Job Description

Schedule: Part Time, 4pm - 8pm, various days of the week and alternating weekends

As a Server in our community restaurant, YOU… help create an incredible dining experience; build relationships with residents; and consistently deliver the service a guest would expect in their favorite restaurant. Their satisfaction starts with YOU!

  • As a Server, you will direct residents to their tables, present menus, suggest dishes and assist in drink selection

Job Summary

Serving within the Research Faculty of the Institute, this position directly supports the extension, service, and economic development missions of Georgia Tech to the State of Georgia and beyond. Primarily this position provides entrepreneurial incubation and acceleration services to ATDC (Advanced Technology Development Center) member companies in strategic areas that foster development and encourage their growth. Position Overview:

Qualifications

High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.

Minimum age of 16. Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.

Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement. CNA training and certification required and provided by facility.

Satisfactorily completes yearly department specific competency testing and maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year. A minimum of 12 hours continuing education are required annually. Maintains all department specific required certifications.

When applicable, for applicable states, certified and registered with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry.

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long term care, under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician. Provides technical support to healthcare professionals as needed. Documents resident interactions as needed and the outcomes related to resident care, medication, behavior, activity, and dietary. Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with resident, health care providers, and the public. Ability to work effectively with professional and supportive personnel as a member of an interdisciplinary care team. Ability to communicate clearly and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Counsels residents, family members and/or resident advocate, under the direction of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider or physician on prevention and treatment plans. Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred.

If position requires IV therapy/management skills, the following is required in North Dakota: graduation from a Board approved AASPN program where IV therapy is part of the curriculum or completion of an IV Therapy course approved by the North Dakota Board of Nursing.

Must have attended a pre-licensure nursing program that included supervised clinical experience across the life span as part of the curriculum or have had a minimum of 400 hours of experience as LPN at another facility. Specific services/positions may have additional education, training or experience requirements.

Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges. The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley is generating a new applicant pool of qualified temporary instructors and invites applications for a lecturer position to teach courses in our department in the areas of Energy, Civil Infrastructure and Climate; Constructions Systems; Environmental Engineering; GeoSystems Engineering; Structural Engineering, Mechanics and Materials; Systems (Civil Systems); and Transportation Engineering.



This pool is being generated in case of need to accommodate upcoming course needs and new applicants. We plan to hire for the Spring semester, Summer Sessions , and the Fall semester, if the need arises. Candidates under consideration will be contacted by our department. Selected candidates will hold the title of Lecturer.

Role Summary: The Ramp & Customer Service Agent is responsible for above and below wing tasks which include guest interactions and ramp functions.

Key Duties:
  • Assist guests with travel needs (e.g., answering inquiries, baggage, ticketing, checking-in passengers and boarding flights) in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work outdoors in all types of weather conditions while performing below wing functions (e.g., transports baggage and cargo, loads and offloads luggage and cargo, aircraft marshaling, pushes back the aircraft and aircraft deicing).
  • Performs aircraft grooming and security searches.
  • Perform boarding and gate duties (e.g., assisting and directing guests, making announcements, process standby's and upgrade requests).
  • Process and secure guest luggage. Files and maintains luggage claims as necessary including damaged, delayed and pilferage.
  • Loads and offloads luggage and cargo with the use of conveyor belts.
  • At the direction of management, may be assigned to perform duties of varying capacities to ensure complete guest satisfaction.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills: Required:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have a valid unexpired driver's license issued by a US state, a US territory or the District of Columbia.
  • Ability to learn and operate a computerized reservation system.
  • Typing speed of at least 25 WPM.
  • Ability to consistently lift 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, reach and grasp.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematics.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to participate in paid training that may require overnight travel.
  • Depending on work location, ability to obtain USPS Mail Handling Certification.
  • Ability to obtain airport security clearance.
  • Ability to communicate in English.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum age of 18.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Preferred:
  • A minimum of 1 year of customer service or community service experience.

Starting Rate: USD $20.60/Hr. Pay Details:
  • Starting wage: $20.60 per hour (non-negotiable)
  • Schedule: 15 to 30 hours per week
  • Availability: Weekend and holiday availability is required
  • Split-shift differential: When working a split shift, employees receive a $2.00 per hour differential. A split shift includes working a morning (AM) shift, taking an unpaid break, and returning for an evening (PM) shift.
  • Effective split-shift hourly rate: $22.60 per hour (base wage + differential)
