Experience:
β’ 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
β’ Must have at least 18 months of Medical Surgical Float Pool experience.
β’ Experience with Cerner is preferred from any number of months.

β’ Candidates must have a Alabama license or compact license (required for submission).
β’ This role may require floating to additional units and locations
β’ Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >60 miles from facility to be submitted.
β’ 6 months gap required between for Staff at Program: SimpliFi Program - Baptist Health UAB and no current placement allowed at Program: SimpliFi Program - Baptist Health UAB.

Required Skills/Experience:
β’ First-time traveler: Minimum of 18 months experience in MedSurg and/or ICU with EPIC or Cerner experience. If strictly ICU experience, Cerner is required.
β’ RNs are required to interpret and confirm q4 hours strip reading.

β’ Skills required: IV start, blood draws from central lines, trach care, PEG, NGT, Colostomy/Ostomy, Wound Care, Chest tube, Surgical Site Care, C-Collar, Abdominal Binders, Restraints.
5 North MedSurg/Oncology: chemo experience high preferred
β’ Patient ratios: 1:6 for RN and LPNs
β’ Skills required: Trach care, chest tubes, PEG tubes, wound care, drains, foleys, IV starts; Chemo administration, if certified.
β’ Tele monitoring on hallway monitors and by tele techs on ground floor

3 South Orthopedics

β’ Skills required: PCA pumps, wound care (negative pressure dressing), dressing changes, foley, drains (hemovacs/JP drains)

Neurosurgery APC Requirements (MUST HAVE NEUROSURGERY EXPERIENCE): Schedule: 40 hours per week, with 4
- 10h days for 3 weeks alternating with 5
- 8h days for 1 week.
Additional hours of weekend call once every fourth weekend until February 2024, then once every 5th weekend beginning in March 2024.
Week-night call once every fourth week until February 2024, then once every 5th week beginning in March 2024.
Weekend call is Friday through Sunday, and week-night call is Monday through Thursday.
Duties include: Surgical first assist Bedside procedures Rounding independently in all hospital units including NICU, PICU, Peds, ICU (surgical and medical), and general med/surg floor Hospital and ER/UC consults Clinic duties including outpatient consultations, post-operative/post-hospital patient care, fracture care, patient phone calls, medication refills, and FMLA documentation.
