• System Safety is responsible for ensuring our products are safe for the customer to use in any environment needed.  System Safety is involved from the design phase through its full life cycle.  Our input in the design phase is critical to ensuring end user safety.

• This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Principal System Safety Engineer to join us on the Air and Space team in Tucson, AZ.

What You Will Do:
 

As a Principal System Safety Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

• Analysis of engineering hardware, mechanical and electrical drawings and schematics assessment for fault tolerance, latent hazards, and safety requirement compliance.

• Partner with system test and tactical operation and maintenance procedures to ensure the proper administrative system safety controls are in place.

• Support all integrated product teams and lines to properly eliminate hazards or provide effective controls.

• Collaborate with Program Management and government approval authorities from design, fabrication, integration and test, production to demilitarization and disposal phases

• Develop a System Safety Program and perform analyses primarily in accordance with Mil-Std-882

• Work with varying sized system safety programs and support multiple programs to include:

• Monitoring program technical execution, Interfacing with stakeholders (e.g. customers, program offices, subcontractors, vendors)

• Preparing Safety Assessment Reports and Safety Program Briefs for Customer Approval

• Briefing program safety at technical reviews and as part of the safety approval process

• Interpreting system requirements, customer specifications and military standards

• Preparing internal and customer reports describing various analyses relevant to the System Safety program

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically Requires a bachelor’s degree in science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of relevant Systems Engineering or Safety Engineering experience.  An advanced degree may account for additional years of experience as required for this position.

• Experience with System Safety Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software or Firmware Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent Safety Engineering. 

• Experience with DoD System Safety Programs e.g. MIL-STD-882

What You Will Do:

Effector RF Design Department is responsible for designing RF and Microwave hardware, including transmitters, receivers, and exciters.  This includes design and test activities that span preliminary design to integration.  Products we develop support radar and datalink applications on a variety of tactical missile programs.  Critical to this role is designing for challenging mechanical constraints and extreme environments.

Our Senior Principal Embedded Real-Time Software Developer/Integrator is a technical position that works in an Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment to architect, design, implement, test, debug, and deploy Software for Firmware (FPGA) and Hardware solutions that meet current and next generation autonomous avionics systems’ needs. UPMC Hillman Cancer Center is currently hiring for a regular Full-Time Staff/Sr. Medical Dosimetrist to join our team in the Central Region of the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center Network. The dosimetrist in this position will be based out of the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center at UPMC Shadyside in Pittsburgh, PA, and will provide planning services for the clinic.

- This role offers a hybrid work arrangement with on-site duties, work-from-home capability and will work a regular Full-Time schedule Monday through Friday.
- This position joins 6 other medical dosimetrists dedicated to this department and a larger team of 40+ dosimetrists across the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center Network.

- Accurately performs radiation dose calculations, both manual and computer generated, for treatment delivery including the effects of beam modifying devices, irregular fields, gaps for adjacent fields, and off-axis calculations.
- Participates in special treatment procedures including, but not limited to, total body irradiation (TBI), total skin electron irradiation (TSEI), intra-operative radiation therapy (IORT).

Understanding of enterprise security standards related to: Data transfer security, Certificate management, Encryption and key management.

Proficiency in shell scripting (bash/ksh) for operational automation.

Exposure to Python or PowerShell is a plus.

Familiarity with monitoring, alerting, and ticketing tools in enterprise environments.

Exposure to enterprise monitoring and alerting tools.

Familiarity with DevOps or CI/CD practices related to MFT platforms.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Experience in handling production incidents and root-cause analysis.

Ability to troubleshoot across application, OS, and network layers.

Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, configure, and maintain Axway SecureTransport workflows, routes, users, trading partners, keys/certificates, and security policies.

Implement integrations using SFTP, HTTPS, AS2/AS3, and PGP protocols.

Use REST APIs and automation frameworks for partner onboarding and operational efficiency.

Build enterprise-grade MFT/B2B solutions aligned with security, compliance, and data governance standards.

Provide L2/L3 production support for SecureTransport and related Axway components.

Monitor platform health, tune performance, and manage capacity.

Handle Incident, Problem, and Change Management (ITIL) processes.

Troubleshoot end-to-end file transfers: Client Load Balancer SecureTransport Backend systems Including network, DNS, firewall, TLS, and certificate-related issues.

Manage key and certificate lifecycles (CSR creation, renewal, rotation).

Enforce enterprise TLS, cipher, and encryption standards.

Configure and optimize Axway Sentinel for monitoring, dashboards, alerts, and SLA tracking.

Collaborate with application teams, partner onboarding teams,InfoSec, and network teams.

Participate in on-call rotations and scheduled maintenance windows.
