Great American Restaurants is seeking an experienced Director of Construction Development to join our growing construction team. This on-site role is based out of our support center office in Fairfax, Virginia, with frequent on-site work expected at all new and existing locations. Established in 1974, Great American Restaurants operates thirteen high-volume, upper casual restaurants, an upscale dining location, three artisan bakeries, and a fast-casual BBQ joint in Northern Virginia and Maryland.

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, kitchen designers, general contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to deliver ground-up builds and major remodels on time and within budget.
- Apply strong technical expertise in construction processes and building design, working with architects, engineers, and trades to build complex, high-quality restaurant environments.
- Review and validate architectural and MEP plans. Identify and address issues prior to mobilization.

How You'll Contribute:
A Media Sr Project Manager (SPM) is responsible for the scope, schedule, cost, quality, and client satisfaction of a project throughout its entire lifecycle, from Initiation through Closing phases. However, the PM depends on the help of other people to perform most of the actual activities of the project. A project manager's role is primarily focused around written and verbal communication to all project stakeholders. The PM is responsible for overseeing and performing project management functions on all Broadcast projects, budgets, and scopes. The SPM will act as the person responsible for their assigned projects and have direct control over all project activities. Daily activities include project communications, scheduling, task lists for team participants, managing deliverables from the consulting team, and overseeing the completion of projects. The PM is responsible for completing consulting projects on time, on budget and achieving high levels of customer satisfaction from our customers. Most of this employee's time will be spent managing projects and communicating with all project stakeholders. This person will be helping to constantly improve the established Diversified processes. As the primary interface to the client, the project manager develops a strong long-term relationship. They manage the client relationship, including expectations, communications, and satisfaction.
What You'll Do:
- Provides clear leadership and ownership for the project within Diversified, including accurate and timely verbal and written communication and follow up.
- Coordinates all activities associated with the timely, accurate and on-budget completion of the project, including engaging stakeholders, delegating responsibilities clearly and running client and internal project meetings.

- Coordinates all deliverable documentation between all internal and external stakeholders. Facilitate and directs document reviews to assure proper documentation is delivered to the client. Provides punch-list of remaining tasks after substantial completion.
- Contracts with contractors when necessary.
- Monitors status of projects including cost, timing, and staffing to ensure timely and accurate completion of projects.
- Ensure quality and continuous improvement.
- Coordinates transition of projects to later phase project teams.
Complexity:
Every project is different, and project stakeholders are different. The SPM needs to negotiate a very complex set of variables between discovery, analysis, conceptual design, and a widely varying set of expectations with multiple stakeholders. The skill of communicating both verbally and in writing to manage all these variables takes a very high level of awareness, emotional intelligence, and people management skills. The PM is constantly managing the forces of change in every project environment. Balancing schedules, budgets, scope, quality, and client satisfaction are a very complex set of variables.

Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that may be met by an employee. The employee will experience normal office conditions and be required to use office equipment such as computers, peripherals, etc.
Travel:
Some travel by car and occasional airplane trips should be expected as much of our consulting work is conducted remotely with occasional in-person meetings. Employee must possess a valid driver's license in their state of residence. Employee will be required to use their own vehicle and will be reimbursed for mileage at the current corporate rate. 10% remote travel is not unusual.
Safety:
When meeting a client in person, Diversified requires PMs to ensure the team is conducting themselves in a safe manner and adheres to our site visit requirements. This may include:
- Maintain and wear appropriate PPE as the job and tasks require it.
- Ensure hazards are addressed and rectified in a timely manner.
- Participate in incident investigations and reporting.
- Conduct safety walk-throughs on project sites.
- Prepare safety paperwork as needed including but not limited to JSA, and Site safety Plans.
What do we require from you?
Education/Certifications:
- A PMP certification from the Project Management Institute is desired.
- Other relevant certifications may be required or preferred based on the technology focus of the position. This includes Certified Scrum Master (CSM), demonstrated knowledge of Agile project management, software project management, program management, organizational change, management, and possibly cloud technologies.

- 5+ years of experience as a project manager in media technology projects, especially in consulting.
- Knowledgeable of broadcast operations and technologies.

- Demonstrated knowledge of broadcast technology, equipment, facilities, and production systems used in the Media and Entertainment / Broadcast industry. Formats include high-definition, UHD and HDR video systems deployed using analog, SDI and SMPTE 2110 IP transport protocols.
- Understanding of TCP/IP routing, ACL's, QoS, VLAN's and Wireless Access Points.
- Certified Scrum Master = a definite plus.
- Proven track record of successfully completing engineering projects.
- A clear understanding of project phases Program, Conceptualization, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction and Commissioning.
- A thorough, demonstrable understanding of the consulting process including discovery, business analysis, gap analysis, workflow documentation, conceptual system diagrams, and development of roadmaps, presentations, and written narratives for project findings. Step into Your New Role
As a Construction Inspector-Senior, you will perform general construction inspection tasks to verify compliance standards codes, and ordinances, zoning regulations, as well as contract plans, specifications, and special provisions. Projects will consist of bridges, roadways, and environmental components to these services. This position is available in Northern Virginia, Richmond, Lynchburg, Christiansburg, and Hampton Roads areas of VA.
Responsibilities:
- Inspects and monitors construction sites and the various work activities on these sites to verify adherence to standards, codes, and specifications.
- Prepares and submits daily reports documenting inspections and other relevant project information.
- Must adhere to all project contract documentation and testing of materials associated with inspections.

Position: We are seeking a highly-experienced General Counsel to join our Legal Department. You will lead legal advisory services and strategic guidance for our business lines, serving as a trusted advisor to the owners, senior leadership team and program leaders. This position will provide strategic legal counsel and expert guidance on a range of matters critical to the success and growth of our defense manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in all aspects of US federal government contracts, ideally DoW contracts, as well as reviewing and negotiating agreements with subcontractors and other companies. This position will work across multiple divisions of the company and include interacting with external counsel retained for specialized services. US Citizenship is required.
Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice on all aspects of U.S. federal government contracts, including FAR, DFARS, and agency specific regulations for contract formation, negotiation, performance, modification, compliance, and closeout. Provide legal risk assessments for bids, proposals, and ongoing contracts.
- Advise on cost allowability, contract claims/disputes, contract terminations, and bid protests.
- Oversee the negotiation of teaming agreements, NDAs, subcontracts, and other related agreements with primes, subcontractors, and commercial partners.
- Assist in responding to government audits, investigations, and inquiries, including from the DCAA, DCMA, and OIG.
- Support internal compliance programs, training, and policy development related to government contracting.
- Engage and coordinate with outside counsel as directed by ownership.
- Provide expertise on questions of corporate authority to engage in various transactions.
- Collaborate with contracts, finance, procurement, engineering, and program teams to ensure alignment with legal and regulatory obligations.
- Lead or assist with prime contract and subcontract negotiations, pre-award support, and post-award counseling.
- Represent CoAspire on internal and external USG legal issues, including intellectual property, data rights, and export controls.
Qualifications:
- 0-8 years of relevant experience in government contracts law, ideally including experience in the defense or aerospace sector.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Requires the ability to obtain/maintain a Secret or higher security clearance.
- Strong working knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and other federal procurement regulations.
- Experience with government contract disputes, claims, and bid protests.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
Desired Skills:
- Active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- Prior in-house counsel experience in the defense or government services industry.
- Experience working with classified or export-controlled programs (ITAR, EAR).
- Familiarity with cybersecurity requirements in government contracting (e.g., CMMC, NIST SP 800-171).
- Background in supporting international government contracts and FMS/Direct Commercial Sales.
- Experience advising on information security statutes, regulations, and compliance frameworks, including FISMA and DFARS.
- Aerospace defense industry experience, particularly in manufacturing or production programs.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the project’s Three‑Phase Quality Control System (Preparatory, Initial, Follow‑Up) in accordance with USACE and federal contracting standards.
- Review contract documents, drawings, and specifications; ensure all quality requirements are understood and implemented.
- Conduct daily site inspections and document findings in required QC reporting software.
- Maintain QC documentation, including testing logs, submittals, daily reports, and deficiency tracking.
- Coordinate and schedule all required inspections, testing, and third‑party quality activities.
- Work closely with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and government representatives to resolve quality issues.
- Verify that materials, workmanship, and installations meet contractual and regulatory requirements.
- Lead Quality Control meetings and ensure all stakeholders understand project quality expectations.
- Monitor corrective actions and ensure timely resolution of deficiencies.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with federal safety and environmental regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA).
- Support project closeout documentation, including as‑builts, punch lists, and warranty information.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field or equivalent construction QC experience.
- Minimum 10+ years of quality control experience on vertical or horizontal construction projects.
- Experience working with federal government construction contracts, including USACE, NAVFAC, GSA, or VA projects.
- Strong knowledge of federal construction standards, specifications, and QA/QC processes.
- Proficiency with QC documentation and government software systems (RMS/QCS).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Ability to work onsite and coordinate with multiple subcontractors and government inspectors.
Preferred Certifications
- USACE Construction Quality Management (CQM-C) certification
- OSHA 30 certification.
- Professional certifications such as CQE, CQA, or PMP are a plus.
