Responsibilities

We are seeking a Tax Senior to join the tax department of a publicly traded U.S. REIT. This role will support all aspects of income tax compliance and financial reporting, including REIT qualification, ASC 740 provision, and multi-state and international tax matters. The position will work closely with the Tax Director and SVP – Tax and will interact regularly with external advisors, auditors, and internal departments. Principal responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Compliance

  • Coordinate preparation and review of federal, state, and local income tax returns with external tax advisors.
  • Assist with compliance related to UPREIT structure, including partnership and corporate filings.
  • Assist with partnership tax matters, including maintenance of tax capital accounts and 704(b) books.
  • Assist with REIT qualification compliance, including:
  • Quarterly and annual income and asset testing

  • Shareholder reporting (including Forms 1099-DIV).

This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with AS9100, ISO9001, and customer quality requirements, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and supporting production and engineering teams to ensure product conformity and safety. The Quality Engineer will also be accountable for upholding ethical conduct and contributing directly to product reliability and mission success.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and apply AS9100 procedures and drive continuous improvement efforts.
  • Provide training as needed to support customer satisfaction, first-time quality, and on-time delivery.
  • Maintain and review internal Quality Planning to ensure consistency with customer and company standards.
  • Oversee and verify corrective action activities in support of continuous improvement.
  • Perform shop traveler reviews to validate job requirements and process accuracy.
  • Conduct internal audits and audit preparation to ensure compliance readiness.
  • Support manufacturing by reviewing configuration management, providing engineering support, and ensuring proper process control during product realization.
  • Review purchase orders to verify that customer quality requirements are properly incorporated.
  • Prepare and submit nonconformance data as required and investigate internal corrective actions.
  • Compile and submit customer data packages and quality-related documentation.
  • Interface with suppliers to resolve issues, perform source inspections when required, and ensure supplier quality compliance.
  • Establish and promote quality-at-the-source practices and process ownership methodologies.
  • Provide floor assembly support and collaborate with production teams to ensure quality at all stages.
  • Understand the impact of product failure on customer systems and ensure product safety and conformity.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field; equivalent work experience will be considered.
  • Several years of experience in Quality Control/Assurance within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience implementing and/or managing ISO quality systems; AS9100 experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO9001 and AS9100 standards, customer audits, and supplier audits.
  • Familiarity with customer specifications, processes, and quality requirements.
  • Proficiency with FAIR (First Article Inspection Report) reporting, documentation, and validation to AS9102 standards.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to interact effectively across all levels of staff and management.
  • Ability to conduct formal training on changes and customer requirements.
  • Knowledge of QMS reporting, record keeping, and documentation practices.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with internal customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.

Job Summary

We are growing exponentially so we need to build products that scale. This Operations Manager will pave the way for our PMs and Engineers by partnering with operators to measure performance, identify high ROI problems, prototype with low-code and GenAI solutions, and implement systems that pull the solution and operations towards the goal.

The ideal candidate is a structured problem solver with an eye for detail, a track record of rolling up their sleeves to experience the problem, and excellent communication skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Define KPIs and build dashboards to measure performance and support proactive decision-making.

• Identify, structure, and prioritize problems that affect our KPIs. Use frameworks and data to brainstorm options. Facilitate tradeoff conversations with leadership to align on a recommendation.

• Create project plans, generate cross-functional buy-in, and project manage a team to meet deliverables.

• Build low-code solutions and otherwise prototype products. Use these prototypes to clarify product requirements for PMs and engineers.

• Implement processes and systems to reduce chaos and pull operations towards KPIs.

• Be a thought partner to our operations, product, and engineering leaders.

Qualifications

Education/Experience

• Bachelor's degree, ideally in a quantitative field like engineering, science, or mathematics.

• 5+ years of experience in a role that requires highly structured problem solving like engineering, consulting, finance, and supply chain management.

• Experience operating, building, or otherwise getting your hands dirty to solve the problem.

Skills

• Strong analytical problem solving and structured thinking. Able to translate ambiguity into repeatable and scalable systems.

• Thorough and detail oriented.

• Action-oriented and not afraid of solving a problem you've never seen before. A self-starter and go-getter.

• Comfortable building models in Excel or writing scripts in Python. Bonus points if you've built solutions with GenAI tools.

• Excellent communication skills and an ability to tailor your message to the audience.
