As the Lead Estimator, our ideal candidate for this position will;

· Utilize construction knowledge and experience to execute detailed estimates for bids of complex civil construction projects.

· Possess basic project management skills including contract management, submittals, scheduling, material procurement, etc. 

· Experience reading and interpreting plans and specifications to complete take-offs and estimating.

· Identify projects to bid, estimate costs, coordinate subcontractor and supplier bids, and ensure timely and accurate bid submissions.

· Work with project management staff following a successful bid to oversee project set up and change orders.

· Operate in a team atmosphere helping the owner, PMs and Foreman to establish successful project implementation, cost control, and final resolution.

· Comfortable building relationships and negotiating with subcontractors, suppliers and owners

· Enjoy working in a relaxed office environment while working efficiently.


Necessary Experience & Skills

· Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Technology, or equivalent experience will be considered

· 5+ years of proven background in civil construction industry such as underground utilities, earthwork, and/or road construction.

· Extensive knowledge of civil construction process from bidding to closeout, appropriate equipment selections, and safety standards.

· Competent in Microsoft Office, specifically with Excel and Outlook applications

· Experience utilizing HeavyBid construction software.

· Understand specs and blueprints with a high level of attention to detail

· Desire to learn and problem solve, continuously improve and pursue better outcomes.

· Effective communication, with an excellent attitude in all aspects of work duties

As a Printhead Technician, you will focus on printhead operational performance improvement for Kodak Prosper S-Series, Prosper press and Ultra Stream customers. Work will include analyzing customer data, visiting customer sites to investigate current conditions, and developing and implementing customized improvement plans. The Printhead Technician will coordinate with customer management, operators and Kodak field service to ensure equipment and processes are at optimum conditions to promote the reliability of Kodak printheads and writing systems. Close interaction with other engineering disciplines is required due to the complex printing system consisting of fluid mechanics, electronics, software and materials. The Printhead Technician will have direct contact and develop vital working relationships with current customers, field service engineers, Sustaining engineers/technicians and Manufacturing operations. Additional duties include but are not limited to failure analysis of returned jetting modules, developing and delivering training materials, supporting ink jet integration on Prosper and Ultra Stream presses and generating trip reports to be shared with Kodak and customer management. Domestic travel to customer sites is expected to be between 5% - 15%.

Responsibilities:

• Obtain and Analyze Printhead Performance Data. Use Kodak’s database and interact with the sales representative, field service organization and end customers to obtain and analyze customer data to investigate printhead life trends, system utilization, operating conditions and system configurations.

• Coordinate and Deliver Customer Training Visits. Work with field service and customers to plan and execute on-site visits to train operators and maintenance personnel on the best practices for optimum system performance. Investigate production, equipment or management conditions that may be negatively impacting the performance of Kodak printheads or writing systems.

• Develop and Execute Post-Visit Support Plans. After analyzing available data and conducting on-site training visits, provide improvement recommendations to the customer. Continue to follow up with the customer to ensure the plan is executed, then monitor and communicate the results to internal and external stakeholders.

• Revise Training Documentation and Materials. Work to improve current processes and training methods in order to achieve more effective outcomes or update documentation in response to new product developments.

• Provide Feedback and Assistance to Kodak Engineering and Manufacturing. Perform failure analysis on printheads returned from customers and work with internal Kodak departments to recommend process, software or design improvements.

• Support ink jet installation and start up on Prosper and Ultra Stream presses during integration at Kodak South.

Requirements:

• 5+ years in a technical contributor role or Customer Service

• Methodical approach to understanding customer workflow and quality goals, then translate them into successful system operations

• Extremely strong verbal and written English communication skills, including the ability to write technical procedures for system operations

• 15% domestic travel, including week-ends

What You Will Do:

  • Interpret inspection reports, drawings, and specifications to ensure part dimensions are compliant.
  • Communicate within and outside of the quality department to report on parts status.
  • Assist in resolution of operational, quality, and maintenance resource issues as they arise.
  • Report maintenance-related issues with equipment to appropriate personnel.
  • Notify other shifts of problems encountered and steps toward resolution.
  • Work in a team environment to accomplish work and solve problems.
  • Maintain appropriate records related to the Quality System.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.


What You Will Bring:

  • A Bachelor’s OR Associate/2-year degree not required, but a plus.
  • Candidate must have a high school diploma or GED with manufacturing environment experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience performing precision measurements and inspections using CMMs or other measurement equipment.
  • Good experience in PolyWorks Probing system.
  • Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) interpretation and application.
  • Participation in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and product quality.
  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions and product blueprints in English.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.


Pay Range: $33/hour - $35/hour (Sign on bonus available)


Compensation decisions are made based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors, in accordance with our internal pay structure. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plan.


Work Requirements: This role is considered an on-site position located in Troy, OH.

  • Second Shift hours: 3PM-11PM (Weekdays)
  • You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours.
  • Shop floor environment, which may include but not limited to extensive walking, and ability to lift up to 40 lbs.


Travel Requirements: Due to the nature of the work, no travel is required.


Citizenship Requirement: Due to the nature of the work, U.S. citizenship is required.
