Job Description
Under general supervision, the Seal Repair Technician is responsible for all processes related to disassembly and assembly of rotating equipment. The Seal Repair Technician follows instruction from a Repair job packet and router to perform DCI (Dismantle Clean and Inspect) and gives a written description of the wear and condition of critical components seal.
This position completes all inspection forms taking pictures of all critical components and uses inspection equipment for proper documentation of the assembly. With assistance identifies, inspects and evaluates material returned, determines repair operations, performs simple shop operations, verify specifications, initiate work and purchase orders.
Receives John Crane parts and materials returned by customers and branch offices. Evaluates from a condition of material, checks current drawing revisions and general product knowledge whether material is repairable or non-repairable.
- Identifies and inspects material returned.
- Ensures all components are properly cleaned and free from foreign material per departmental procedures
- Performs the assembly of the seal once the repair has been released to the shop and all components have been replaced or reconditioned and marked ready for assembly.
- Under close supervision, repairs returned seals and seal parts.
- May perform parts structuring, checks cost structure, and determines price of repair, ensures assembly is structured correctly, and price repair.
- Determines necessary repair operations, ensures BOM (bill of materials) / drawings / repair parts match.
- Performs simple operations on drill press (single spindle), tool post grinder, bead blast polisher and lapping machine.
- Verifies part specifications with measuring instruments such as micrometer, vernier caliper, dial indicator and optical flats.
- May initiates purchase orders for new jobs if vendors are involved.
- Consults with Engineering or Sales departments as necessary.
- Maintains necessary records and small inventory of seal parts used for repair orders.
- Works from factory work orders, prints, rework orders and verbal instructions.
- Assists newer repair personnel as necessary.
- Sets up and troubleshoots lapping machines for repair maintenance.
- May perform direct contact with customers on service and/or phone, checks computer system for credit and address information, price repairs
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in mechanical assembly positions
- Experience with mechanical seals is a plus

SCOPE
The Welder / Fabricator is responsible for fabricating, repairing, and maintaining stainless steel equipment, structural components, and production machinery used in making product. This role supports production by ensuring all fabrication work meets food safety standards, sanitary design requirements, and plant maintenance needs. The Welder will weld, cut, and braze metal pieces and products by using flame-cutting and hand welding equipment.
Principle Accountabilities
- Support without hesitation General Plant Safety, Food Safety, Food Defense Initiatives and Good Manufacturing Practices with an understanding that these are absolutes and are Priority #1.
- Plans details of work order procedures; gathers required tools and materials based on instructions and specifications provided for the job.
- Fabricate, weld, and assemble stainless steel components used in bakery production equipment, conveyors, racks, and support structures.
- Perform TIG, MIG, and stick welding on stainless steel, mild steel, and aluminum materials.
- Repair damaged bakery equipment, including mixers, conveyors, ovens, pans, racks, and piping using cutting, burning, and welding techniques and equipment.
- Monitors the welding, burning, and fitting process to ensure parts are not overheated or damaged by warping, distortion, expansion, or shrinkage.
- Modify existing equipment to improve production efficiency or meet operational requirements.
- Prepares, assembles, and tacks weld parts and surfaces to be welded.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and fabrication drawings to complete projects accurately.
- Ensure all fabricated equipment meets food safety and sanitary welding standards for food manufacturing.
- Grind, polish, and finish welds to maintain hygienic surfaces suitable for food production.
- Work closely with the maintenance and engineering teams to support plant projects and equipment upgrades.
- Maintain welding equipment, tools, and fabrication shop area.
- Follow OSHA safety regulations and food safety policies (GMPs).
- Assist with installation of new bakery equipment and production lines.

Role Overview:
The Vice President & General Manager will lead operations for Veranova’s West Deptford site, a high-throughput API manufacturing facility specializing in small molecules and controlled substances. This role is accountable for driving process excellence, ensuring compliance with DEA and FDA regulations, and delivering operational and financial performance. The GM will foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement while collaborating with Veranova’s Leadership Team to leverage growth opportunities across multiple sites internationally.
Core Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership:
- Able to define a vision for a site of approximately 200 staff members, including the development of a 3 to 5 year operating plan
- Prior experience managing responsibility of the P&L and balance sheet for a manufacturing site.
- Deliver annual revenue, profit, EBITDA, and cash targets through effective P&L management.
- Execute capital projects on average of +$10M to ensure facilities, equipment, and systems meet production demand and compliance requirements.
- Develop and execute site master plan which includes building talent capabilities that results in the site meeting branded large pharma industry standards to facilitate new business.
- Regulatory & Compliance:
- Ensure strict adherence to cGMP, FDA, and DEA regulations for controlled substances.

Night Shift hours (4:30p - 1:00a)
Sets up, writes programs and edits existing programs, and operates numerically controlled machinery. These include but are not limited to lathes, mills, drills, and other machinery as required.
- Maintains quality and tolerances within .0003”.
- Follow written and verbal procedures for machining and other duties.
- Work from work order routings, prints, sketches, layout sheets, written and verbal instructions.
- Working knowledge of programming languages and the ability to learn / adapt per machine.
- Must be able to recognize and understand functions of machine parameters with the ability to modify as required per supervisor’s instructions.
- Utilize knowledge of working properties for a variety of materials such as stainless steel, alloy steel, cast iron, brass, exotics, etc.
- Presets tools and may be required to re-sharpen.
- Inspect work produced using micrometer; bore gage, venire calipers, or other measuring instruments to verify conformance to specifications.
- Follow preventative maintenance procedures on equipment as prescribed by supervisor and report operating difficulties of equipment to supervisor.
- Perform duties in accordance with company safety policies, reports unsafe conditions to supervisor.

Role Overview:
The Reliability Engineer is responsible for guiding efforts to ensure reliability and maintainability of equipment, processes, utilities, facilities and controls in collaboration with the Maintenance Department. This role will identify and manage asset reliability risks that could adversely affect plant or business operations.
Core Responsibilities:
- Professionally and systematically defines, designs, develops, monitors, and refines an asset maintenance plan that includes:
- Value-added preventive maintenance tasks for new and existing equipment.
- Effective utilization of predictive and other non-destructive testing methodologies designed to identify and isolate inherent reliability problems.
- Develops and provides input to a risk management plan that will anticipate reliability-related and non-reliability related risks that could adversely impact plant operations.
- Participates in the development of criteria for and evaluation of equipment and technical MRO suppliers and technical maintenance service providers.
- Develops engineering solutions to repetitive failures and all other problems that adversely affect plant operations. These issues may include capacity, quality, cost or regulatory compliance issues. To fulfill this responsibility, the reliability engineer applies data analysis techniques that could include:
- Reliability modeling and prediction
- Fault tree analysis
- Six Sigma methodology
- Root cause analysis (RCA) and root cause failure analysis (RCFA)
- Failure reporting, analysis and corrective action system (FRACAS)
- Works with Production to perform analyses of assets including:
- Asset utilization
- Equipment effectiveness
- Remaining useful life
- Other parameters that define operating condition, reliability and costs of assets.
- Provides technical support to maintenance personnel.
- Participates in the development of design and installation specifications along with commissioning plans and participates in the final commissioning of new installations.
- Applies value analysis to repair/replace, repair/design and make/buy decisions.
- Carry out any other duties which are within the employee’s skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed.
Required
- BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering, Reliability Engineering, or equivalent degree.
- Minimum of 5 years of maintenance and reliability, production management, engineering or operations experience.
- Experience with and a thorough understanding of technical concepts, practices and procedures in bulk pharmaceutical manufacturing, and related support systems.
- Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and the tools associated with failure detection (i.e. vibration analysis, oil monitoring and thermography) as well as the software associated with them.
- Working knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems.
- Experience working with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, and Visio)
- Ability to read and understand repair manuals, specifications, drawings, and schematic diagrams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and detail oriented.
- Good technical writing skills
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Lean/Six Sigma experience.
