The Effector Analog & Power (EAP) Department is seeking an Engineering Lab Lead. This individual will collaborate closely with other Lab Leads, Engineering staff, and Technicians to ensure the Engineering Labs adhere to established company policies and provide hardware development support to program teams.

This position works closely with all levels of leadership in multiple organizations as well as managing lab utilization across various projects. As a member of the team, this position will lead day-to-day operation requirements in Engineering Labs, with a particular focus on safety, compliance, security, improvement, and program support. The Lab Lead owns the quality and performance of the EAP Department’s Engineering Labs.

What You Will Do

• Lab Operating Procedure (LOP) Management; provide direction for lab users on established policies.
• Management, coordination, and implementation of:
• Environmental Health and Safety standards
• Lab Operating Procedures
• Property tracking and calibration
• Personnel lab access lists and training matrices
• Take a proactive role in developing, understanding, and implementing common lab processes, tools, templates, and metrics.
• Oversee audit assessment preparation; Engineering Lab Objective Evaluation and Factory & Lab Assessment reviews; develop corrective action plans and assist in the development of long-range objectives.
• Safeguard classified/proprietary material, hardware, and documentation.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineer and Mathematics and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience
• A minimum of two (2) years of experience managing safety, compliance, and processes in an Engineering, or similar, environment.

The Advanced Effector Guidance Systems (AEGS) Department within Raytheon Hardware Engineering provides Electrical Systems Engineering to develop Electronic Systems solutions for products across the Raytheon portfolio. The AEGS Department is searching for an Electrical Subsystems Guidance Section (GS) Lead with experience leading a multi-disciplinary system design and integration team. The role of the GS Lead is to lead a cross-functional and cross-discipline team of engineers through the design cycle for development and integration of a guidance section. This role will include Control Account Management (CAM) responsibilities so Earned Value (EV) certification is required.
 

What You Will Do

• Responsible for Technical, Cost, and Schedule Execution.

• Be responsible for the technical integrity of the GS, including the Technical Data Package (TDP) development, validation, and integration

• Manage costs and schedule for GS design, verification, and hardware procurement

What You Will Do:

• Direct phases of programs from inception through completion, act as an Integrated Product Manager of multi-disciplinary employees on projects in technical manufacturing and administrative areas.

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. As an Automation Systems Engineering team member, you will be responsible for delivering manufacturing automation & digital solutions to maximize the operational efficiency of our factory and program customers. The core responsibilities of this role are the development and deployment of software and operations technology infrastructure (sensors, equipment connectivity, smart tools, data systems) that support factory operations. 

What You Will Do

• Collaborate across functions to deliver Operations Technology solutions
• ·Develop custom software applications for factory customers (primarily built using Ignition platform)
• Connect the factory floor with modern applications to produce new data streams (equipment connectivity, sensor integration, smart tool deployment, etc.)
• Adapt and configure common applications and commercial software to meet customer needs
• Data extraction, management, and processing to produce meaningful visualizations and metrics
• Contribute to the overall manufacturing technology strategy for the factory

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations
• Experience with automation mechanisms, controls, robotics, and/or vision systems.
• Experience in software development using a combination of tools such as Ignition, SQL, Python, C#, .NET, HTML5.
• Experience diagnosing hardware and network-related issues effectively.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required PRIOR to START DATE (Interim or Active) . U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer

• Proficiency with Azure DevOps (or any other DevOps platform)
• Proficiency in using version control systems like Git
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Proactive and self-motivated with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
• Understanding of automation technologies such as robots, PLCs, vision systems, SCADA systems, HMI, etc.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and services, such as AWS and Azure, to effectively leverage our internal XetaCloud platform.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to assess requirements and benchmark solutions.
