Aecon Industrial Construction Corp leads the way in industrial construction and water infrastructure, providing clients in Canada and the U.S. with vertically integrated solutions and exceptional execution.
Aecon Allegiant is currently seeking Project Coordinator (Intern or Full-Time) candidates to support our team on the Samsung Semiconductor Facility in Taylor, Texas - one of the most advanced and high profile construction projects in the United States. We are interested in candidates with strong technical skills, data management abilities, and engineering or construction experience.
We are looking for a detail oriented, digitally driven Project Coordinator who excels in fast paced, data-centric environments. The role focuses heavily on building advanced Excel/database-style tracking tools, assisting with cost and quantity management, and supporting workflow automation. Individuals with engineering or construction experience are encouraged to apply.
What You'll Do Here:
- Technical Data Systems: Develop and maintain advanced Excel-based databases, dashboards, and automated tracking tools.
- Cost Control & Documentation: Track budgets, maintain cost logs, compare actuals, and support invoice/PO processing.
- Scheduling Support: Assist in monitoring and updating project schedules using available scheduling tools (excluding Microsoft Project), with emphasis on identifying conflicts and communicating impacts.
- Field–office Coordination: Act as a communication link between field teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure timely information flow.
- Reporting: Prepare daily logs, weekly progress summaries, and monthly financial reports for project leadership.
What You Bring to the Team:
- Excel (High Proficiency): Pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, nested formulas, conditional logic, and large-data handling.
- Scheduling Tools: Experience supporting schedules; Primavera P6 familiarity is an asset.
- Document Tools: Strong proficiency with Bluebeam Revu for drawing markups and reviews.
- Construction Processes: Understanding of RFIs, submittals, drawings, and construction sequencing.
- Preferred additional skills: Power BI, Python or VBA scripting, SQL/database experience, and Engineering or construction experience encouraged

Job Description
MRI Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Project Coordinator II, III & IIII who will be in charge of managing administrative and organizational duties and acting as a point of contact between SAS and on-site contractors to ensure the project operates smoothly. Preferably, PCs should possess expertise in the specific areas they are assigned to oversee, to ensure effectiveness and clarity.
In this role you will:
- Bridge the gap between field operations and SAS Management.
- Minor administrative duties as defined by SAS.
- Develop and maintain a project communication plan.
- Coordinating meetings, including scheduling, sending invitations, and preparing agendas to maintain alignment between SAS and Contractors.
- Managing field-level project documentation, ensuring all forms and reports are accurately executed, correctly filed, and accessible.
- Promoting and maintaining a team atmosphere between SAS, coordinators, tool engineers, project managers, contractors, and vendors.
- Ensure timely progress reporting, providing stakeholders with accurate project status updates.
- Overseeing and managing the day-to-day field-level operational tasks and conflict resolution.
- Promptly taking ownership of delegated or observed issues and escalating them to the relevant Stakeholders.
- Monitor and maintain Daily Reporting (DR), Pre-Task Plans (PTPs), Site Risk Analysis (SRAs), and other relevant documentation ensuring both timely and accurate execution.
- Resolve field-level SOR quantity survey disputes, if required.
- Maintaining stop-work authority by investigating and stopping work when unsafe conditions are identified.
- Conduct spot compliance audits as directed by SAS.
- Incident documentation and investigation.
- Document and engage with SAS for lessons learned.
Requirements
- Journeyman license is preferred, but relevant certifications may be accepted at SAS’ discretion.
- Experience with semiconductor or related construction industries is preferred, but knowledge of applicable construction codes and installation best practices for MEP trades is mandatory.
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field experience is preferred.
- Minimum of 4+ years of experience in construction project coordination or management, must be knowledgeable and up to date with applicable construction codes regarding installation ‘best practices’ for MEP trades.
- Proven track record of successful projects completed.
- Similar project experience in Semiconductor, Advanced Technology, or Industrial projects.
- Excellent communication and organization skills.
- Journeyman level in Piping/Mechanical preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and related construction management software.

Position Summary:
The Project Controls Administrator is responsible for managing and controlling contractual, financial, and documentation aspects of electrical construction projects.
This role plays a critical part in contract and scope management, ensuring that design changes, additional work, costs, progress billing, and project records are accurately tracked and properly administered.
The position supports project leadership in protecting contractual scope, controlling costs, and responding to schedule impacts and claims.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Contract & Scope Management (Primary Responsibility)
- Manage and control electrical contract scope, ensuring all work aligns with contractual requirements
- Track scope changes and identify out-of-scope work requiring formal approval
- Support contract compliance and coordination with project management and clients
Design Change (VO) & Additional Work Management
- Manage design changes, variations, and change orders (VO) related to electrical scope
- Prepare, track, and maintain documentation for additional work and scope adjustments
- Coordinate with engineering, field teams, and clients to ensure changes are properly approved and recorded
Cost & Budget Control (High Precision)
- Track and manage electrical construction costs and job cost breakdowns
- Monitor labor, material, and subcontractor costs against budget
- Support detailed cost analysis and reporting to project management
Progress Billing & Financial Closeout
- Manage progress billing (pay applications) and monthly quantity tracking
- Support final account settlement and project closeout activities
- Coordinate AP/AR processes with accounting teams and vendors
Schedule Impact & Claim Support
- Track schedule impacts related to design changes and scope growth
- Support documentation for delay analysis and claim preparation
- Assist project leadership in responding to time extensions and claims
Document Control & Turnover Management
- Manage and maintain project documentation, including contracts, VO logs, cost records, and correspondence
- Control shared folders and ensure document version accuracy
- Support turnover packages, including as-built documents, reports, and final deliverables
- Coordinate information flow between field teams, project management, accounting, and clients
- Ensure all records are accurate, traceable, and audit-ready
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and confidentiality requirements
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong understanding of contract and scope management in construction projects
- Ability to manage design changes, variations, and additional work accurately
- High attention to detail in cost control, progress billing, and financial tracking
- Ability to analyze schedule impacts and support delay and claim documentation
- Strong document control and turnover management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and document management platforms
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Effective communication and coordination with field teams, management, and clients
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
- Experience in construction project controls, contract administration, or cost management
- Strong understanding of electrical construction workflows and terminology preferred
- Experience with scope control, change orders, cost tracking, and progress billing
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and document management platforms
- Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with a high level of accuracy
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
Physical Requirements / Work Environment:
- Ability to work in an office and construction site environment
- Ability to sit, stand, and use a computer for extended periods
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds
- Ability to visit active construction sites as required
