Job Description:
The Sr Designer and Engineer is responsible for translating the intent and scope of sold projects to which they are assigned into three key components:
- Executable Designs
- Translate project intent into solutions that are highly functional and aligned with client goals
- Apply creativity within constraints to ensure designs meet standards while being practical
- Collaborate with sales and PMs to ensure designs reflect real project budgets and timelines
- Build with the end user in mind—simple control of serious capability

- Accurate Drawings
- Deliver drawings that are easy to follow for installers, trades, and technicians
- Minimize ambiguity with consistent STRAY standard labeling and formatting

- Drive efficiency in the field by keeping the installer in mind when drawing

Statement of Success:
Success in this role will be evident through consistent, high-quality outcomes across the entire Systems Integration team; from pre-sales engineering through final commissioning.. Clients will receive the solution they were promised—no matter the size or complexity of the project.
Marketing Statement
Under general supervision, manages construction management, architectural, and engineering vendors and consultants to assure Philadelphia Housing Authority (PHA) development project completion. Performs project management activities including project planning, cost management, time management, quality management, contract administration and safety management. Oversees multiple projects simultaneously and acts as primary coordinator of internal and external stakeholders; performs other related duties.
The salary range for this position is $85,157 - $106,447 annually. Placement at any specific point within the stated range is not guaranteed for any candidate. Final compensation will be determined based on the selected candidate's qualifications, experience, and skills, as well as internal equity and organizational considerations.
Qualifications
Possession of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Project Management, Finance or a related field; AND five (5) or more years real property development and construction management experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. Possession of a Master’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Project Management, Finance or a related field; AND seven (7) years’ experience in property development and construction management or a related field including two (2) years’ experience in public housing or another State or Federal agency is preferred.
Required Knowledge of:
Principles and practices of engineering, architecture and construction management; Federal and State regulations governing development and construction of public housing units; Principals and functions of budget management and resource allocation; Methods, procedures, and standards for maintaining construction management records; Principles and practices of management, organization and administration; General office practices and equipment; Standard computer software applications.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Senior Construction Manager provides direct supervision to 1–3 Construction Managers, Engineers and other employees within the Construction Division.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Work is performed in a combination of standard office and construction site environments; Ability to maneuver through small confined spaces; May be exposed to weather extremes.
Responsibilities
Oversees outside construction management firms and consultants to assure project completion, resource allocation, technical direction and ensuring compliance with quality control standards; Oversees inspection work at construction sites, and the work of project engineers and inspectors to ensure inspections are completed on time and required reporting is completed; Maintains project documents and files; ensures all required documents are contained in standard PHA files; Provides project accounting control; reviews and approves invoices, prepares funding requests, tracks purchase order expenditures and maintains Limited Partnership books; maintains schedule of values; Reviews and approves or rejects Task Order Modification requests from the construction manager based on the scope of work or changes requested to PHA. Supervises independent estimates and analyzes estimates versus construction manager requests; negotiates with construction manager for fair and reasonable cost of requested changes; Prepares internal and external reports as requested or required by HUD, PHA and other governmental agencies; Stays abreast of new trends and innovations in the field of construction management; Performs related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

The Digital Engineering Group promotes a holistic approach to design and construction model-based services and technologies. This BIM/VDC Manager is responsible for managing Digital Engineering, Virtual Design & Construction, and Plan + Control for Suffolk’s Mission Critical business and brings together BIM, reality capture, and field technology to transform the way we plan, build and deliver Mission Critical projects. Responsibilities
- Manage the successful delivery of Digital Engineering, Virtual Design & Construction, and Plan + Control on multiple large and complex projects simultaneously. Drive the coordination process hard, while understanding competing interests, creating a balanced outcome for all stakeholders.
- Responsible for executing BIM Execution Plans and Digital Engineering strategies on Suffolk projects, including external stakeholder adherence to these plans.
- Manage the delivery of and adherence to scopes of work, schedules, and budgets for Digital Engineering services for projects and pursuits.
- Develop 3D, 4D, 5D, 6D, & 7D models to support pursuits, preconstruction, construction, and handover phases.
- Develop 3D & 4D Site Safety & Logistics models; collecting data from projects sites and incorporating construction knowledge into plans.
- Laser Scanning & Registration - perform field-based capture of 3D spatial point cloud data using laser scanners for use in existing conditions BIM development and the construction QA/QC.
- Manage point cloud data, align scans to BIM models, and generate reports for quality assurance.
- Operate robotic total stations for layout, verification, and as-built documentation.
- Photogrammetry - perform field-based drone photography and 3D photogrammetry data capture. Requires successful passing of the FAA Part 107 UAS Operator Exam.
- Support the Construction Technology Pilot process at a project level.
- Ensure successful project team experiences with all approved 3rd party vendors at a project level.
- Collect, track, and report project data and KPIs; execute processes for continual improvement at a project level.
- Provide training and support of software and tools to project teams.
- Proactively develop and maintain relationships with new and existing project teams.
Qualifications
- 4-year degree in an accredited industry related curriculum.
- Minimum 5-10 years of VDC related design and/or construction experience with demonstrated progression of technical knowledge and responsibilities.
- Proven success leading VDC on multiple projects simultaneously, or one XL project. Experience with different building types preferred.
- Thorough understanding of general construction techniques and systems. Ability to identify coordination issues and drive teams towards solutions.
- Strong written and oral communication; skilled in teaching, training, and presentations.
- Capability in 3D parametric modeling software and model coordination software. Ability to produce quantity takeoff extraction, clash detection, 4D simulations integrating construction schedule, and rendering high images of models.
- Hands-on experience with laser scanning, photogrammetry and/or UAV operations.
- FAA Part 107 certification (preferred, but not required).

Qualifications

Job Description:
The Construction Manager (CM) is the project representative that have been delegated authority and responsibility of administering the field operations of the construction project. The CM will perform all aspects of field administration, including implementation of a safety plan and a quality control plan. The Construction Manager will be responsible for developing, evaluation of, and execution of construction plans for various projects as assigned. This will include significant outage planning and coordination with operating entities and contractors.
Job Responsibilities:
Function: The two primary functions of the Construction Manager is to perform evaluations of construction plans for safety, feasibility and efficiencies and to perform construction management for specific projects as assigned at the various Client locations.
Accountable for:
The Construction Manager will be responsible for the safety, cost and schedule performance of the construction efforts assigned. Deliverables: The deliverables required will vary based on the requirements unique to each assigned project, but will generally consist of:
1. Assist in the development of the progress schedule; generating, gathering, and confirming all information needed to create, monitor, and modify the progress schedule on a continuous basis. Monitor and report on actual vs. target performance requirements.
2. Perform constructability analyses on a regular basis and coordinate general direction of work.
3. Evaluate and provide input to vendor construction plans.
4. Manage receipt of material and equipment and ensure proper storage and accessibility.
5. Monitor manpower and physical progress of construction.
6. Monitor as required cost items related to the construction contracts ie. reimbursable costs to control spending. Review contractor progress payment requests. Review and provide final invoice approval.
7. Review, evaluate, resolve and report on contractor claims and disputes including maintaining change logs.
8. Coordinate and administer the construction quality assurance program.
9. Monitor and report on engineering and procurement function to ensure that deliverables are processed in time to meet construction commitments.
10. Prepare construction reports and maintain daily construction log. Maintain record drawing data, and prepares all regular and any special documentation as determined by project needs.
11. Conduct construction coordination meetings as required to progress the project in accordance with the schedule.
12. Coordinate storage and lay-down needs.
13. Assist in the obtainment of all necessary permits and licenses.
Job Requirements:
• Experience in coordinating and managing complex construction in an industrial setting - Direct steel industry construction experiences a plus.
• Knowledge and proficiency of Construction Industry Institute (CII) and Project Management Institute (PMI) concepts a plus.
• Knowledge of industry standards pertaining to industrial construction and safety planning.
• Experience with multi-discipline constructability and construction planning.
• Ability to use of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Oracle software.
• Ability to read and evaluate schedules. • Ability to evaluate estimates and related scope documents. • Knowledge of engineering, procurement and construction and other project-related activities, their interfaces and interdependencies. This includes a broad knowledge of industry design standards, safety planning, basic construction techniques, equipment specifications, project control techniques including critical path scheduling, resource loading, cost control including earned value, and construction turnover to commissioning process.
• Ability to multitask in a multi-faceted work environment with different types of responsibilities
• Ability to develop outage plans and coordinate with the operating facility to integrate outage construction work with other co-located activities.
• Familiarity with a variety of contract types (lump sum, cost reimbursable, guarantee max, T&M). • Need to be able to understand scope, drawings, and specifications for QA and change control.

Position Summary
The Quality Control Supervisor is responsible for leading the QC team and ensuring that all inspection and testing activities comply with ISO 9001 standards and company quality objectives. This role focuses on maintaining product quality, driving continuous improvement, and supporting internal and external audits. A key responsibility includes developing QC staff through training, implementing process improvements in the laboratory, and ensuring a strong safety culture. This role leads 6 technicians, a team lead, and an analytical chemist.
Work Schedule
- Full-time, on-site; Monday-Friday. supporting 1st Shift -- 7:30am to 4:30pm
What you will do:
- Supervise QC inspectors and technicians, including scheduling, coaching, and performance evaluations.
- Develop and deliver training programs on inspection techniques, measurement tools, ISO 9001 requirements, and laboratory safety protocols.
- Ensure all QC staff are trained in proper handling of equipment, chemical safety, and emergency procedures.
- Mentor team members to enhance technical skills and promote safe work practices.
- Oversee inspection and testing of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.
- Review and approve inspection reports, test results, and non-conformance documentation.
- Identify opportunities to improve laboratory workflows, reduce testing time, and enhance accuracy.
- Implement new inspection methods, tools, and technologies to optimize QC processes.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to integrate quality improvements into manufacturing processes.
- Enforce compliance with all safety regulations and company policies in the QC lab.
- Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.
- Support internal audits and assist with external certification audits.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) for identified issues.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, oQuality Management, or related field.
- 5+ years in a QC role within a manufacturing environment; at least 3 years in a supervisory capacity.
- Proficiency in inspection tools, measurement techniques, and quality software.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Annual or Hourly Compensation Range
The pay range for this position is $85,900.00 - $128,900.00. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.

Manufacturing Manager
Our Manufacturing Operations Manager directs, maintains, and oversees execution of assembly, manufacturing, and production activities for the manufacturing plant which includes safety, yield, productivity, labor, cost, production schedule, quality, continuous process improvements to meet established business goals. Plans and coordinates efficient and economical manufacturing activities through Production Supervisors and provides quality levels and service that exceed the customer’s expectations. Responsible for driving key initiatives to ensure cost reduction, inventory management, delivery performance, and key performance indicator (KPI) targets are met. This will be an onsite position at our North Wales, PA facility.
What will you be doing?
Oversee and manage plant manufacturing activities to ensure safety, quality, cost, and morale to meet and exceed customer and Company requirements.
- Develop and direct all activities within the Plant manufacturing operations and maintain a manufacturing system which best supports production activities.
- Develop and implement strategies to ensure that objectives for manufacturing are successfully achieved.
- Assure coordination and integration of workflow, timely production, conformance to budgets, and proper utilization of personnel, skills, machines, equipment and facilities.
- Support production control activities including maintaining the proper working inventory process and creating the production schedule as needed.
- Supervise and coordinate the various programs essential to manufacturing procedures such as training, safety, environmental, housekeeping, work simplification, cost reduction, quality improvement, etc.

- Support and/or coordinate major manufacturing projects such as expansion of facilities, acquisitions and installation of capital equipment, manufacturing layout changes, etc. to the best economic advantage.
- Support all equipment’s capital expense projects to improve manufacturing reliability and robustness.
- In conjunction with Engineering, research new equipment and recommend changes or replacement.
- Review and plan headcount monthly for labor cost control and PEFF (production efficiency).
- Recommend increase and/or decrease in labor to meet scheduling requirements in a cost-efficient manner to include making recommendations/decisions on overtime and use of temporary help.
- Ensure manufacturing area goals are met and kept on track.
- Review and track posted daily, weekly, and monthly goals (including KPI targets and results), spot potential problems, and lead in formulating and implementing short-term and long-term countermeasures and solutions.
- Oversee the monthly reporting documents that are finalized for the assigned manufacturing area(s), ensuring accuracy and completion. Report on monthly reports with targets.
- Lead management discussions and planning sessions to help formulate cost reduction, product improvement, and problem-solving activities, and present operational performance daily/weekly.
- Implement short- and long-term corrective actions for manufacturing problems. Perform shop floor audits to assess and improve process control and 5S condition.
- Lead manufacturing supervision in utilizing techniques to standardize processes/methods and to identify manufacturing problems and eliminate waste.
- Drive and achieve sustained continuous improvement activities and results using Lean, Six Sigma, and other tools.
- Through motivating techniques and delegation of authority to subordinate manufacturing staff, coordinate and guide activities in the areas of manufacturing, Lean, housekeeping/5S, quality enhancements, staffing, training, employee relations, and other related activities.
- Direct and supervise production supervisors in accordance with operational policies to meet budget and targets.
- Provide direction and motivation to Production Supervisors focusing on safety, quality, efficiency, productivity, cost reduction, safety and health, and morale.
- Personally interview and select, with assistance from the General Manager, personnel to fill departmental positions.
- Train and assist subordinates in the proper handling of responsibilities.
- Establish department programs which support cross training, acquisition of multiple skills, teamwork, and cooperation in group problem solving.
- Ensure further development of employees through performance evaluation, development of training plans, feedback, coaching, and cascade training. Update employee training matrix and schedule any training needed.
- Participate in monthly meetings with employees to communicate state of business.
- Develop and maintain positive team member relations centered on mutual trust, dignity, respect, fairness, consistency, two-way communication, teamwork, and harmony. In conjunction with Human Resources, participate in employee complaint/grievance meetings.
- Promote and support community and employee engagement initiatives.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Operations Management; Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering; Supply Chain; Business Administration; or related field.
- 7-10+years of manufacturing (i.e., assembly, cutting, machining, fabrication, welding, painting, etc.) experience.
- 5+years of progressively responsible manufacturing supervision/management experience.
- Practical experience applying Lean and Total Quality Production System (TQPS) principles in a manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of, and practical work experience with, manufacturing industry equipment, processes, and production systems.
- Working knowledge and experience with manufacturing and production KPIs/Analytics including the Production Efficiency (PEFF) system preferred.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems and integrated computer programs and/or applications.
- Ability to use a personal computer utilizing spreadsheet and word processing software applications, databases, and automated systems to accomplish work.
- Advanced skill level with Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint preferred.
- Lean Six Sigma certification and/or Project Management certification is a plus.
