Freight Agents (Flatbed / Open-Deck / OD) β If You Live in the βHard Freight,β Read This
There are plenty of flatbed brokerages.
But not many are built for true project freight β the loads that come with:
- permits and routing complexity
- jobsite coordination
- unusual dimensions / time windows
- securement expectations
- constant βproblem solvingβ that canβt be handled by a script
Thatβs where we operate.
Treadstone Logistics is a specialized open-deck and overdimensional operator based in Arkansas (rapidly becoming a major steel and fabrication hub). We run assets, an in-house diesel shop, and a brokerage built around the freight most brokers say they do β but donβt want on Friday afternoon.
Weβre adding 2β3 experienced agents who already move open-deck/OD freight and want a home that actually understands it.
What makes Treadstone different
- We understand OD / permit-driven freight and jobsite execution
- We have asset capability for the loads your network canβt cover
- We have in-house maintenance (less downtime = more reliability)
- Weβre operator-led: fast decisions, no corporate red tape
- We focus on relationships and execution, not volume for volumeβs sake
- We know that in the brokerage business, credit is king: Our Trucking and Broker sides are both backed by Loveβs Financial
Who this is for
- You already move flatbed / step-deck / RGN / OD freight
- You have a book of business you control
- Youβre tired of brokerages that donβt support βhard freightβ when it gets messy
- You want a place where specialized freight is the core, not a side category
What you get
- Strong split (based on experience + book)
- Freedom to run your book
- Back-office support (billing/collections)
- A team that can actually help you solve tough open-deck/OD problems
If this sounds like you, send us a message!!
Truckload Freight Agent | W2 + Commission | You Know the Business β We Have the Freight
Let's skip the corporate pitch.
You've been in truckload freight long enough to know the difference between a program that talks about support and one that actually has it. You've covered the loads nobody else wanted to touch, you've kept shippers calm when capacity disappeared, and you've built relationships that follow you β not the company name on your email signature.
That's exactly who we're looking for.
We're an established 3PL β existing customer contracts, active shipper accounts, real freight moving right now β and we're adding a freight agent who's ready to step into something that's already running, not build from the ground up.
The structure is simple and honestly uncommon in this space: W2 employment with full benefits, plus commission on what you produce. You get the stability of a real job and the upside of an agent. Both. At the same time.
You're who we're looking for if:
- You've been moving truckload freight for 3+ years β dry van, flatbed, reefer, power only
- You have shipper relationships you've earned, not inherited
- You can walk in, read a lane, and know what to do without a script
- You're good at this and you're ready for a home that reflects that
What's waiting for you:
- Established customer contracts β freight on the board from day one
- W2 + commission β floor and ceiling, not one or the other
- Back office that handles the back office β billing, compliance, carrier setup, claims
- Tools that don't fight you β TMS, DAT, Truckstop
- A team that's been in the trenches, not just managed from above
If you've put in the reps and you're ready for a platform built to match your level β let's have a real conversation.
