MHS is hiring married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. In this unique and life-changing career, couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students living in the home. Flex Houseparents play a vital role in creating a structured, family-like environment that fosters students’ academic, emotional, and social development so they can reach their full potential.

Responsibilities include:


  • Providing daily supervision and mentorship
  • Managing household routines and student schedules
  • Administering medications and ensuring student wellness
  • Driving students to activities, as well as planning and actively engaging in developmental and recreational activities with students
  • Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel
  • Overseeing budgeting and household reporting

Upon hire, Flex Houseparents initially support various student homes and follow a working schedule of nine consecutive days on duty, followed by three days off. On weekdays, houseparents have unscheduled time while students are in school. Flex Houseparents eventually transition into a Placed Houseparent role, where they live and work with the same group of students in their own student home.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned professional to work on complex and high net worth estate planning, tax planning, and wealth preservation strategies.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estate planning, estate tax returns, a deep understanding of wealth management, and a proven track record in advising high net worth clients.

This role requires a minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities: 1.

Provide comprehensive legal advice to high net worth individuals and families regarding tax planning, estate planning, and wealth preservation.

2.

Draft, review, and revise complex legal documents including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives.

3.

Collaborate with other professionals such as financial advisors, accountants, and tax consultants to develop holistic estate plans.

4.

Stay abreast of current legislation and regulatory changes that may affect clients' estate and tax planning.

5.

Develop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of their wealth management goals and objectives.

6.

Represent clients in probate and trust administration matters.

7.

Conduct legal research and analysis on various estate and tax planning matters.

8.

Provide guidance on the legal implications of various wealth management strategies.

9.

Develop and implement tax-efficient structures for wealth preservation and succession planning.

Qualifications: 1.

Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

2.

A minimum of 5+ years of experience in estate planning, tax planning, and wealth management.

3.

Licensed to practice law in IL.

4.

Proven experience advising high net worth clients on estate and tax planning.

5.

Extensive knowledge of federal and state tax laws, estate planning, trusts, and wealth preservation strategies.

6.

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal and financial concepts in a clear and concise manner.

7.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.

8.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

9.

High degree of professional ethics and integrity.

10.

Excellent client management skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality legal services.

11.

Proficiency in legal research tools and software.

12.

Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
