McLeod Health is seeking a Family Medicine Residency Faculty Physician with a focus in OB for our main campus in Florence, South Carolina. McLeod Regional Medical Center annually has over two thousand deliveries with a very strong and supportive OB-GYN department. This faculty position requires supervising residents to meet all ACGME/ABFM Women's Health competency requirements. The Family Medicine Residency has a twenty-five-year obstetrical legacy with non-operative OB. The Florence program has twenty-seven residents, and it is anchored by 9 clinicians, a clinical pharmacist, a clinical psychologist, and a dentist faculty member. Our newly remodeled, thirty-seven thousand sq ft, Family Medicine Center is fully equipped with simulation models and ultrasound.
Our nationally recognized Family Medicine Residency Program offers community-based training in a 517-bed level 2 trauma center with a large Children’s Hospital. The Children’s Hospital cares for more than 56,000 children a year and offers 100 dedicated beds to Neonatal Intensive Care and Pediatric Intensive care patients. The Department of Pediatrics and the Section of Pediatric Clinical Genetics at Rush University Medical Center, a nationally recognized clinical and academic institution and the teaching hospital for Rush Medical and Nursing Colleges, invites applications for the position of Clinical Pediatric Geneticist .
The Section provides clinical genetics services in the Rush University Medical Center in Chicago as well as outreach clinics in Rush Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL. Qualified candidates must have completed an approved clinical genetics fellowship program and be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric/Clinical Genetics and/or Metabolic Genetics by the American College of Medical Genetics and be willing and able to travel to the outreach clinics as needed. Candidates will be expected to participate in both inpatient and outpatient pediatric genetics services including direct patient care and supervision of medical students and residents. Candidates must possess a strong commitment to patient care, student and resident education, and clinical medicine. Connected by a skybridge to UT Health Tyler, the MEB will support interdisciplinary education for medical students and resident training. It will also aid as part of a medical education program expansion throughout the UT Health East Texas Health System. The building is scheduled for completion in fall of 2025.
Emphasizing a community-centered approach, the UT Tyler School of Medicine combines advanced research, hands-on learning, and partnerships with regional healthcare providers to cultivate a new generation of physicians prepared to improve healthcare outcomes and enhance the quality of life in East Texas.
