The Test Equipment Engineering (TEE) Directorate is a multi-discipline organization responsible for developing test solutions for all Raytheon Missile Defense products. We are hands-on, designing with the latest technology and tools, and integrate state of the art test solutions with the most advanced engineering systems in the world. TEE products are located in engineering labs, in the field, and in production environments utilized for weapon system product verification, qualification, test data analysis, and production test solution development. TEE is looking for Mechanical Engineers to be responsible for designing, developing, documenting, and maintaining complex test environment systems for all Raytheon effector products.

What You Will Do

  • Research, plan, design and develop mechanical test systems in areas including, but not limited to, vibration, thermal, hydraulic, radio frequency, and electro-optical for production testing environments

  • Integrate and validate test systems against stringent accuracy and reliability requirements

  • Evaluate production installations and recommend design modifications to eliminate malfunctions

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum two (2) years of work experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field

  • Two (2) years of technical / engineering experience in mechanical design and/or production support

  • Two (2) years’ experience with CAD solid modeling tools and analysis tools with an emphasis on ProE / CREO Parametric

  • Experience with geometric dimensioning and tolerance analysis

  • Experience creating mechanical drawing packages

What You Will Do:

  • Contribute to the development and detailed design of sensor or radome hardware and requirements.

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary engineering teams, including thermal, structural, mechanical, and systems engineering.

  • Create and review documentation for sensor system testing, including analyses, schematics, interface drawings, test plans, and specifications.

  • Work closely with sensor manufacturing suppliers.

Qualifications You Must Have:

As a Principal Test Systems Engineer, you are accountable to coordinate across all engineering teams to define, design, and document Test Environment capabilities and requirements.  You must be a systems thinker, able to see the “big picture”, and have the in-depth knowledge of development, production, User Operations, and embedded test process and practices.  As a Test Systems Engineer, you will define and influence how prime hardware will be tested at every level (from component to All-Up-Round) to ensure robustness and efficiency. The Test Equipment Directorate is a multi-discipline organization responsible for developing test solutions for all Raytheon products. Our engineers are responsible for all elements of the development lifecycle for test.  We are hands-on, designing with the latest technology and tools, and integrate state of the art test solutions with the most advanced engineering systems in the world.  Typical work involves designing interface assemblies, selection and integration with test instruments and environments, to develop a test system for all Raytheon products.  These core activities may be performed for both lab engineering and factory production test systems.  The candidate will contribute to the completion of all stages of test product development and will be responsible for helping to maintain the technical, cost and schedule aspects of their assigned projects. What You Will Do:
•    Design, development, and integrate Raytheon test products within Test Equipment in multidiscipline engineering teams
•    Develop both engineering and production test systems, test interface adapters, cabling, technical drawing creation, schematic creation, circuit design and analysis
•    Contribute to the completion of all stages of test product development, and responsible for performing technical, cost and schedule management of assigned projects
•    Act, either as a part of the team or independently, to uncover and resolve issues associated with the development and implementation of test products 


Qualifications You Must Have:
•    Typically requires Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of two (2) years of prior relevant experience OR an Advanced degree
•    The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
•    Experience with electrical engineering to include troubleshooting, analysis, and test
•    Experience with commonly used electrical engineering design and analysis tools including but not limited to: Altium, DX Designer, Mentor Capital, Creo Schematic
