Position Summary:

The Production Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing all manufacturing operations to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective production that meets company quality, delivery, and performance objectives. This role drives the facility’s safety culture, coordinates production planning and execution, and provides leadership to production supervisors and teams. The Production Manager partners closely with Planning, Maintenance, and Engineering to optimize throughput, minimize downtime, control costs, and support continuous improvement initiatives while fostering a positive, engaged, and accountable workforce.

Task/Duties/Responsibilities:

• Drive our Safety Culture throughout the facility to ensure the safety of employees, visitors, and contractors
• Interface with production planner to establish priorities and sequences for manufacturing products
• Coordinate production activities through planning with managers to ensure the total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner
• Coordinate with Maintenance and Engineering to resolve manufacturing problems to ensure minimum costs and delays
• Promote safe work practices and demonstrates a zero tolerance for non-compliance with safe work practices, policies and regulations
• Provide leadership to accomplish the company goals and objectives
• Provides direction, development and leadership to production supervisors

• Implement cost effective systems of control over capital, operating expenditures, people management, wages and salaries.
• Establish and monitor overall plant performance for production and quality standards.

• Assist in maintaining existing plant facilities and equipment; replace, or make adjustments to plant facilities and equipment when necessary
• Works with maintenance to maximize uptime and maintain preventative maintenance programs
• Incorporates shop floor organization and plant cleanliness among plant personnel

Knowledge/Skills/Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related engineering field along with 5+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 5+ years of proven manufacturing leadership experience required
• Knowledge of wire and cable products and processes preferred
• Ability to apply technical knowledge or experience to define problems, generate alternatives, and execute solutions
• Demonstrated ability to perform customary management and supervisory responsibilities, including goal setting, planning, direction, training and evaluation

The Group Quality Manager leads the end-to-end global quality strategy across all appliance platforms, manufacturing sites, suppliers, and contract manufacturing partners. This role ensures product safety, regulatory compliance, reliability, and a consistent premium customer experience while reducing warranty costs and protecting brand reputation in high-volume, long-life products.

Serving as the global leader for appliance quality strategy, this position oversees mechanical, electrical, electronic, thermal, and software-related quality throughout the full product lifecycle - from concept development through field performance - across refrigeration, cooking, ventilation, and dishwashing product categories.

This role reports directly to the President and is based in the Atlanta, GA area, with approximately 30–50% travel to domestic and international manufacturing sites, suppliers, and contract manufacturing partners.

Responsibilities:

Quality Strategy & Governance

• Define and deploy a global quality strategy for major appliances aligned with brand, safety, cost, and reliability objectives.
• Establish standardized quality policies, procedures, and KPIs across all regions and platforms.
• Act as executive escalation owner for product safety incidents, regulatory actions, recalls, and field campaigns.
• Lead management reviews and risk assessments at executive level.

Quality Management Systems & Regulatory Compliance

• Own and govern the group QMS aligned appliance-specific requirements.
• Ensure compliance with UL, CSA, IEC, CE, NOM, DOE energy efficiency, EPA refrigerant regulations, and regional safety standards.
• Lead internal, external, customer, and certification audits, as needed.
• Ensure effective CAPA systems and sustained corrective actions.

Product Development & Design Quality

• Partner with R&D to embed design-for-quality, design-for-reliability, and design-for-compliance.
• Govern DFMEA, DVP&R, reliability testing, HALT/HASS, and validation plans.
• Ensure robust design transfer and quality gates from concept through SOP.
• Approve product and engineering changes impacting safety, performance, or compliance.

Manufacturing & Process Quality

• Standardize quality processes across major appliance assembly lines, including:
• Critical-to-safety and critical-to-quality characteristics
• SPC and process capability for key operations
• Functional, safety, and end-of-line testing
• Drive defect prevention through error-proofing, in-line controls, and layered process audits.
• Support new factory launches, line transfers, and capacity expansions.

Supplier & Component Quality

• Define supplier quality standards for critical major appliance components including compressors, sealed systems, gas components, heaters, motors, PCBs, wiring harnesses, insulation, coatings, and structural parts.
• Oversee supplier qualification, audits, and ongoing performance.
• Partner with Sourcing to mitigate supply risk and manage supplier change control.
• Lead resolution of high-risk supplier quality issues.

Customer Quality, Field Performance & Warranty

• Own customer quality metrics including warranty claims, field failures, service call rates, and repeat repairs.
• Partner with Service, Field Operations, and Retail partners to analyze failure trends.
• Lead structured root cause analysis and corrective actions for systemic issues.
• Drive continuous reduction of warranty cost and field campaigns.

Cost of Poor Quality & Continuous Improvement

• Establish and manage Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) across plants and suppliers.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives to reduce scrap, rework, returns, and warranty expense.
• Deploy Lean Six Sigma and reliability engineering methodologies.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related)
• 12+ years of quality leadership in major appliance or durable consumer goods manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of regulations and certification processes
• Proven success reducing warranty and field failure costs.

Job Summary: Responsible for assisting management in the general business operations of the company by the coordination, and successful completion of the estimating phase of projects.The overall goal of the Estimator is to provide a thorough, accurate, and competitive estimate that will result in the award of a profitable project.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Estimator will be primarily involved with performing the following duties and responsibilities.

• Use discretion and independent judgment and professional skills to perform daily duties and to resolve issues in order to minimize risk to the company.
• Provide thorough, accurate and competitive cost estimates through all phases of design, from concept to construction and permit documents.
• Identify value-engineered alternatives relating to construction methods, materials, schedule, and design.
• Determine proposal specifications and the scope of work by reviewing drawings, attending and/or managing bid and preconstruction meetings, etc.
• Analyze and document cost analysis from historical projects, purchase orders, contracts, and cost reports for future use in incorporating into estimates.
• Provide design assistance and cost data regarding project feasibility to the client, design professionals, and project team.
• Prepare bid package and provide leadership and coordination on bid solicitation and RFP’s.
• Develop scopes of work for sub-trades prior to and during bid solicitation.

• Analyze proposals from subcontractors for cost, scope and completeness to determine award of work.

• Prepare preliminary project schedules during the preconstruction phase and assist the Superintendent with the contracted schedule prior to construction.
• Organize and lead the transition of the project cost estimate to the Preconstruction/Project Manager.
• Assist the Preconstruction/Project Manager with pricing and negotiating owner and subcontractor change orders.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with prospective and current clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.

This position will also require performance of the following duties:

• Advise Preconstruction Manager, Preconstruction Director or VP/GM of any potential projects with existing or new clients
• Maintain detailed records of working documents as a back-up for estimates figures, including assumptions made for conceptual designs.
• Update and maintain subcontractor and design consultant database.

• Experience with data collection, analysis, and presentation skills to adequately discuss system impact of component obsolescence issues. 

• Experience with project management working with schedules, costs, and integration of stakeholder needs throughout the obsolescence process. 

• Financial and Contract Management experience with proposals, BOE, EVMs, SOWs, CLINs and CDRLs. 

• Experience with BOM (Bill of Material) development and management for developmental and production programs. 

• Risk and Opportunity business case analysis experience supporting sustainment vs redesign cut in decisions. 

Qualifications We Prefer:  

• Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or other related science or engineering discipline 

• Ability to navigate multiple complex processes and tools. 

• Understanding of the application of technical theories and concepts as they apply to electronic components and the parts management field. 

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and hierarchy definition.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Experience with proactive and reactive component obsolescence management methodologies. 

• Experience with data collection, analysis, and presentation skills to adequately discuss system impact of component obsolescence issues. 

• Experience with project management working with schedules, costs, and integration of stakeholder needs throughout the obsolescence process. 

• Financial and Contract Management experience with proposals, BOE, EVMs, SOWs, CLINs and CDRLs. 

• Experience with BOM (Bill of Material) development and management for developmental and production programs. 

• Risk and Opportunity business case analysis experience supporting sustainment vs redesign cut in decisions.
