The Product Development organization within SharkNinja drives our global product roadmap from concept to shelf through the constant lens of the consumer. Responsibilities:

* Support the SharkNinja business onsite in our Needham, MA headquarters with the development of successful and profitable programs for key products to ensure continued growth of the product portfolio - you will assist in leading new product development (creation and management) of assigned product(s) from brainstorm phase through mass production, as well as partner with leadership to define the over-arching category direction to a team of product developers. You are responsible AND accountable for progressing, reporting on, and actioning your and your team's deliverables.

* Define, develop, and iterate product specifications, marrying consumer wants/needs, white space in the market, and product technologies as the primary consumer advocate.

* Take ownership of your assigned categories' sales performance - partnering with others in the company to identify what products are working/not working; and recommend new product opportunities to fill those gaps.

Overview


The Chief Roadmap and Innovation Officer will lead the vision, strategy, and execution of our global product and innovation roadmap — unifying near-term priorities with long-term disruptive thinking. This leader will anticipate market trends, and bring to life innovations that define the future of consumer experience and product technology.


In this role, you will oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle, while fostering a culture of innovation, efficiency, fast and agile excellence. Lead Agile Product Development:


· Maximize revenue and gross margin for each subcategory to deliver at least 20% growth YoY.


· Delivers at least one new product in a new category every year that results in at least $50M in revenue in Year 1.


· Ensures the Product Roadmap delivers viral product performance AND viral product aesthetic by driving ID and CMF excitement from mass production through EOL.

Operational Excellence:


· Lead the optimization of end-to-end product development processes, from concept ideation through commercialization.


· Continuously assess and refine product development workflows, methodologies, and tools to drive efficiency and reduce time-to-market.


· Implement robust project management practices to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of products.


· Oversee the integration of new technologies and best practices in product development to maintain competitive advantage.

Financial & Resource Management:


· Ensure that the most cost-effective way is sought to achieve the relevant primary functions whilst ensuring quality / reliability


· Manage the product development budget, ensuring cost efficiency and high ROI.


· Optimize the product development processes, supply chain, and resource allocation for maximum efficiency.


· Drive P&L ownership of the product portfolio, ensuring profitability and sustainable growth.


· Manage talent development, and hiring to ensure the team has the required skills and capacity to execute the product strategy.


 


Risk Management & Compliance:


· Identify and mitigate risks associated with the product development process, including supply chain disruptions, manufacturing delays, and regulatory challenges.

Performance Tracking & Reporting:

Qualifications / Requirements


The successful candidate will have proven manufacturing / quality leadership experience and the ability to deliver results in larger matrix organizations.


· 15+ years of experience in product development within the consumer products industry (e.g., CPG, electronics, home goods, beauty, apparel, etc.).


· Proven track record of leading product innovation and successful launches at a large-scale company or high-growth brand.


· Strong background in R&D, design thinking, and market-driven product strategies.


· Experience managing large teams and complex product portfolios.

Our Radar Digital Product Line (RDPL) is a cornerstone of these efforts, enabling advanced capabilities for mission-critical applications. We’re looking for a dynamic Product Owner to lead the charge in driving the next generation of digital radar technologies.

As a Product Owner for the RDPL, you will be a key leader in shaping and delivering complex, high-impact products that define the future of radar technology. You’ll act as the bridge between our engineering teams and our stakeholders, guiding the vision, ensuring alignment, and driving execution to bring innovative solutions to life. This role offers the opportunity to make a tangible impact across multiple teams while mentoring and inspiring the next generation of product leaders.

What You Will Do

  • Lead with Purpose: Own the delivery of RDPL features and capabilities, ensuring your team’s efforts align with program goals and customer expectations.

  • Strategize and Prioritize: Work with leadership to refine the product roadmap, balancing immediate needs with long-term vision. Manage and prioritize the team’s backlog, ensuring clarity on scope and alignment with business objectives.

  • Empower Teams:Foster a high-performing team culture by coaching team members, delegating tasks effectively, and supporting professional growth for junior staff.

  • Solve Complex Challenges:Partner with engineering teams to tackle technical and operational challenges, ensuring solutions are both innovative and practical.

  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Use data and feedback to identify opportunities for process enhancements and product innovation, keeping the RDPL ahead of the curve.

  • Be a Voice of Influence: Represent your team in cross-functional discussions, advocating for their needs while aligning with broader program priorities. Build consensus among stakeholders and maintain focus on shared goals.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.

  • Experience in product development and product management.

  • Experience with agile principles, frameworks, tools, and team performance optimization.

  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience with radar systems or similar technologies is a plus.

  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills, with the ability to inspire and guide teams toward success.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. We are seeking a motivated and skilled scrum master and individual contributor to join our RDPL DevSecOps Team, a critical part of our software development and delivery ecosystem. As a member of this dynamic team, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance our Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, ensure the security and stability of our development environments, and support the deployment of high-quality software solutions. 

The Department’s mission is to provide world class Radar Software to be used in military systems deployed at sea and on land. Our software teams employ an Agile Scrum process to rapidly design, code, integrate and test capabilities on a continuous basis into a mature solution for our customers.

This position is full-time on-site in Marlborough, Massachusetts.

What you will do

  • CI/CD Pipeline Development and Maintenance: Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to streamline software development and delivery processes. 

  • Scrum Master: Faciliate agile practices, remove obstacles, and foster collaboration within the team to ensure successful delivery of high-quality products and continuous improvement

  • DevSecOps Integration: Incorporate security best practices into the development lifecycle, ensuring compliance with industry standards and protecting against vulnerabilities. 

  • Infrastructure Management: Support, maintain, and upgrade the development environment infrastructure, including tools and frameworks.  Support emergent situations (including off-hours) swiftly and effectively.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with software developers, program subject matter experts (SMEs), and Digital Technology (DT) and Cybersecurity teams to deliver reliable and secure software solutions. 

  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues impacting development pipelines, ensuring minimal disruption to operations. 

  • Automation and Innovation: Drive efficiency by automating repetitive tasks and exploring innovative approaches to improve workflows. 

  • Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor pipeline performance and provide regular reporting on key metrics to ensure optimal functionality. 

  • Debug and Integrate: Tackle stability issues in common trunks, while integrating and testing real-time embedded and application software on Linux and Windows platforms.

  • Maintain & Modernize Development Environment: Work with tools like ClearCase, Perl, Jenkins, Smartbear Collaborator, Grafana, Coverity, Matlab and more, while supporting migration to cutting-edge container based development environment that includes Git, GitLab, Podman, VSCode, and Artifactory. 

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience.

  • Experience with scripting languages (Bash, Perl, Python, etc). 

  • Experience with Configuration Management (CM) tools (ClearCase, Git, GitLab, etc).

  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
