The Mount Sinai Hospital-Elmhurst Residency in Emergency Medicine is excited to announce that we are recruiting for an Assistant or Associate Program Director to join our strong, close-knit leadership team of the PD and 6 APDs. We lead a 4-year program with 20 residents per class. Our program offers a well-balanced mix of high-acuity clinical sites and strong career development.

The ED patient population draws from the upper east side of Manhattan, Harlem and Spanish Harlem. The emergency department is, as of this writing, days away from completing a 5-year, $80 million renovation. We have already opened a new separate 28-bed observation unit and Pediatric Emergency Department. The latter is housed within the Department of Emergency Medicine. We are fortunate that Dr. Brendan Carr, an emergency physician and our immediate past Chair, leads the entire Mount Sinai Health System.

Elmhurst Hospital Center is a large, public level 1 trauma center in Jackson Heights, Queens that is fully staffed by Sinai faculty (100K+ visits/year). The Sinai-Elmhurst partnership has existed since the 1960's and is central to the residency identity. EHC’s unique patient population represents its location in one of the most diverse neighborhoods in the country, with immigrants from around the world.

Job Summary:

The Heavy Equipment Mechanic is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the mobile equipment fleet within the specified territory to ensure alignment with the Company’s vision and objectives. This individual will manage our maintenance and repair facility while always keeping safety at the forefront of everything we do. This is a union position affiliated with Local 158.

Essential Functions:

1. Focused.. Support the company’s mission, vision, values, and operational goals by prioritizing safety, integrity, dedication, and efficiency in all activities.
2. Safety always wins. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized shop and work environment, ensuring the safety of employees, visitors, and contractors through strong housekeeping practices and adherence to safety standards.
3. Dedication. Ensure full compliance with FMCSA fleet maintenance regulations and company standards by maintaining accurate service records, managing the upkeep of the service truck, and following 5S practices.
4. Communicate. Coordinate with Plant Managers and operations teams to prioritize equipment repairs and maintenance needs to support production and operational continuity.
5. Ownership and caring. Manage the procurement of parts, vendor services, and repair resources, including communicating with vendors and dispatching manufacturer service providers (e.g., Milton CAT, Anderson Komatsu) when required under service agreements.
6. Determined. Maintain appropriate inventory levels of wear parts, lubricants, and maintenance supplies necessary to support equipment and vehicle reliability across assigned sites.
7. Protect family and friends. Plan, schedule, and perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on company vehicles, trailers, and heavy equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
8. Obligated. Utilize diagnostic software and tools (e.g., CAT ET, Cummins Insite, Komtrax, VisionLink) to troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.

Valley Health System, in affiliative with the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, is actively recruiting a Pediatric Gastroenterologist to join the team as Medical Director of the Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition Program.

The Director of Pediatric Gastroenterology is the lead provider in an active and growing practice which provides consultation and other professional services as part of the Valley-Mount Sinai Children’s Health program to patients up to the age of 21. The Medical Director will help in expanding an already strong regional referral network and outpatient support structure in collaboration with stakeholders at the Valley Hospital (VH), the Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology at Mount Sinai Kravis Children’s Hospital and community practices. The Medical Director will provide clinical expertise in the areas of nutrition, disorders of intestinal function, intestinal inflammatory disorders and endoscopy while furthering program development. In addition, this clinician provides consultation and education for Valley Hospital outlets and staff, supports the Kireker Center for Children’s Development (KCCD) clinicians, Valley Hospital pathology and laboratory services, and other interested community groups.
The doctor will spend 80% of their time in clinical activities and 20% of their time managing the Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition at Valley Mount Sinai Children’s Health.

  Qualifications

  • An MD or DO

  • Board certified in Pediatric Gastroenterology

  • Advanced training in Pediatric GI Motility, Esophageal and anorectal manometry interpretation with training certification preferred

  • Existing or Eligibility for New Jersey Medical License, DEA and CDS required

  • Leadership experience preferred

Transportation Pricing & Operations Manager:

The Transportation Pricing Manager is responsible for developing competitive pricing strategies across multiple transportation modes and delivering accurate quotations and cost analyses. The role drives company profitability through pricing optimization, cost control, and data‑driven decision support.


1. Transportation Pricing & Cost Management

  • Develop and manage competitive pricing strategies for Air, TL, LTL, PTL, Ocean, and Rail transportation.
  • Negotiate contract rates with carriers, airlines, co‑loaders, and logistics partners.
  • Prepare accurate rate quotations, RFQs, and cost analyses for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor key cost KPIs such as cost per shipment, cost per cubic foot, productivity, and labor‑related transportation expenses.
  • Identify cost‑saving opportunities through financial impact analysis and time studies.
  • Maintain and update pricing databases, rate sheets, and reporting dashboards.

2. Market & Financial Analysis

  • Analyze market rate trends, transportation industry patterns, and competitive benchmarks.
  • Provide financial insights that support pricing decisions and strategic planning.

3. Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Sales, Operations, Procurement, and Planning to optimize pricing and improve service levels.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Associate degree preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience in transportation pricing, freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain operations.
  • Strong understanding of domestic and international transportation pricing structures.

Technical Skills

  • Advanced MS Excel skills (data analysis, forecasting, reporting).
  • Experience with TMS, WMS, ERP, and visibility platforms.
  • Experience with Tableau or BI tools preferred.
