MHS is hiring married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. In this unique and life-changing career, couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students living in the home. Flex Houseparents play a vital role in creating a structured, family-like environment that fosters students’ academic, emotional, and social development so they can reach their full potential.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing daily supervision and mentorship

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Immigration Paralegal / Legal Assistant with 1–2 years of law firm experience who is organized, fast, and comfortable working in a deadline-driven environment.
This role is ideal for someone who:

Experience in business immigration is preferred — but we are willing to train the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and assist with immigration filings and supporting documentation
- Draft forms, cover letters, exhibits, and supporting packets
- Organize and maintain electronic case files
- Communicate directly with clients regarding document requests, case updates, and follow-ups
- Draft clear, professional emails and written communications to clients
- Manage deadlines and follow-ups across multiple matters
- Perform document formatting, exhibit preparation, and PDF management
- Support attorneys and senior staff with case preparation and workflow management
Required Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience as a paralegal or legal assistant in a law firm
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered. Paralegal certificate is a plus.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word required; Outlook, Excel, Adobe Acrobat)
- Fast and accurate typing skills (touch typing preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfort speaking and writing directly to clients in a professional setting
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Strong document formatting and attention to detail are essential. Much of our work involves preparing polished, USCIS-ready filing packages.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with business immigration filings (NIV or IV cases, corporate immigration, EB-5, etc.)
- Advanced Word formatting and document organization skills
- Strong PDF/Acrobat skills (combining, bookmarking, pagination, OCR, exhibit labeling)
- Comfort using AI tools in a responsible, confidential, and professional manner to improve efficiency and workflow is a plus
- Experience working in a collaborative team environment
Work Environment
- Hybrid schedule: approximately 3 days per week in our Rockville office
- Additional in-office days may be required depending on workload and case demands

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range of $50,000–$75,000 per year, commensurate with experience
