Controls & Systems Analyst to support both our industrial automation projects. This role blends hands-on engineering—such as site surveys, control panel design, and automation support—with internal software development, troubleshooting, and system enhancements. What You'll Do
- Conduct site surveys and collaborate with customers and project teams to define technical requirements.
- Review bid specs, drawings, and documentation to support accurate project quoting.
- Design industrial control panels, including layouts, wiring diagrams, and hardware selection.
- Support internal business systems through analysis, coding, testing, and maintenance of applications.
- Coordinate resources and timelines for larger system projects.

What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Experience in controls engineering and industrial automation support preferred.
- Familiarity with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, sensors, and industrial electrical principles.
- Electrical CAD drawing experience (AutoCAD or BricsCAD preferred), CAD macro scripting a plus.
- Strong communication, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
- Customer-focused mindset and ability to work cross-functionally.
- Valid driver's license with insurable driving record.
NOVA Engineering is currently seeking afully-certified Commercial Building Code Inspector in Panama City Beach FL. Primary duties will include performing building code inspections and/or plans review (building / structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing – as licensed) on residential and commercial buildings, as well as managing specific projects related to these types of code inspections. Some travel may be required for inspections and/or managing projects in the assigned area. The inspector positions are predominately located in the field but may occasionally include office assignments.
Essential Functions:
- Building Code Review and/or Quality Control Inspections on commercial construction projects (Building, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing)
- Prepare written and electronic reports, and issue notices of correction
- Explain and interpret code and/or quality control regulations or requirements
- Recognize, evaluate and properly resolve unique problems or situations
- Maintain effective customer service relationship with clients and the public
- Assist the inspection management team with business development
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Manager
Qualifications:
- Required state of Florida commercial building inspection license (BN#) in two or more of the following disciplines: Building (Structural), Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing.
- 3+ years’ experience performing plan review and/or inspections

About the Role
We're seeking a Drainage Engineer with experience in water resources, stormwater management, and hydraulic design to join our growing Transportation Design team. This role plays a key part in developing drainage systems for roadway and infrastructure projects across Florida. The ideal candidate is a technically strong, detail-oriented engineer who enjoys problem-solving and collaborating across disciplines to deliver high-quality, innovative solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare drainage design calculations, reports, and construction plans in accordance with FDOT, local, and federal requirements.
- Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling using software such as ICPR, HEC-RAS, HY-8, ASAD, and other stormwater modeling tools.
- Design and analyze stormwater management systems, conveyance systems, retention/detention ponds, and culverts.
- Support preparation of Permit applications and supporting documentation for local, state, and federal agencies (FDOT, FDEP, SWFWMD, SFWMD, etc.).
- Collaborate with roadway, utility, and environmental teams to ensure design integration and constructability.
- Contribute to project reports, specifications, cost estimates, and technical presentations.
- Perform quality reviews of design work and coordinate with senior staff for mentorship and technical guidance.
- Participate in field visits, data collection, and construction support activities as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (Master's preferred).
- E. (Professional Engineer) in Florida preferred or the ability to obtain within 12 months.
