Job Summary
Serving within the Research Faculty of the Institute, this position directly supports the extension, service, and economic development missions of Georgia Tech to the State of Georgia and beyond. Primarily this position provides entrepreneurial incubation and acceleration services to ATDC (Advanced Technology Development Center) member companies in strategic areas that foster development and encourage their growth. Georgia Tech EIRs (Entrepreneur-In-Residence) are comprised of seasoned entrepreneurs and/or angel investors with successful business backgrounds in order to help guide ATDC companies through high growth/funding stages. Incumbents in this role must possess recent early-stage startup experience serving in a leadership role as a startup founder, CEO, CFO, etc.

ATDC is seeking candidates with various startup skillsets (e.g. Cybersecurity; FinTech (Financial Technology); Health Technology; Internet of Things; Life Sciences; Etc.)
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and assess business potential of ATDC applicant companies and provide recommendations for membership when appropriate.
- Cultivate and advise member companies in strategic areas that foster development and encourage growth of assigned technology startups.

- Manage and cultivate relationships with investors and technology leaders to promote market outreach and business development.

Construction Scheduler
Location: Oceanside, CA - Project Based
Position Summary
Cannon Building, a premier general contractor in the life sciences, healthcare, commercial/institutional, and industrial sectors, is seeking a seasoned Scheduler to develop complex life science and healthcare construction projects in the San Diego region. This role ensures schedule accuracy, compliance with regulatory and client requirements, and proactive identification of schedule risks while supporting teams in delivering project on time and within scope.
The ideal candidate is responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing detailed project schedules for Life Science and Healthcare constructions projects, including laboratories, clean rooms, pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities, and regulated environments.
Core Competencies
- Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of construction processes specific to life sciences facilities (e.g., labs, pharmaceutical plants, cleanrooms). Familiarity with industry standards like Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and technical systems such as specialized HVAC systems and lab utilities.
- Regulatory Compliance: In-depth understanding of life sciences regulatory requirements (FDA, OSHA, ISO), particularly Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) standards for life science facilities. Proven ability to manage compliance in cleanrooms, labs, and containment areas.
- Risk Management: Skilled in conducting detailed risk assessments for life sciences projects, with experience in biosafety and environmental standards. Proficient in creating and executing contingency plans for risk mitigation.
- Technical Software Skills: Able to interpret Building Information Modeling (BIM)
Responsibilities
Project Planning and Coordination:
- Plan, coordinate, and manage project submittals and schedules to align with overall project construction.
- Prepare, monitor, and update the project schedule, coordinating with the Superintendent’s schedules and documenting delays. Establish and integrate material delivery schedules.
- Develop and maintain integrated project schedules using Primavera P6 (or similar scheduling software) for Life Science and Healthcare construction projects.
- Perform schedule updates, progress tracking, and variance analysis on a regular basis.
- Identify critical path activities, schedule risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Create Time Impact Analysis documents and effectively present information to clients and other stakeholders.
Financial Management:
• Participate in the end-of-month financial reviews, assessing the budget and reporting the project’s completion status.
• Verify subcontractor billings as requested related to billed progress.
Leadership and Communication:
• Provide leadership through effective communication with owners/clients, architects, consultants, and the project team, fostering teamwork among all stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Superintendents, Engineers, and subcontractors to establish realistic sequencing, durations, and logic.
• Organize and lead project schedule review meetings, prepare minutes and ensure all parties understand and fulfill their obligations.
Contract and Compliance Management Knowledge:
• Deep understanding of life sciences regulatory standards (FDA, OSHA, Local regulatory agencies) and how non-compliance risks can impact construction projects.
• Experience with Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) standards specific to life sciences facilities, including cleanrooms, lab spaces, and containment areas.
•Familiarity with ISO standards applicable to life sciences facilities.
Quality and Safety Assurance:
•Manage project closeout procedures, including monitoring punch list completion and preparing warranties and operations manuals.
• Support project closeout by tracking substantial completion, commissioning, and final turnover milestones.
Travel Requirements:
• Travel may be required; the position is based out of the San Diego region, with travel needed for jobs across the company as well as for meetings at our corporate location in Placentia or other areas as required.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Educational Background: Four-year college degree/Bachelor of Science Degree preferred.
- Experience Requirement: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in construction scheduling experience, preferably in Life Sciences, Healthcare, or high0tech facilities.

About the School of History and Sociology at the Georgia Institute of Technology
The School of History and Sociology (HSOC) is a uniquely interdisciplinary unit with an intellectual culture of cross-pollination between sociological and historical scholarship, as well as work in science and technology studies. The School is united around a vision of scholarship and teaching that elucidates processes of local, national, and global change, past and present. This includes promoting a broader understanding of how racial, gender, and class inequalities intersect, as well as how technology, science, environment, and culture are intertwined. The College of Sciences (CoS) and the College of Engineering (CoE) at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia invite applications for multiple tenure-track faculty positions in the field of solar-terrestrial science and/or space weather. Applicants will be considered at all ranks, though there is a particular focus on the Assistant and Associate ranks. Areas of interest include but are not limited to the Earth's ionosphere and magnetosphere, space weather forecasting and resilience. Applicants with research interests in any or all of sensors and observations from ground or satellite instruments, data analysis and data science, modeling and theoretical research, are all welcome to apply. The position will be supported by the National Science Foundation under the Faculty Development in geoSpace Science program. This unique faculty search is being pursued by a joint effort of two Colleges, enabling candidates across a broad range of backgrounds to apply. The departmental home of the hired candidate will be determined based on best fit and may be anywhere within CoS or CoE. Bharat Professorships in Computational Journalism, at its campus in Atlanta, Georgia. The Bharat Professorships will further research and innovation that focuses on information access in the public sphere, exploring responsible, civic-minded approaches to computational journalism and civic technologies broadly. - Oversight of Field Staff (Superintendents, Site Foreman, Project Engineers, Etc) and construction projects from start to finish
- Oversight of Project Estimating, Planning, Budgeting, and Identification of Resources. Working in these capacities as necessary and appropriate depending on the team’s workload.
- Oversight of coordination of the efforts of all parties involved in a project, including owner-reps, architects, consultants, and general contractors.
- Contract and pricing revisions and negotiations with the client and project ownership
- Oversight of production scheduling and execution; ensuring the project meets the scheduling requirements.
- Periodic inspection of construction sites.
- Identify the elements of project design and construction likely to give rise to disputes and claims. Work with the Project Managers to carefully review these conditions with clients and teams.
- The salary range for this position is $120,000 to $160,000 plus variable sales incentive pay. (The compensation offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills and experience).
Qualifications:
- An expert at preconstruction, construction management, and mechanical / plumbing estimating with a focus on Life Science and Biotech mechanical systems.
- Sales/Customer (5+ years) and capable of expanding Hermanson’s expertise and relationships in life science and biotech markets
- Excel and Bluebeam proficiency preferred.
- The qualified candidate must have demonstrated the ability to analyze and perform pursue/no pursue and bid/no bid recommendations and develop pursuit strategies for new business opportunities. The position will also require previous experience in evaluation, competitive environment assessment, value-based pricing, price to win analyses and probability of winning. A proven track record of negotiation and closing high value contracts involving strategic business relationships. A candidate must have the following experience:
- Contract negotiation with GC executives, Owners, Sr. PMs, & key personnel

Founded in 1985 by combining the former School of Ceramic Engineering with the Metallurgy Program housed in the School of Chemical Engineering, MSE merged in 2010 with the School of Polymer, Textile and Fiber Engineering, established in 1897 as the Textile Engineering program, the third school at GT. Assistant/Associate Professor Positions in Biology and Bioengineering
The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth invites applications for multiple tenure-track faculty positions in the life sciences and biotechnology. Appointment will be at the Assistant or Associate Professor level in either the Department of Biology or of Bioengineering beginning in September 2026.
The Biology Department in the College of Arts and Sciences is seeking candidates with a teaching and research focus in biotechnology, genetic engineering, synthetic biology, or molecular biology, whose research crosses boundaries of traditional life science disciplines and addresses questions of broad significance. Research focusing on questions in the marine environment, using marine model species, or addressing fundamental biological questions with potential relevance to life sciences is of particular interest. The Bioengineering Department in the College of Engineering seeks applications across the full breadth of biomedical engineering. The Opportunity
The Department of Physics at the University of Central Florida (UCF) invites applications for two full-time, nine-month, benefits-eligible, non-tenure earning lecturer positions, anticipated to start in August 2026.
We anticipate that one will be a Lecturer, and one available at the Lecturer or Associate Lecturer level, based on experience. Each position is renewable annually, with the possibility of summer teaching assignments. We seek candidates to teach large-enrollment sections of introductory physics courses, introductory physical science and astronomy courses for a variety of majors, as well as upper-division undergraduate courses in physics and astronomy. Minimum Qualifications:

The compensation model varies depending upon the course delivery format. For a synchronous Classroom (In-Person) or Live Online course, a reasonable estimate for this position is $2,750 - $6,800 total per course. General Duties
The department seeks candidates who can support the success of all students through inclusive curriculum, classroom environment, and pedagogy. - Responsible for finding solution for intricate timing paths (Digital, analog and mixed signal)

- Experience with several ASICs/FPGAs signoff and at least one ASIC tape-out. Good understanding of RTL to GDS flow
- Proficiency using Synopsys Primetime (or Cadence Tempus) for timing analysis and Synopsys Design Compiler (or Cadence Genus) for synthesis
- Ability to work with large physical design team to make the timing convergence successful
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
- Lead, Level 5: 15+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 10 or more years of experience with timing closure on ASICs and FPGAs
- Completed multiple first-pass success ASIC tape-outs with intricacies (Cross clock domain, async crossing etc.)
- Experience in using multiple static timing tools (Cadence Tempus, Vivado, Synopsys Primetime)
- Fair knowledge of Synopsys Fusion Compiler, Formality (Cadence LEC), and other relevant tools (e.g. TCM, Fishtail)
- Synopsys physical design AI tool experience is a plus
- Experience leading static timing closure and training new hires
- Familiarity with space-based design techniques and radiation mitigation
- Understanding of design for testability (DFT) and its implications on timing
- Capable of working independently, self starter
- Proficiency with multiple scripting languages (Python, C SHELL, TCL)
- Capable of handling timing closure on multiple designs simultaneously
