About the College of Computing at the Georgia Institute of Technology
The College of Computing has been a leader in defining modern computing as a paradigm that combines the foundations of theoretical mathematics and information science, the force of invention in computational systems and processes, and interdisciplinary practice that integrates innovation in computing with all facets of life. Job Summary
The School of Computational Science and Engineering (CSE) at GA Tech is seeking to hire a Research Engineer (Open Rank) to serve as a Product Manager. CSE is enhancing our impact on the Georgia Tech ecosystem through new programs that help students become better Research Software Engineers. With this increased capacity, we will amplify the impact of research conducted by Georgia Tech's scientific community. We are expanding our team of 6 professional software engineers (with varying degrees of industry experience) to include a Product Manager who is excited about working in a highly dynamic and research-oriented environment.
This is a hybrid working position.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Georgia Tech faculty to identify areas of scientific research likely to benefit from dedicated Research Software Engineering.
- Establish goals and requirements to create new functionality that maximize Research Software Engineering contributions.
- Pair students with Research Software Engineering mentors in the Center for Scientific Software Engineering.
- Partner with student Research Software Engineers to create development plans that deliver agreed-upon functionality.
- Monitor the progress of student Research Software Engineers as they embark on established development plans.
- Refine CSSE team processes to achieve our collective goals more efficiently.

Job Summary
The School of Aerospace Engineering ( ) at the Georgia Institute of Technology invites applications for multiple tenure-track faculty positions. Applicants will be considered at all ranks and in any technical areas of relevance to aerospace systems, interpreted broadly. These areas include artificial intelligence and dynamical systems.
Typically reporting to the School Chair, the Professor is a tenured/tenure-track faculty member who performs a combination of teaching, research, and service. Professors may hold administrative appointments as long as the majority of their time is dedicated to teaching, research, and service. Professors hold a terminal degree and have normally spent three or more years at the rank of Associate Professor.
Responsibilities
- It is an exceptionally dynamic period in the aerospace community with many opportunities for research discoveries and new technology development to shape the future of the field in aviation, space exploration, and vertical lift.
- We seek exceptional applicants motivated to "Create the Next in Aerospace" by performing innovative research and creating inspiring learning environments at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Emphasis will be placed on the originality of the applicant's work, and its potential impact on the field.

About The Wallace H. Coulter Department of Biomedical Engineering
The Wallace H. Coulter Department of Biomedical Engineering is a department within the College of Engineering at Georgia Tech and the School of Medicine at Emory University. Our community includes a student body of ~1,200 undergraduates and ~400 graduate students as well as more than 150 faculty and staff. One of the largest BME programs in the US, we graduate the most URM and Female biomedical engineers in the country. The BME department currently employs about 90 total faculty, including 5 Academic Professional track faculty, 10 Lecturer track faculty, and 5 Professors of the Practice.
Since the departments founding in 2000 the unique partnership between two of the nation's leading public and private entities has been an engine for innovative research and education. We are focused on solving some of the toughest problems facing our state, the nation, and the world and improving human health. We constantly value and work to improve our educational programs and received the 2019 Bernard M. Gordon prize for pioneering efforts in engineering education and consistently top national rankings for both undergraduate and graduate programs. The Wallace H. Coulter Department of Biomedical Engineering is hiring for an Academic Faculty (Academic Professional Track) position titled Director of Learning Innovation (DLI). A position of this type, with slightly varying titles, throughout the history of the department by 5 different people. Success in this position involves achieving three objectives: (1) Foster a culture of evidence-based teaching practices and curricular innovation, (2) improve our understanding of engineering education using educational research methods, and (3) build the national profile of the department as a leader in biomedical engineering education. We expect the focus of work in this role to be primarily the department's top ranked undergraduate program, but engaging with the graduate program may also be possible or needed. We estimate the breakdown of the Director of Learning Innovation to be approximately 15% research; 35% administration; 30% teaching and 20% service, detailed below.
Responsibilities
TEACHING (30%)
We expect the DLI's teaching responsibility to be serving as the course director for Problems in Biomedical Engineering (BMED2250). BMED2250, typically taken undergraduate's second year, uses a Problem Based Learning (PBL) approach to guide students through the development of potential solutions to a broad single-disease-focused design challenge. A similar course has been a cornerstone of the department's undergraduate curriculum since its establishment and are described in work by Newstetter (2006). The course is offered during Fall and Spring semesters and enrolls around 150 students per semester in 5 to 6 `studio sections with a weekly lecture. Critically, the course also serves to enculturate faculty to the department's philosophy of teaching. The course director is responsible for overall coordination of course instruction, managing the lecture portion of the class, training TAs and Faculty facilitators, and typically facilitating 1 studio section. Depending on the candidates background and interests, other teaching assignments may be possible.
ADMINISTATION (35%)
Achieving the three objectives for the DLI position will require the candidate to integrate curricular leadership and educational research. As a departmental leader, the DLI is responsible for identifying and guiding opportunities for curricular improvements, especially through the translation of leading educational research. They will also mentor individual faculty throughout the department about teaching, evidence-based teaching, and Scholarship of Teaching and Learning research. To do so, the DLI will work closely with other leaders in the department, TT and NTT faculty, and the Director of Faculty and Student Training.
RESEARCH (15%)
The DLI will also be expected to engage in research and research dissemination. A major focus of that work is likely to be scholarship related to their innovation work. However, they are encouraged to pursue related research independent of active innovation projects as well. Successful candidates will be those that look for both traditional and novel opportunities for scholarly dissemination. We have a special interest in candidates who can build strong relationships to share research results and promote our innovation work across Georgia Tech, biomedical engineering, and engineering education. The DLI will be encouraged to pursue external funding both to support programmatic change efforts and their own research. The department has a history of receiving funding from NIH, NSF, and KEEN to support programmatic curricular change efforts.
SERVICE (20%)
All department faculty are assigned to one to two departmental committees. It is expected that the DLI will be routinely assigned as a member of the Undergraduate Curriculum Committee and/or the departments Faculty Learning Committee (a yearly community of practice faculty development opportunity). The DLI will also be encouraged to pursue opportunities for professional service.

- Associate Academic Professional. This is the entry-level rank and normally requires completion of the terminal degree. In exceptional cases, this rank may be used for individuals completing a terminal degree and for a period of two (2) years. If the degree is not conferred, another position appointment is required.
- Academic Professional. This rank requires a terminal degree. It also requires significant related experience or promotion from the rank of Associate Academic Professional. Ordinarily at least three (3) years as an Associate Academic Professional is required before promotion to the rank of Academic Professional. The quality of performance and potential for development must be recognized by peers. Credit for previous academic or professional experience should be explicitly stated at the time of employment.
- Senior Academic Professional. This rank requires a terminal degree. It also requires evidence of superior performance in the chosen field, recognition by peers (whether national, regional, or local), and successful and measurable related experience. Promotion to Senior Academic Professional from the rank of Academic Professional requires at least five (5) years at that level. Credit for previous academic or professional experience should be explicitly stated at the time of employment.
- Principal Academic Professional. This rank requires a terminal degree. It also requires evidence of superior performance in the chosen field, recognition by peers (whether national, regional, or local), and successful and measurable related experience, including but not limited to supervision of others' work, significant responsibility, and authority within program area, and demonstrated impact. Promotion to Principal Academic Professional from the rank of Senior Academic Professional requires at least six (6) years at that level. Credit for previous academic or professional experience should be explicitly stated at the time of employment.
Preferred Qualifications
We ask that candidates describe the relevance of their PhD training in their materials.
We will give preference to those who provide evidence they meet some of the following criteria:
- Experience with undergraduate teaching, especially in engineering courses.
- Experience coordinating large multi-section courses, transitioning courses from lecture to non-lecture based pedagogical approaches, and/or first-year specific education.
- Experience developing and/or implementing research-based instructional strategies.
- Experience working with departments, courses, and students to improve the success of all students in engineering and STEM.
- Experience designing, implementing, and assessing faculty development activities to increase the use of evidence based instructional strategies in a variety of courses.

The Kwong lab in the Wallace H. Coulter Department of Biomedical Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology invites applications for a non tenure-track research faculty position in Laboratory for Synthetic Immunity.
The Laboratory for Synthetic Immunity (LSI) is an interdisciplinary research group in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Georgia Tech & Emory School of Medicine. Founded in 2014 by Director Dr. Gabe Kwong, the mission of LSI is to pioneer the next wave of immunotherapies and diagnostics to intercept diseases at an early stage and develop treatments that drive deep responses to meaningfully improve patient outcomes.
We are currently seeking exceptional individuals to join our research group as a Research Scientist. The successful candidate will be a motivated and creative individual that will pioneer new categories of immune biosensors that leverage design principles from synthetic biology and cell engineering for early cancer detection. They will take a lead role in experimental design, execution of experiments, and interpretation of results to achieve the major objectives of the project.

- Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering, Bioengineering, Immunology, or related fields with deep expertise in cancer immunology and/or biosensors.
- Expertise in the design and testing of sense-and-respond biocircuits for cancer therapy or diagnostics.
- Proficiency in cell and molecular biology techniques including sterile technique, cell culture, chromatography, electrophoresis, and flow cytometry.
- Proficiency in animal studies including live animal imaging, animal handling and drug administration, necropsy and cell isolation.
- Skilled in molecular cloning, lentivirus production, T cell transduction, protein production and purification.
- Experience with T cell isolation, tumor inoculation; isolation, and dissociation of mouse tumor xenografts.
- Experience with qPCR, next-generation sequencing (NGS) library preparation, NGS data analysis is plus.
- Proficiency with statistical software like SPSS and/or GraphPad Prism.
- Excellent organizational, communication, time-management, and collaboration skills are required.

The College of Sciences (CoS) and the College of Engineering (CoE) at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia invite applications for multiple tenure-track faculty positions in the field of solar-terrestrial science and/or space weather. Applicants will be considered at all ranks, though there is a particular focus on the Assistant and Associate ranks. Areas of interest include but are not limited to the Earth's ionosphere and magnetosphere, space weather forecasting and resilience. Applicants with research interests in any or all of sensors and observations from ground or satellite instruments, data analysis and data science, modeling and theoretical research, are all welcome to apply. The position will be supported by the National Science Foundation under the Faculty Development in geoSpace Science program. This unique faculty search is being pursued by a joint effort of two Colleges, enabling candidates across a broad range of backgrounds to apply. The departmental home of the hired candidate will be determined based on best fit and may be anywhere within CoS or CoE. The Wallace H. Coulter Department of Biomedical Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology & Emory University invites applications from exceptional senior candidates working in the area of Neuroengineering, broadly defined. The successful candidate will be named the Georgia Research Alliance (GRA) Eminent Scholar in Neuroengineering, an endowed position specific to the Georgia Tech campus. GRA eminent scholars are expected to engage in or contribute to translational and/or economic development efforts in their field. Applicants should have earned a Ph.D. or equivalent degree. Appointment is expected at the rank of full professor with tenure.
The department seeks a visionary scholar-educator and proven leader in high impact and emerging areas of importance to human health and biomedicine. We are specifically interested in the areas of neuroengineering and neuroscience, particularly developing and using approaches in machine learning and AI, with neurotranslational potential. Founded in 1985 by combining the former School of Ceramic Engineering with the Metallurgy Program housed in the School of Chemical Engineering, MSE merged in 2010 with the School of Polymer, Textile and Fiber Engineering, established in 1897 as the Textile Engineering program, the third school at GT. About the School of Civil & Environmental Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology
The School of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Georgia Tech currently has over 625 undergraduate students, nearly 400 graduate students, and 55 tenure-track faculty members. Women comprise 50% of the undergraduate population, and more than 29% of the undergraduate student population identifies as a member of under-represented minority groups. Thirteen faculty members are women, and eight faculty members identify as a member of under-represented minority groups. Twenty-six faculty members hold endowed chairs or professorships with 30% of them being women faculty. Job Summary
The School of Civil and Environmental Engineering () at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, GA invites applications for multiple tenure-track faculty positions in all areas of Civil Engineering. Applicants will be considered at all ranks, with a preference for the Assistant Professor rank.
Responsibilities
CEE faculty are expected to lead independent research at the cutting edge of their field and build a strong, extramurally funded research program and national/international recognition. In addition, they are expected to teach both undergraduate and graduate level courses, mentor a diverse student body, and conduct service to the school, institute, and profession.
Required Qualifications
An earned doctorate is required by the start of the appointment.

About the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the Georgia Institute of Technology
The School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the Georgia Institute of Technology is one of the largest producers of electrical engineers and computer engineers in the United States. Almost 2,600 students are enrolled in the School's graduate and undergraduate programs, and in the last academic year, 801 degrees were awarded. All ECE undergraduate and graduate programs are in the top five of the most recent college rankings by U.S. News & World Report.
In addition to the main campus in Atlanta, Georgia, ECE also has permanent operations at Georgia Tech-Lorraine in France. The School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in the area of Heterogeneous Integration and Advanced Packaging (HI/AP). The School is interested in HI/AP topics including, but not limited to: bonding technologies for 3DHI, co-packaged photonics, 2.5D/3D HI technologies, advanced materials for HI/AP, system co-design and optimization, glass-core packaging technologies, and advanced assembly and interconnect technologies. Job Summary
The Signal Lab in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Georgia Tech is seeking a Research Scientist to lead and advance cutting-edge research in the field of telecom. The role will involve research in 6G and wireless systems but also include lab management, business development, project management, cross- institute collaborations and demonstrations just to name a few.
Responsibilities
Some responsibilities include:
. Research Leadership in 6G, Wireless Systems, and Emerging Technologies
- Lead and execute advanced research programs spanning 5G Advanced, 6G architectures, ISAC, semantic communications, agentic networking, RF sensing, and wireless intelligence.
- Design and evaluate novel algorithms, PHY/MAC prototypes, and end-to-end wireless stacks using SDRs, GPU-accelerated systems, and cloud-integrated infrastructure.
- Publish high-impact papers, technical reports, and standards-relevant contributions.
2. Lab Management and Testbed Operations
- Oversee daily operations of the Center for Wireless Intelligence research lab, including equipment procurement, spectrum tools, RF instrumentation, compute clusters, and software environments.
- Manage, maintain, and expand the outdoor wireless testbed (campus-scale or city-scale): radios, remote nodes, edge compute, backhaul, deployment logistics, calibration, and field testing.
- Ensure safety, compliance, documentation, inventory management, and continuous uptime of lab and testbed assets.
- Build automated pipelines for experiments, data collection, benchmarking, and reproducibility.
3. Affiliate Engagement, Business Development, and Partnerships
- Engage, onboard, and close new affiliate companies into the CWI affiliate program.
- Serve as technical liaison for affiliate members across telecom, semiconductor, cloud, defense, and AI domains.
- Define joint research thrusts, scoping documents, deliverables, and IP paths with partner organizations.
- Coordinate demos, campus visits, on-site reviews, and technical deep-dives for affiliates.
4. Project Management and PhD Mentorship
- Mentor PhD students, postdocs, and research engineers working on 6G, wireless intelligence, agentic systems, and related topics.
- Manage multi-PI, multi-institution, and affiliate-funded projects, ensuring timely execution, deliverables, reporting, and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Provide technical direction, experiment planning, scheduling, milestones, and results dissemination.
5. Proposal Development and Funding Acquisition
- Lead and contribute to major proposals for federal, state, and institute-level funding, including NSF, DARPA, IARPA, NIST, NIH, DoD, DOE, and industry research labs.
- Manage full proposal lifecycle: concept development, whitepapers, teaming, budget coordination, compliance, and final submission.
- Close new funding sources for the center through proactive outreach, consortium building, and strategic alignment with national priorities (6G, AI/ML for wireless, digital twins, robotics, cybersecurity, etc.).
6. Event and Program Management
- Plan and execute workshops, symposiums, demo days, affiliate reviews, student recruiting events, and cross-center technical showcases.
- Coordinate logistics, speaker engagement, program design, marketing materials, and event follow-ups.
- Support the institute in flagship campus events around wireless, AI, cybersecurity, and next-generation connectivity.
7. Cross-Institute Collaboration and Ecosystem Building
- Facilitate collaborations with GT centers, MITRE Labs, government agencies, industry partners, and academic institutions.
- Represent the center in institute-level initiatives, standards bodies, federal roadmaps, and 6G consortium efforts.
- Identify and develop synergy projects across AI, robotics, cybersecurity, energy systems, and digital twins where wireless is foundational.
8. Demonstrations, Prototypes, and Technology Transfer
- Build and showcase cutting-edge wireless demonstrations involving the outdoor testbed, SDRs, AI-native RAN components, ISAC sensors, and agentic network stacks.
- Support technology transition to sponsors, affiliates, and government partners through prototypes, datasets, documentation, and workshops.
Required Qualifications

- Lead and execute advanced research programs in large-scale AI, including foundation model architectures, multimodal representation learning, world models, agentic systems, and self-supervised learning at scale.
- Design and evaluate new training algorithms, model architectures, and scalable pipelines for language, vision, audio, robotics, simulation, and multi-agent environments.
- Develop GPU-, TPU-, and cluster-optimized training frameworks, distributed training systems, and inference-time optimization pipelines for next-generation AI models.
- Publish high-impact papers in top AI/ML venues, release open-source tools, and contribute to Georgia Tech's AI research leadership and national strategic priorities.
2. Lab Management and AI Compute Infrastructure Operations
- Oversee daily operations of the AI research lab, including GPU clusters, high-performance storage, distributed training stacks, and data governance frameworks.
- Manage, maintain, and expand high-performance compute infrastructure: multi-node GPU clusters, distributed data loaders, RL/simulation environments, and model evaluation frameworks.

Job Summary
The School of Psychology ( /) at the Georgia Institute of Technology ( ) in Atlanta, Georgia invites applications for multiple tenure-track faculty positions in the broad area of Applied Psychological Science. Applicants will be considered at all ranks. Candidates are expected to demonstrate an exceptional commitment to the teaching and mentoring of students.
We are interested in candidates whose research can complement and extend applied psychological science (i.e., I-O and Engineering Psychology). Therefore, we not only welcome applicants conducting traditional research (e.g., well-being, leadership, training, user interfaces and user experience, ergonomics, human-system integration) and emerging research (e.g., AI-based selection, human-AI-robot teaming) in these fields, but we also encourage applications from those working at the intersection of related fields (e.g., affective computing, labor economics, mobility and transportation, workspace design, assistive technology, public policy). Our goal is to attract innovative scholars who can contribute to and expand the distinct research landscape at Georgia Tech.

Successful candidates will conduct cutting-edge research leveraging technology to enhance the human condition, excel in graduate and undergraduate education, and have the potential or proven ability to secure external funding. Must have a documented commitment to teaching excellence and student mentorship.
Required Qualifications
The position requires a PhD in psychology (e.g., Industrial-Organizational, Engineering Psychology, Human Factors) or a related field (e.g., Organizational Science, Industrial or Systems Engineering, Behavioral/Learning Science, Educational Psychology, Public Health, Computer Science, Data Science, Sociology of Work, Labor Economics, Social and Decision Sciences, or another applied field).
Preferred Qualifications
- Have a strong record of academic accomplishments commensurate with current academic rank.
- Show a demonstrated ability or potential to secure external research funding.
- Possess the knowledge, skills, ability, and motivation to build interdisciplinary collaborations within and beyond the Institute.
- The ability to mentor and assist students interested in pursuing graduate education.
- The ability to design and teach curricula that are responsive to a distinct student body.
- The ability to adopt teaching strategies that support the learning and success of all students.
- The ability to engage students in experiential learning activities and pedagogy that support student success.
