Job Summary Geisinger is proud to offer a full time Clinical Team Coordinator up to $24,000 hiring incentive for eligible candidates! Job Duties Coordinates and supervises the delivery of nursing care and activities on assigned unit.
Assists in developing, initiating, and supporting improvements, on the unit level, that facilitate the delivery of high quality, safe and cost-effective patient care.
Responsible for ensuring that the highest level of care is provided, optimizing all customer interactions, to maximize patient satisfaction.
Provides direct patient care along with providing direct supervision to assigned personnel, assists with orientation and integration of new employees.
Conducts performance appraisals, monitors absenteeism, orders supplies, scheduling 24 hour staffing, patient and bed triage where appropriate.
Assists with addressing performance problems initiating the disciplinary process as appropriate.
Communicates pertinent information regarding patient care activities and operations to appropriate personnel.
Participates in the formulation of nursing policies and goals as well as policies affecting other departments.
Communicates and interprets policies, procedures and regulations to patients, visitors and staff members, as required.

We take patients needing conscious sedation for bedside cardioversions/Chest Tube insertion, Bi-pap, Hi-flow and Ultra-filtration for Heart Failure patients.
Multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
This includes, but not limited to, nursing, physicians, respiratory, physical/occupational therapy, and care management all working as a team to provide the best patient care.

Job Description Assesses plans, organizes, performs, and evaluates nursing activities to meet the needs of the patient.
Promotes adaptive responses of patient and family to achieve the highest level of patient care, promote safety, and maximize patient satisfaction.

Participates in unit-based decision-making regarding the utilization of evidence- based practice.

Job Summary
An orthopedic surgeon is trained in the preservation, investigation and restoration of the form and function of the extremities, spine and associated structures by medical, surgical and physical means. An orthopedic surgeon is involved with the care of patients whose musculoskeletal problems include congenital deformities, trauma, infections, tumors, metabolic disturbances of the musculoskeletal system, deformities, injuries and degenerative diseases of the spine, hands, feet, knees, hips, shoulders and elbows in children and adults. Geisinger's Heart & Vascular Institute is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the growing Electrophysiology department at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania.Job Duties
Geisinger Heart Institute spans a 45-county service area and has over 100 physicians and more than 75 advanced practitioners. This team provides care in 5 acute care tertiary/ quaternary hospitals, 4 community hospitals, and numerous outreach locations, and together performs over 10,000 cardiac procedures annually.
Geisinger Heart Institute features multiple accredited chest pain centers, a nationally recognized regional STEMI PCI network, complex arrhythmia ablation, a full range of coronary, vascular and structural heart interventions and an advanced heart failure program.
The ideal candidate will:
- Day10-hour shifts are optional
- Collaborate with the physicians to assess, diagnose, and treat adult cardiac patients referred to the cardiology service
- Demonstrates autonomy through patient evaluations, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up care
- Manages and assists in the smooth, efficient operations of the inpatient cardiology patient, outpatient cardiology clinic, cardiac labs and outreach cardiology clinics
- Orders testing as deemed necessary and remains proficient in interpreting results and prescribing appropriate medication regimen within the scope of practice of the nurse practitioner
The successful Nurse Practitioner candidate will work in collaboration with the physician and have a certificate of completion from an approved program for Nurse Practitioners or be eligible to hold national certification that allows the NP to work with the patient populations and location settings associated with this position. Must be eligible for licensure as a nurse practitioner in the state of PA.
