Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Oakland, CA, for an Associate Attorney at Cole & Van Note. The Associate Attorney will be responsible for conducting legal research, providing legal advice, and representing clients in consumer and civil rights matters. Daily tasks include drafting legal documents, negotiating settlements, and supporting the litigation process. Collaboration with other team members and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations is an integral part of this role.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Law, with expertise in consumer and civil rights law
- Experience in offering Legal Advice and assisting with litigation
- Strong Research skills to support accurate and effective case development
- Proven Negotiation skills, with the ability to advocate effectively on behalf of clients
- Exceptional written, verbal communication, and time management skills
- License to practice law in California
- A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Experience in class action litigation is preferred
