We are looking for an experienced Technical Manager to lead the technical performance of our fleet at KOTUG International Americas. This key role ensures all vessels meet KOTUG standards, comply with class and statutory requirements, and operate safely, efficiently, and sustainably. The Technical Manager will oversee our onshore technical team and onboard engineering crew, manage OPEX and CAPEX budgets, and ensure all maintenance, repairs, and major projects are executed to the highest quality.

Qualifications:

• First class Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency OR Minimum 3 years of sea experience as chief engineer of offshore support vessels; AND

Responsibilities:

General:

• Abides by company by-laws including policies and procedures.
• Ensure Vessels are maintained in compliance with statutory, class and charterparty requirements.
• Provide secondary back up to the Technical Superintendents during i.e. absence and dry-docking periods.
• Ensure, promote and champion HSEQ in line with company values in all working conditions.

Operational:

• Manages and ensures proper working of any Planned Maintenance System on board the vessels. Monitors the technical and maintenance of vessels in accordance to utilization and lifecycles and schedules
• Budget operational expenses (OPEX) and manages actual spend versus budget
• Monitor dry dock planning of the fleet.
• Monitor dry dock costs against the budget.
• Analyze dry dock yards ’tenders.
• Oversee the fleet technical performance and compliance with statutory requirements.
• Manage the technical team to guarantee effective operations
• Oversee the vessel performance including the approving of any major vessel repairs.
• Maintain & promote an open and effective line of communication between ship and shore team.
• Ensures vessels meet client specific technical requirements and maintain technical specification as agreed with clients.
• Lead, Supervise, Appraise and Support Technical Staff and Onboard Vessel Engineering Staff.
• Direct s effective implementation and management of Company's Preventive Maintenance Program.
• Evaluate & ensure critical spare inventory and distribution to ensure maximum vessel service reliability.
• Monitor vessel condition through daily review of vessel technical reports and regular on-board inspections.
• Monitor and maintain vessel equipment and operating performance in synchronization with Company's vessel specifications.

Authority:

• Supervisory responsibilities include the management and directing of the technical staff and onboard engineering staff.
• Approval authority for technical purchases and services within budget limits.

Key Responsibilities:

Computer System Validation (CSV)

• Review and approve CSV lifecycle documents (VMP, URS, FRS, HDS, Risk Assessments, IQ/OQ/PQ, RTM, Summary Reports).
• Ensure risk-based validation approaches aligned with GAMP 5, 21 CFR Part 11, and Data Integrity (ALCOA+) principles.
• Evaluate system changes through change control, assessing GxP impact and validation requirements.
• Support periodic reviews and re-validation activities for existing systems.

Digital Systems & Platforms

• Act as Quality reviewer/approver for systems including:
• o MES / EBR platforms (e.g., Werum PAS-X or similar)
• o Historians (OSIsoft PI or equivalent)
• o Advanced analytics tools (Seeq, used for GxP trending)
• o Empower and other lab systems
• Review configurations related to data acquisition, time stamping, audit trails, access control, and electronic records/signatures.
• Ensure proper segregation between GxP vs non-GxP analytics use cases.

Data Integrity & Compliance:

• Assess and approve data flows, interfaces, and integrations between systems.
• Support regulatory inspections (FDA, EMA) and internal audits related to computerized systems.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with Engineering, Automation, MS&T, IT, and Operations to:
• o Enable faster project execution with compliant validation strategies
• o Avoid over-validation while maintaining inspection readiness
• Provide Quality input during project design, FAT/SAT, and commissioning phases.

Required Qualifications:

Education:

• Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Life Sciences, or related field.

Your mission:

Department Leadership

Your experience should include...

• 7+ years of progressive security engineering experience across Security Architecture, Cryptography, Network, Cloud, Mobile, and Web Security.
• Skilled in Secure Development Lifecycle, Security by Design, and Shift Left methodologies.
• Proficient in Threat Modeling, Architecture Review, Penetration Testing, Code Review, SAST, and DAST.
• Strong scripting abilities in languages such as Python, C, C++, Java, Ruby, and PowerShell.
• Adept at applying security best practices for compliance, with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

We have an opportunity at our corporate offices in Chicago for a Sr. Data Engineer (Hybrid) on our Information Technology team. This is a hybrid position reporting into our Chicago, IL office, requiring 3 days a week in the office.

As a Sr. Data Engineer, you will play a key role in implementing
and maintaining AMA's enterprise data platform to support analytics,
interoperability, and responsible AI adoption. This role partners closely with
platform engineering, data governance, data science, IT security, and business
stakeholders to deliver highquality, reliable, and secure data products. This
role contributes to AMA's modern lakehouse architecture, optimizing data
operations, and embedding governance and quality standards into engineering
workflows. This role serves as a
senior technical contributor within the team-providing mentorship to junior
engineers and implementing engineering best practices within the data platform function,
in alignment with architectural direction set by leadership.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Data Engineering & AI Enablement

• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and
  ETL/ELT workflows supporting analytics, operational reporting, and AI/ML use
  cases.
• Implement best practice patterns for ingestion,
  transformation, modeling, and orchestration within a modern lakehouse
  environment (e.g., Databricks, Delta Lake, Azure Data Lake).
• Develop highperformance
  data models and curated datasets with strong attention to quality, usability,
  and interoperability; create reusable engineering components and automation.
• Collaborate with the Architecture Team, the Data
  Platform Lead, and federated IT teams to optimize storage, compute, and
  architectural patterns for performance and costefficiency.
• Build model-ready data sets and feature
  pipelines to support AI/ ML use cases; serve as a technical coordination point
  supporting business units' AI-related infrastructure needs.
• Collaborate with data scientists and AI Working

Governance, Quality & Compliance

• Embed data governance, metadata standards,
  lineage tracking, and quality controls directly into engineering workflows;

  retention, and access standards.
• Implement privacybydesign and securitybydesign
  principles, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory

• Maintain documentation for pipelines, datasets,
  and transformations to support transparency and audit requirements.

Platform Reliability, Observability & Optimization

• Monitor and troubleshoot pipeline failures,
  performance bottlenecks, data anomalies, and platformlevel issues.
• Implement observability tooling, alerts,
  logging, and dashboards to ensure endtoend reliability.
• Support cost governance by optimizing compute
  resources, refining job schedules, and advising on efficient architecture.
• Collaborate with the Data Platform Lead on
  scaling, configuration management, CI/CD pipelines, and environment management.
• Collaborate with business units to understand
  data needs, translate them into engineering requirements, and deliver
  fit-for-purpose data solutions; share and apply best practices and emerging
  technologies within assigned initiatives.
• Work with IT Security and Legal/ Compliance to
  ensure platform and datasets meet risk and regulatory standards.
  

Staff Management

• Lead, mentor, and provide management oversight
  for staff.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field preferred or equivalent work experience and HS diploma/equivalent education required.
2. 5+ years of experience in data engineering within cloud environments
3. Experience in people management preferred.
4. Demonstrated hands-on experience with modern data platforms (Databricks preferred).
5. Proficiency in Python, SQL, and data
   transformation frameworks.
6. Experience designing and operationalizing
   ETL/ELT pipelines, orchestration workflows (Airflow, Databricks Workflows), and

7. Solid understanding of data modeling,

This role is an exempt position, and the salary range for this position is $115,523.42-$150,972.44. We are seeking skilled Make-Ready Designers (primary focus) and Power Distribution Designers to support engineering programs for major electric and telecom utilities. Ideal candidates bring demonstrated experience in overhead utility pole design, NESC application, clearance assessment, pole loading analysis, and construction package development.
