Unit Description: Emergency Department RNs provide professional nursing care to patients in varying state of health and illness by assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the nursing plan of care. We are a 45 bed, Level I Trauma Center that offers the highest quality of care to our patients across all of Vermont and Northern New York. This position is part of a multidisciplinary team comprised of Physicians, Fellows/Residents, RNs, MHTs and ED Techs. RNs are trained to cover the Charge RN role and to precept.
On-call: Not required

Unit Description: As a Cardiology Nurse in our 32-bed progressive-care CCU, you will be responsible for treating a diverse patient population with a variety of heart-related conditions. We are a Level I Tertiary care hospital, providing care with state-of-the-art technology. You will be part of a collaborative, interdisciplinary team dedicated to patient & family-centered care. Our Cardiology RNs provide care for patients with structural heart problems, coronary stents, arrhythmia, congestive heart failure, pulmonary hypertension, ST-Elevation MI’s and non-ST-Elevation MI’s.

Department Description: The Community Hospice team delivers care to patients in the community, providing a wide range of skilled nursing care and support. We are an interdisciplinary team all collaborating together to support patients to remain in the setting of their choice, their home. The RN will provide a full range of skilled nursing care to patients in a home care setting with a focus on patient education and palliative care to meet the physical and emotional needs of patients, while educating and providing support to families.
Schedule is every Fri/Sat/Sun/Mon from 8am to 6pm
Minimum Requirements
- Associate's degree in nursing or higher.
- Minimum of three years of experience as a Community Hospice Nurse or minimum of four years of experience in home health nursing.
- Certification in hospice and palliative care preferred.

Our primary population includes patients who require cardiothoracic surgery (post-CABG, valve replacement, pulmonary surgery), vascular surgery (lower limb bypass, carotid endarterectomy, amputation), and urology (prostatectomy, bladder tumor resection, continuous bladder irrigation). Unit Description: Shep 3 North currently has around 10 long-term care patients that are awaiting placement. Patients on this unit will have a variety of different diagnoses. The environment of the unit is consistent with that of a long-term care facility. Candidates must have strong communication and leadership skills. Charge nurse experience preferred. Long term care experience preferred.
