SUMMARY

The Purchasing Specialist supports and coordinates purchasing, acquisition, and demand planning activities for ingredients, packaging, co-manufacturing and bought in finished goods. The role manages both domestic and international suppliers and contributes to cost optimization, risk mitigation, and operational continuity. The ideal candidate brings solid procurement experience across Direct Materials, Indirect Materials, and Services, with strong analytical capabilities, a customer centric mindset, and a process improvement orientation.


CORE RESPONSIBILITIES & COMPETENCIES

  • Source to Contract (S2C): Prepare sourcing events (RFI/RFQ/RFP), validate requirements and specifications with stakeholders, apply TCO criteria, negotiate and recommend awards, support contract review/execution with Legal, and manage supplier onboarding.
  • Procure to Pay (P2P): Evaluate purchase requisitions, generate accurate POs, send POs to suppliers, confirm acknowledgments, track deliveries/ETAs and expedite, resolve GR/IR and invoice discrepancies with AP, and close orders.
  • Category Coverage: Manage end to end procurement for Direct Materials, Indirect Materials, and Services, aligning with demand, quality, and cost targets.
  • Planning & Inventory: Build demand plans integrating production schedules, supplier capacity, lead times, and on hand inventory; maintain Kanban/min max/safety stock to minimize obsolescence.
  • Inbound Logistics: Plan/manage inbound flows (including imports) to ensure on time availability at optimal cost.
  • Supplier Management (SRM): Qualify, evaluate, and monitor suppliers; participate, when necessary, in Business Reviews, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Risk Management: Identify supply risks (capacity, quality, geopolitical, single source); implement mitigation frameworks and dual sourcing when appropriate.
  • Negotiation & Contracts: Lead negotiations for pricing, commercial terms, service levels, and long-term agreements; support contract and performance management.
  • NPD & Changes: Support domestic/international new product development (NPD); coordinate material changes and ramp up/ramp down plans to protect service and cost.
  • Artwork & Packaging: Ensure timely release of approved artwork/graphic files to packaging suppliers and printers.
  • Cost & Working Capital: Drive cost reduction initiatives (should cost, value engineering, consolidation) and optimize inventory to improve cash and reduce write-offs.
  • Analytics & Automation: Build reports/dashboards with advanced Excel and Power BI; leverage SQL/Python/VBA to improve data quality and streamline processes.

The Director of Operations provides strategic and operational leadership across sales support, order management, customer service, forecasting, and cross-functional execution. This role ensures operational excellence, drives revenue performance, enhances customer satisfaction, and aligns operational strategy with company objectives.

The Director will lead a team of Technical Sales Engineers and Customer Service Representatives while partnering with Regional Sales Managers, Finance, and Manufacturing teams to optimize processes, profitability, and customer outcomes.


Key Responsibilities


Operational & Strategic Leadership

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team responsible for quoting, order entry, and technical sales support for new applications and spare parts.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive operational strategies aligned with revenue targets and growth initiatives.
  • Drive monthly sales forecasting and maintain a rolling 3-month outlook.
  • Track order fulfillment and billing to ensure revenue commitments are achieved.

Financial & Commercial Oversight

  • Manage pricing strategies, ensuring alignment with factory cost changes, inflation, labor, and foreign exchange impacts.
  • Standardize and oversee discount structures for Distributors, Master Distributors, and OEM/Integrators.
  • Partner with Finance to manage Accounts Receivable, credit accounts, and working capital performance.
  • Ensure operational execution supports revenue growth and margin protection.


Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate customer requirements with factories to meet delivery expectations.
  • Partner with internal sales and technical teams to leverage market intelligence and customer insights.
  • Contribute to product roadmap discussions by translating operational and customer feedback into actionable insights.
  • Support Regional Sales Managers in identifying new business opportunities and expanding customer accounts.

About the role

Key responsibilities

  • Lead formulation and concept development from end-to-end on internal and customer projects within North America for the Beverage market.
  • Use sound commercial and technical awareness of ingredients, processes, end use market and customer requirements to deliver on project objectives, across powder beverages and liquid beverage product formats.

The estimated base pay range for this job is:

$72,000.00 - $134,000.00

JOB SUMMARY

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Supports the Test Engineer in the development and commission of test solutions executing the test qualification of the fixture and program as per the specific system qualification process.
· Responsibility for providing the deliverables to support the solution in production to both the Test Support Function and Manufacturing Operations.
· Assists in the build and manufacture of testers, fixtures and environmental tooling as required to meet the customer expectations.
· The Technician Engineer provides the interface to the Test Support function providing comprehensive documentation and training for all test solutions implemented.
· Provides the interface to the Manufacturing function providing comprehensive documentation and coordinating training and education for all test operations implemented.
· Through working with the Test Support function monitor and contribute to the improvement of Test Yields, Efficiency, Intermittencies and Uptime providing accurate reporting and clear targets for improvement.
· In conjunction with the Test Engineer strives to consistently upgrade the test process balancing cost, coverage with the goal of providing an optimized and cost efficient test process.
· Works closely with manufacturing and test support to ensure prioritization of support activities. He/ She will be responsible for coordinating the timetable for test readiness based on the weekly production schedule through the appropriate Test Support staff.
· May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

· Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
· Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
· Ability to operate a personal computer including using a Windows based operating system and related software.
· Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil’s software packages.
· Ability to write simple correspondence. Read and understand visual aid.
· Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
· Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
· Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
· Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
· Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.
