Contribute ideas to improve build methods, materials, and overall product quality
  

Qualifications

• 
  
• Proven experience as a model maker, fabricator, or similar handson role
  
• Strong craftsmanship and attention to detail
  
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  
• Proficiency with a variety of shop tools and fabrication techniques
  
• Strong problemsolving skills and a collaborative mindset
  
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  

Preferred Skills (Not Required)

• 
  
• CNC programming or operation
  
• 3D modeling software (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Rhino, etc.)
  
• Painting, finishing, or specialty fabrication experience
  
• Background in retail display, exhibit, or architectural model industries
