Chief Estimator

POSITION KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build and maintain relationships with GCs, subcontractors, and vendors while coordinating scope alignment and risk evaluation.
• Review plans, specs, and reports; perform digital takeoffs and quantity surveys to prepare accurate estimates, bids, and proposals.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client discussions; collaborate with PMs and Division Managers for smooth project handoff.
• Manage projects from start to finish and provide support to field operations as needed, while tracking cost data to improve estimating practices.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE NEEDED

• 10+ years of experience in general contracting, structural concrete estimating, or significant field background in concrete construction (GC or self-perform concrete strongly preferred)
• Hands-on field experience with crews, productivity rates, and how work gets built is highly valued
• Degree in Building Science, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Construction Management a plus (not required)
• Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specs, and geotechnical reports
• Proficient with digital takeoff/estimating tools (Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, Excel, etc.)
