Position Overview
Jedson Engineering is seeking a Structural Engineering Department Manager to lead and grow our structural engineering group in Cincinnati, OH. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in structural design, proven leadership skills, and the ability to manage both people and projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Structural Engineering department, including supervising engineers, designers, and drafters.
- Oversee structural engineering deliverables across industrial and commercial projects (steel, concrete, foundations, buildings, and equipment structures).
- Provide technical guidance, quality assurance, and mentorship to team members.
- Collaborate with project managers and other discipline leads to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

About the Role
Wetherill Engineering, Inc. (WEI) is seeking a Hydraulic Design Engineer to support transportation and roadway drainage projects. This role involves hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, stormwater system design, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and analyze roadway drainage, stormwater management, and erosion control systems.
- Perform hydrology and hydraulic analysis for transportation projects.
- Develop plans for stormwater management systems, bridge and culvert hydraulics, and BMPs.
- Utilize MicroStation, GEOPAK Drainage, HEC-RAS, Open Roads Designer, and SUDA.
- Assist in fieldwork to verify site conditions.
- Support project coordination and provide technical direction.
What You Bring
- B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering (or related field).
- P.E. license preferred (or ability to obtain).

The Engineering Leader is responsible for leading the Design Engineering organization across the company and ensuring consistent, high-quality, and profitable project delivery. - Own the performance, development, and accountability of Engineering Managers leading Design Engineering teams, setting clear expectations and holding leaders responsible for team results, delivery quality, and professional growth.
- Establish and sustain a culture of ownership and accountability across the engineering organization by defining measurable standards for project delivery, documentation quality, and client satisfaction, and addressing performance gaps directly.
