LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
Recruitment and Retention:
· Recruit, interview and hire Process Engineers, Industrial Techs, WAVE Techs, and Machine Support Techs
· Communicate criteria to recruiters for Process Engineers, Industrial Techs, WAVE Techs, and Machine Support Techs candidates.
· Coach machine support department staff in the interviewing/hiring process.
· Monitor team member turnover; identify key factors that can be improved; make improvements.
Employee and Team Development:
· Identify individual and team strengths and development needs on an ongoing basis.
· Create and/or validate training curriculum in area of responsibility.
· Coach and mentor tooling department staff to deliver excellence to every internal and external customer.
· Create and manage succession plans for the machine shop function.
Performance Management:
· Establish clear measurable goals and objectives by which to determine individual and team results (i.e. operational metrics, results against project timelines, training documentation, attendance records, knowledge of operational roles and responsibilities, personal development goals).
· Solicit ongoing feedback from Workcell Manager (WCM), Business Unit Manager (BUM), peers and team member on the PE team member’s contribution to the workcell. Provide ongoing coaching and counseling to team member based on feedback.
· Express pride in staff and encourage them to feel good about their accomplishments.
· Perform team member evaluations professionally and on time.
· Drive individuals and the team to continuously improve in key operational metrics and the achievement of the organizational goals.
· Coordinate activities of large teams and keep them focused in times of crises.

TECHNICAL MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
· Oversees the maintenance management program including repair parts, preventative maintenance, feeder maintenance, and the support equipment maintenance program

· Supervises the planning and execution of line moves and builds
· Schedules equipment vendors for installation, repair and updates of equipment

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred; and three years experience in maintenance management; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Hands-on experience and knowledge of Surface Mount Technologies (SMT) and Thru-hole equipment/gear, process optimization, Statistical Process Control, Design for Manufacturability, Design for Test, Demand Flow Technology (line balancing), and Design of Experiment methodologies. Knowledge of engineering disciplines including chemistry, mechanical, electrical, and industrial as it pertains to surface mount and final assembly.
Responsible for the verification testing, diagnosing and repairing of electronic circuit board assemblies.
Third Shift: Monday - Friday 11:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m.

About the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering
The School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the Georgia Institute of Technology is one of the largest producers of electrical engineers and computer engineers in the United States. Almost 2,600 students are enrolled in the School's graduate and undergraduate programs, and in the last academic year, 801 degrees were awarded. This is accomplished primarily through calling leads generated through marketing activities, cold calling prospects, club tours, and contests. Sales reps are expected to meet challenging monthly quotas and must be productive within 30 days of starting. Great sales reps must be able to quickly identify potential member's needs and use solution-selling techniques to close the sale. They must be able to present the customer a solution to their specific needs using the products and services offered by the club. This is a competitive sales position, with the clear objective of always meeting quota and constant improvement. Cooperation in a team environment is also essential.
Responsibilities:
The following are the specific performance objectives for the position. In assessing competency and fit, all candidates will be benchmarked against these standards.
- Achieve Quota: Consistently meet or exceed a quota of 50 new club memberships per month within 60-days. While this goal will vary month to month, on average a good sales rep will generate 50+new memberships each month. Monthly quotas should be adjusted seasonally January, February and March might be 50-60 sales while other months may be 35-30. (Competencies: competitiveness, work-ethic, motivation)
- Call all Leads Within Two Days and Convert 30% into Appointments: Reps must call back each assigned lead within 48 hours, quickly engage the potential customer by understanding their reasons for wanting to join a club, and use a variety of persuasive and selling techniques to convert 30% of these calls into a scheduled tour of the facilities. (cold calling, verbal communications, adaptability, listening, selling, rapport building, persuasiveness)
- Effectively Plan Each Sales Day: Great reps will spend 45-minutes to an hour each day preparing and planning for their next day. They will identify who they will meet, calls they will make, goals and the expected outcomes of their efforts. Great reps will also quickly review their approach for each scheduled club tour and customize their approach based on the information they collected from the person on the phone. (organizing, planning, diligence, ability to summarize quickly, doesn't over-prep)
- Conduct Effective Club Tours: Within two weeks, know the core products offered by the club and be in a position to quickly (10-15 minutes) understand a typical potential member's needs. Present the club's product line as a solution to the customer's needs appealing to their emotions and preferred buying methodology. Within 30-days, great reps will consistently conduct five club tours each day and maintain an overall close ratio greater than 50%. (customer needs analysis, analytical skills, solution selling, insight, intelligence, develop connections, ability to learn and apply skills)
- Become Product Expert: Proactively learn all aspects of the club's programs and services during the first seven days. Develop examples of all key benefits by product offering. Personally participate in all aspects of the club's offerings and develop a series of techniques to present these products as solutions to specific customer needs. - Work with Team to Provide Excellent Customer Service: Develop strong awareness of total team approach to service customers in the club. The Greeter serves as the face of the Jackson Hewitt brand during periods of high client traffic/demand. This position interacts with and engages potential and existing clients by conversing and reviewing marketing materials to create interest in making tax preparation appointments. This seasonal role also supports other operational tasks such as appointment scheduling, answering the phone, and check distribution, when appropriate, to foster a positive and efficient client experience.
What you'll do here:
- Greets all potential clients with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Engages in conversation with potential clients to share information about Jackson Hewitt's services, products, and promotions
- Offers promotional items to potential clients by walking the store floor (for our vendor partners) or marketing to other local businesses near storefronts
- Assists with scheduling tax preparation appointments
- Monitors client flow at the location and keeps clients engaged during periods of wait time
- Monitors client activity and takes initiative to answer phones or assist with check distribution by following established procedures when Tax Preparers are with other clients
Skills you'll bring for success:
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Customer service or sales experience preferred
- High School Diploma/ GED, or equivalent related business experience
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license and insurance preferred
Compensation: $9.00 per hour
