As a Flight Controls Engineer at Reliable Robotics, you will be part of the Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) Team. You will design, implement, integrate, and test flight control laws for all phases of operation including autotaxi, auto-takeoff, autoland, and automatic rollout. You integrate real-world hardware and C/C++ flight software as part of ongoing flight test programs, and perform simulation analysis and data reduction in our Python and C/C++ modeling & simulation environment.
Responsibilities
Establish autoflight and flight control system requirements
Interface with Pilots and Operations team to develop flight test plans, respond to squawks, and communicate design updates
Design and analyze flight control laws from conceptual design through implementation and certification
Develop simulation models to evaluate flight control system performance and stability
Implement control laws and algorithms in flight software
Test flight software in simulation, Monte Carlo, hardware-in-loop, and flight
Basic Success Criteria
BS in aerospace engineering, robotics, or equivalent field
3+ years of hands on, professional experience developing and testing flight controls algorithms
Experience with flight dynamics simulation and model identification
Professional experience with developing C/C++ flight software and Python data reduction & analysis
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Criteria
MS in aerospace engineering, robotics, or similar advanced degree
Current pilot, instrument or commercial ratings
Experience with flight controls, autopilot, or flight management system certification

The mechanical team is a small group of highly motivated people designing, testing, and flying advanced mechanical systems. We enjoy cradle-to-grave hardware ownership and hands-on build, test, and integration of our designs. As a Sr. Mechanical Engineer at Reliable Robotics, you will be an influential part of the Mechanical Engineering team helping to drive engineering methods and product quality. The hardware focus is on high reliability safety critical mechanisms and structures, with significant cross-functional development with the Systems, Avionics, GNC, Software, Manufacturing, and Flight Test teams. Responsibilities
You will design, analyze, build, test, and fly a system of actuators, mechanisms, and structural modifications to enable remote piloted aircraft. Own your hardware from initial conception through flight test and certification...this is cradle-to-grave engineering with hands-on build, test, and integration. Lead cross-functional trades and drive performance and design decisions to closure. You will bring a sense of humility, and be ready to both learn and teach.
Basic Success Criteria
BS in mechanical or aerospace engineering, or equivalent experience
5+ years professional experience developing mechanical systems
Mastery of at least one of the following areas: Design, Analysis, Manufacturing, Test, or Certification
Demonstrated successful project ownership

As a Sr. Electrical Systems Engineer, you will be a part of our Vehicle Design and Integration team. You'll collaborate with a broad set of teams to develop a system architecture and incorporate requirements across the hardware/software stack.
Responsibilities
In your role as a Sr. Electrical Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for defining avionics system architecture and completing trades regarding performance, complexity, risk, and effort. You will drive the vehicle-level design, testing, and integration of avionics hardware, including computing, sensing, actuation, communication, power, and display systems. You will work across engineering teams and will implement an electrical system design that meets system-level and certification requirements. You will be the owner of multiple components (IMUs, air data computers, batteries) and will be responsible for how they are installed in the aircraft, verified, and certified at the aircraft level.
Basic Success Criteria
Electrical Engineering fundamentals, typically gained through a Bachelor's Degree of Science or Engineering in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or related discipline
5+ years of professional hands-on experience with electrical system-level development, integration, and testing
Ability to work within a team, including strong written and verbal communication skills

THE PURPOSE: The Director of Sales, Off-Price is responsible for independently driving sales and gross margin for select Off-Price accounts. You will manage shipping forecasts, inventory levels, and all product needs in collaboration with key internal cross-functional partners. Building concrete business plans and strategies in partnership with the VP of Off-price to generate incremental volume and maximize all opportunities.
