In this unique and life-changing career, couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students living in the home. Job Description

The Clinical Trial Rater, a mental health professional, will be solely responsible for interviewing research participants and their informants/caregivers who are being evaluated to participate in a research study for various cognitive and behavior disorders.

  • Review patient’s medical history collected by the Wake Research Staff/Clinicians
  • Communicates with the patient as well as the patient’s study partner/informant
  • The Clinical Trial Rater will administer semi-structured test or rater scales as per protocol, not limited to CDR, ADAS-COG, MMSE, CSSRS, Cognitive Battery Test, ESS, and like exams
  • Attend and successfully complete all training programs; participate in ongoing conference calls, webinars, and other professional development opportunities

Qualifications

Performs manufacturing engineering tasks under minimal guidance that are varied and complex, which require troubleshooting and interpreting data. Develops and implements new test methods or manufacturing processes purpose of reducing costs and improving efficiency.


Job Responsibilities

  1. Performs a variety of engineering assignments to develop and implement production/processing methods and controls to meet quality standards in a cost efficient manner
  2. Provides liaison support between the engineering department and manufacturing
  3. Recommends and implements improvements and/or modifications for sequence of operations, equipment utilization and related matters
  4. Monitors assigned operations to assure compliance with current project schedules and approved quality standards
  5. Makes recommendations regarding the purchase or building of new equipment or modernization of existing production/processing equipment
  6. Recommends design modifications or process changes during design of new products
  7. Evaluates current technologies for cost reduction and for product and production improvement; check and approve drawings/designs, standard work as well as develop new systems
  8. Manages the install of new tools, fixtures, and equipment into the facility.
  9. Monitors and supports facility metrics for safety, quality, delivery and cost
  10. Performs other duties as assigned


Job Skills Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of engineering concepts, practices and procedures engineering standards and systems
  • Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing production/cell development
  • Ability to read and interpret computer aided drawings and prints
  • Ability to manage projects
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact with and motivate a diverse group of people
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location


Education

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Related field


Experience Requirements

  • Five years of engineering experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
