The Associate General Counsel will play a key legal role supporting the growth of the Credit & Insurance business in the United States. This position will focus heavily on fundraising initiatives, fund formation, and regulatory oversight for both registered and unregistered investment vehicles. The role requires deep expertise in the Investment Company Act of 1940 and U.S. securities laws, along with hands-on experience supporting credit and alternative investment products.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience with Business Development Companies (BDCs) and/or other regulated investment companies preferred.

This position is a tremendous opportunity to advise premier private equity clients with the organization of some of the world’s largest deals and the most complex funds. This position provides the unique and special chance to develop practice area expertise with sophisticated private equity fund structures at one of the world's most respected law firms.
The role will require the ability to work some overtime (approximately 5-10 hours a week), and the firm operates in a hybrid structure (3 days onsite in NYC and 2 days remote).
Responsibilities:
- Manage substantive and detailed components of fund launches and closings, coordinating across attorneys, clients and investors

The Rockland County Department of Highways, Drainage Division, is seeking a Director of the Drainage Agency. The work is specialized diverse, and complex in nature.
This is administrative and managerial work of a complex nature that involves responsibility for developing and implementing policies and procedures to implement safe, efficient and modern stream maintenance and drainage programs. The work is performed under the general direction of the Superintendent of Highways and in accordance with Federal and New York State applicable laws and regulations and Rockland County objectives and policies. Supervision is exercised over professional and technical employees. Develops policies and procedures with respect to drainage programs and makes recommendations to the Superintendent of Highways regarding same. Arranges for the engineering, construction, improvement, repair and maintenance of County streams, water courses, drainage courses, and tributaries and ensures that services are in compliance with policies and regulations. Oversees the administration of drainage-related capital projects, including but not limited to monitoring funding, supervising contract bid processes, ensuring compliance with regulations and project requirement. Responds to emergencies (e.g. severe flooding) by inspecting and monitoring flooding and related conditions, acting as liaison with County officials and first responders to exchange information and resolve problems, preparing reports regarding flood damage and related conditions in order to obtain New York State and Federal funding. Completes applications and prepares documents to secure New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) permits, as needed, regarding dam safety, streams, aquatic habitats, wetland programs, etc. Acts as liaison to a variety of governmental agencies and units of government, as needed, including but not limited to the Army Corp of Engineers, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, towns and village, etc. Approves plans, specifications and estimates for construction, maintenance and repair of stream watercourses and tributaries. Directs the control of trees, brush and weeds within the bounds of County streams. Plans and directs a program to inform residents about the programs and functions of the Drainage Agency. Oversees the Drainage Agency's permit application process and ensures compliance with the Rockland County Stream Control Act as it applies to activities within areas under the jurisdiction of the Drainage Agency. Plans and directs a Stream Maintenance program, maintains records and makes reports. Acts for and in place of the Superintendent of Highways with respect to drainage matters, as needed. May provide legal opinions regarding Federal, New York State, and Rockland County laws that pertain to drainage matters. May inventory and purchase machinery, equipment and materials.
Thorough knowledge of New York State Department of Environmental Conservation requirements and regulations, thorough knowledge of general practices and regulations regarding stream maintenance and general construction procedures. Good knowledge of administrative procedures and techniques, especially as they pertain to a comprehensive modern stream maintenance and drainage programs, ability to plan, develop and implement general policies and procedures for a modern and efficient stream and drainage system, including stream maintenance and construction. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative relationships with others, including elected officials and Federal and New York representatives. Have the ability to understand and interpret laws and regulations that pertain to drainage-related matters. Ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing Also does related work as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, Environmental Engineering, or comparable curriculum or;
- A New York State license to practice law and
- Four (4) years of post-degree supervisory, administrative or management experience that substantially involved responsibility for drainage and/or environmental programs and projects (e.g., development of policies and procedures, supervision of staff, enforcement, providing legal opinions and/or litigating related matters, overseeing the implementation of programs and projects, etc.).

KYC Analyst

Position Summary:
The Firm is seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated KYC Analyst to join their Compliance team in New York. This role will focus on performing daily KYC due diligence procedures for both institutional and high net-worth individual clients trading across a comprehensive cryptocurrency book.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in performing KYC vetting procedures for various client risk levels as well as additional experience within client onboarding and regulatory compliance within institutional financial services, with crypto-related KYC experience considered a strong plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive KYC due diligence reviews for institutional and high-net-worth clients.
- Perform client onboarding, including identity verification, beneficial ownership analysis, and source of wealth/source of funds reviews.
- Assess and risk-rate clients in accordance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Review necessary documentation (e.g., formation documents, organizational charts, shareholder registers).
- Escalate high-risk clients and complex structures to Compliance leadership as appropriate.
- Perform ongoing monitoring and periodic reviews of existing client accounts.
- Collaborate with Trading, Operations, Legal, and Compliance teams to ensure timely onboarding and regulatory adherence.
- Maintain accurate documentation and audit-ready files in internal systems.
- Stay current on evolving AML/KYC regulations and crypto-specific compliance risks.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of KYC vetting and due diligence experience required, preferably within an institutional financial services, investment banking, and/or capital markets trading environment.
- Experience conducting KYC due diligence for cryptocurrency clients and digital asset accounts is strongly recommended.
- Solid understanding of AML regulations, OFAC sanctions screening, and risk-based onboarding frameworks.
- Experience reviewing complex ownership structures and institutional client documentation.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple onboarding cases simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree required; CAMS or similar certification a plus.

The Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated Life Actuary to join the Life Company’s Asset Liability Management Team. This role coordinates, prepares, and performs actuarial analyses required to develop new products, project future results, reprice existing products, and/or determine financial strength.
This role is remote eligible in the continental U.S. with occasional business travel. However, individuals residing within a 60-mile radius of a USAA office will be expected to work on-site four days per week. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
What you'll do:
Performs complex work assignments utilizing actuarial modeling software driven models for pricing, valuation, and/or risk management.
Reviews laws and regulations to ensure all processes are compliant; and provides recommendations for improvements and monitors industry communications regarding potential changes to existing laws and regulations.
Runs models, generates reports, and presents recommendations and detailed analysis of all model runs to Actuarial Leadership.
May make recommendations for model adjustments and improvements, when appropriate.

- Current CA state license is a plus.
