Our client, a fast-paced leader in product development, is seeking a Manufacturing/Process Engineer to join their very busy team. The Manufacturing/Process Engineer will support the transition of products from engineering to manufacturing and will be responsible for bringing new products from Design Verification build to Pilot Production. Additionally, the Manufacturing/Process Engineer will support the design, installation, and operation of production processes, including sheet metal fabrication, foaming of refrigeration enclosures, heat pipe assembly, electro-mechanical assembly, and performance testing. They will also collaborate with engineers in Design for Manufacturability to transition new products from Design Verification builds into Manufacturing Validation builds and Mass Production, as well as work in a multidisciplinary production and development team.


To be successful in this role, candidates will utilize SolidWorks to produce deliverables, including production assembly procedures, and will also provide technical training to the production staff for all new product introductions to enhance product quality and maximize production efficiency. In this very important role, candidates must be experienced engineers who can work independently and communicate clearly with managers, co-workers, and clients. Candidates with an Engineering degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering, and at least 10 years of manufacturing engineering experience, will be considered. The L3Harris AgileEO Systems Engineering department is seeking a systems engineer to join our team and support one of our newer programs. AgileEO specializes in space-based, small aperture visible and IR telescopes with integrated electromechanical devices used for motion and focus control. The successful candidate will support the program technical leads (Lead or Chief Systems Engineer, IPT Lead) by performing technical analysis, managing specifications, and generating design review and technical documents. Additional responsibilities include supporting the test and design verification, requirements sell off, end item data package (EIDP) generation efforts.

Essential Functions:

  • Coordinate with program leadership to develop a technical plan and path forward for program execution.

Qualifications:

  • Experience as a Control Account Manager (CAM) and Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL) is required
  • 6+ years experience in electro-optics, including experience with optical design, sensors, detectors, and imaging systems
  • 6+ years experience working with engineering and simulation software tools, such as MATLAB
  • Candidate must be eligible to obtain a DOD Secret security clearance

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Holds an active Secret or Top Secret/SCI clearance

The Principal Mechanical Design Engineer (Data Center Infrastructure) is a technical leader responsible for the architecture, integration, and validation of advanced mechanical systems supporting hyperscale data center environments. Lead the end-to-end mechanical design and engineering of hyperscale Data Center Infrastructure (DCI) systems, including liquid-cooled rack assemblies, CDUs, manifolds, enclosures, structural frames, and associated hydronic piping systems.
Serve as the technical authority for single-phase and two-phase liquid cooling architectures, including primary and secondary loop design, in-rack distribution, and system integration within hyperscale data center environments.
Define and validate operational performance requirements for liquid-cooled infrastructure, including pressure ratings, hydrostatic limits, temperature ranges, flow rates and uniformity, thermal expansion, durability, and serviceability.
Design, analyze, and validate machined components, welded fabrications, manifolds, and structural systems using advanced engineering principles, including stress analysis, finite element analysis (FEA), flow modeling, and structural load calculations to ensure mechanical integrity and code compliance.
Lead wetted material selection and compatibility analysis for liquid cooling systems, including corrosion mitigation strategies, surface treatments, cleanliness standards, and long-term durability considerations.
Develop and review CAD models and complete technical data packages using CREO, SolidWorks, or equivalent tools; ensure design accuracy, manufacturability, and system-level integration.
Author and approve technical specifications for piping systems, rack-level cooling infrastructure, and hydronic components, including installation guidelines, maintenance procedures, testing requirements, and compliance with applicable standards (ASME, ISO).
Establish and oversee validation protocols including hydrostatic pressure testing, leak detection and mitigation, flow resistance analysis, and corrosion verification to ensure regulatory compliance and operational reliability.

How will you make an impact?

We are looking for a Principal Thermal Rack Engineer within the Intelligent Infrastructure Segment to drive advanced cooling solutions for high-performance computing systems. This role involves incorporating thermal components such as direct liquid cooling (DLC) systems, coolant distribution units (CDUs), and manifolds into network and server racks (EIA 19” and ORv3). - Design and optimize thermal components using 3D CAD (Creo or SolidWorks) to support seamless hardware integration and testing.

- Partner with factory teams to ensure racks are built with proper airflow, hose routing, and thermal safeguards, while establishing best practices that improve build consistency across deployments.
- Collaborate with Architects/Compliance/Reliability and global vendors to align thermal architectures with total system design and international data center/thermal/mechanical standards (e.g., UL, OCP, ASHRAE, ISTA, ASTM, NEBS).
- Conduct thermal, mechanical, and reliability testing, analyzing airflow, coolant flow rates, pressure drops, and structural integrity to ensure compliance with the end-users’ specifications.
- Develop and maintain design documentation including BOMs, wetted materials compliance, test plans, and engineering change orders (ECOs).
- Manage relationships with mechanical/thermal component vendors to build out a robust partner ecosystem consisting of racks, CDUs, hoses, manifolds, QDs, and cold plates.
- Ensure mechanical designs support airflow management, thermal containment, and integration with cooling systems (e.g., in-row cooling, in-rack cooling, rear door heat exchangers).
- Conduct root cause analysis and corrective actions for mechanical and thermal failures or field issues.
- May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
