December Start | 9–12 Shifts/Month Available | Level III Trauma Center
Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking experienced Emergency Medicine Advanced Practice Providers (NPs/PAs) for a high-acuity community hospital in Beckley, WV. This is a short-term, 2–6 month assignment beginning December 31, 2025, with guaranteed monthly shifts and multiple schedule options.
If you’re an APP with proven EM experience and comfort in a busy, trauma-designated ED — this is an ideal opportunity to step into consistent coverage with full medical staff support.
Assignment Snapshot
- Location: Beckley, West Virginia

- Contract Length: 2–6 months
- Schedule Availability: 9–12 shifts per month
- Shifts Available:
- Monday–Friday: 9a–9p
- Monday–Friday: 11a–11p
- Saturday–Sunday: 3p–3a
- Saturday–Sunday: 9a–9p
- EMR: Medhost
- Privileging: Temporary privileges available (~30 days)

- Annual Volume: ~32,000
- Hospital Beds: 300
- ED Beds: 24
- Patients per Hour: ~2
- Trauma Designation: Level III
- Staffing Model: 24 MDs / 36 APCs
- Code Response: Hospital Medicine Team
This is a modern ED with strong medical staff alignment, and rapid access to specialty support — creating a safe and well-structured environment for APPs practicing independently.
Clinical Requirements
- Certification: NCCPA or NCCNP (required)
- Certifications: ACLS & PALS
- Experience: 1–3 years Emergency Medicine experience
- Licensure: Active & unrestricted West Virginia license
- Must be comfortable managing acute presentations and collaborating with the ED and HM teams
