Services the Health Psychology Department currently provides:

  • Evaluation and treatment of the psychological adjustment and coping with medical conditions and associated mental health symptoms
  • Depression and anxiety with a mind/body approach
  • Cognitive Behavior Therapy

QUALIFICATIONS (minimum requirements)

Job Summary: To render professional nursing care to a group of assigned patients within the hospital. Collaborates with the medical staff and other members of the health care team to provide quality patient care. Performs all activities in accordance with approved policies and guides. Supervises and delegates appropriate duties to ancillary personnel.

Qualifications: Current RN license to practice in NC (NC licensure or multi-state (compact) license). BSN preferred; professional nursing certification preferred. Recent acute care experience within past 3 years preferred. ED experience or 1 year of Critical Care experience strongly preferred. Meets general hospital and departmental competency requirements. Maintains current technical certificates such as Basic Life Support (BLS). Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 3 months of employment. Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) required by the Emergency Department after one year of employment. CPI required.
