Essential Job Functions: Conducts, monitors, directs, and coordinates research, design, engineer development, and engineering activities for PdM VPS, which are applied across vehicle system lines for fielded components, subsystems, and total systems.

Responsibilities
- Interact with customer, exhibit account management skills to independently facilitate preventative maintenance, repair issue resolution, and discuss new repair estimates with customer. - Drive Axles: Inspect housings for leaks; Change oil and filter, if required, and clean breathers
- Driveline: Lubricate drive line; Inspect components for wear or damage
- Gas Engines-All Engines: Check and adjust oil levels; Identify unusual noises, and oil leaks
- Fuel Systems: Replace and prime fuel filter; Check gas and diesel fuel system components such as fuel lines, pickup tubes, return lines, etc... for proper integrity and condition
- Preventive Maintenance: Proper lube techniques; Minimal tire inspection; Brake check/applied stroke; Battery check; Under vehicle check/loose components; Initial Fault code identification; All PMs (PM298) including C supplements to exclude overheads, engine brake overhauls, DPF servicing, clean doser injector, servicing ArvinMeritor unitized hubs, inspect Lece Neville alternator brushes, inspect modulator system for proper operation, inspect/adjust shift selector cable, pop test Isuzu injectors
- Steering and Non-driven Axles and Alignment: Lubricate grease fittings, check and adjust fluid levels; Check and adjust toe; Check all steering components for wear; Check and adjust trailer axle alignment; Adjust wheel bearings including replacement of wheel seal
- Suspension-Chassis and Cab: Identify makes and models; Identify normal operation; Identify and repair minor air leaks; Identify malfunctions of basic nature, broken springs, excessive wear on bushings, etc.
- Tire and Wheel Maintenance: Perform air pressure checks; Check tread depth; Identify tires that need to be changed or repaired; Perform tire P.M. checks; Replace tire and wheel assemblies; Mount/dismount and rotate tires; Perform tire/wheel checks/repairs per (TW298)
- Vehicle Coupling System (PM): Lubricate fifth wheel plate and slider mechanism; Operate slider mechanism
- Utilize key functions of Shop Management System and electronic documentation available. - Perform work in accordance with all federal/ provincial and corporate compliance guidelines (i.e. safety, DOT). Use internal and external maintenance documents
- Ensure proper maintenance of all service, safety and environmental records required to meet and/or exceed corporate, federal, state, and local government mandated requirements
- Accountable for key maintenance measurements established by company policy, related to the inspection and performance of PMs, brakes, tires, wheels, including any maintenance items directly associated with the safety of the customer

The Mechanical Designer position plans and designs the automotive assembly line equipment for “General Assembly Tooling”.
Essential Functions
- Designs custom fixtures and complex tooling systems for general assembly
- Designs 2D and 3D models using NX
- Develop Bill of Materials (BOMs) for manufacturing processes
- Performs engineering assignments with clear and specified objectives and involves conventional types of plans and specifications
- Designing and implementing cost-effective equipment modifications
- Making sure a product can be made reliably and will perform consistently in specified operating environments
- Managing projects using engineering principles and techniques
- Planning and designing new production processes
- Producing details of specifications and outline designs
- Using research, analytical, conceptual, and planning skills, particularly mathematical modeling and computer-aided design
- Consider the implications of issues such as cost, safety and time constraints in your design.
- Support all quality systems requirements
Minimum Education Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent
Minimum Experience Required
5-8 years of General Assembly Tooling design experience
Other Requirements
- Skilled in Unigraphics NX. (Experience in ACAD 2D, ACAD 3D and inventor beneficial)
- Experienced in GM General Assembly Tooling specifications and Data Banking requirements preferred
- Experience must include background in detailing and layout design before release to the shop floor
- Willing to work in office and interface with shop floor as required
- Ability to perform assigned duties under frequent time pressures in an interruptive environment
- Knowledge of machines and tools
- Experience with customer interaction
- Good verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to conceptualize new designs then follow through to completion, specify fabrication materials, specify machining requirements and welding requirements

Client & Team Relations Serve as the primary liaison for day-to-day communications with clients, architects, engineers, and consultants.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors.

Develop, distribute, and maintain all project documentation including contracts, correspondence, submittals, RFIs, meeting minutes, and logs.

Manage LEED documentation and commissioning processes when required.
Lead the implementation and monitoring of project closeout procedures.
Planning, Scheduling & Construction Execution Assist estimating in the development of scopes of work and contract packages.
Develop and monitor project baseline schedules and phasing plans; update and publish monthly or as needed.
Review subcontractor schedules and recovery plans to maintain overall project milestones.
Develop work plans, logistics strategies, and construction planning documents.
Oversee coordination between field and office operations to ensure timely project execution.
Financial Management Manage all financial aspects of the project to meet or exceed planned profit margins.
Monitor and maintain cost control records, interfacing with accounting and senior management for margin analysis.
Coordinate with Superintendents to forecast and manage project general conditions.
Prepare, track, and report on contract changes, field orders, and client directives.
Estimate and negotiate change orders with clients and subcontractors, ensuring approval prior to proceeding.
Integrate with accounting for monthly invoicing, financial reporting, and cost analysis.
Ensure certified payroll and labor compliance per contract requirements.
Quality, Safety & Compliance Establish and oversee project-specific Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) and Safety Programs in partnership with the Superintendent and Safety Manager.
Ensure compliance with company policies, client requirements, and regulatory standards.
Identify and resolve issues, disputes, or potential risks in a timely and professional manner.
Skills & Knowledge Proven experience managing renewable energy projects, including utility-scale solar or energy infrastructure.
Strong understanding of construction management theory, techniques, and best practices.
Skilled in scheduling, project controls, and logistics planning.
Thorough understanding of project financials, budgeting, and cost tracking.
Proficient in reading and interpreting drawings, specifications, and contracts.
Knowledge of safety regulations, labor agreements, and trade jurisdictions.
Familiarity with LEED, commissioning, and sustainable construction practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint, Outlook), Procore, and other industry software (e.g., E-Builder, Contract Manager, Covisint).
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to lead, motivate, and manage teams.
Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
Experience: Minimum of ten (10) years of relevant construction experience, including successful management of large-scale commercial or renewable energy projects.
Certifications: CPR, First Aid, and OSHA 30 preferred.

Working Environment & Physical Requirements Hybrid role with work split between office settings, client meetings, and active construction sites.
Exposure to outdoor weather conditions, uneven surfaces, and typical construction site environments.

Regular travel to project sites and partner offices may be required.
