Job Description:
The Senior Director of Human Resources and People is a pivotal leadership role at Ocean State Job Lot (“OSJL” or the“Company”), designed for a transformational leader who will architect the Company's future-state human resources and people strategy. More than a functional head, this leader will serve as a strategic thought partner to the Vice President, empowered to influence critical business decisions with data-driven evidence. The core mission is to design the "support center of the future" while leading the company through enterprise-wide change.
This position requires a unique ability to balance this visionary, long-term strategy with the operational excellence of core HR functions, including Total Rewards, Associate Relations, Compliance, and Development. The Senior Director will take full ownership of the talent and succession pipeline and unify a high-performing team under a single vision. Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and Drive the People Vision: In partnership with the VP of People and Operations, serve as a principal architect of the Company’s forward-thinking strategy. - Lead Organizational Transformation & Design: Critically evaluate the current Company and department structures to lead the transformation of the "support center of the future." - Unify and Develop a High-Performing Team: Guide a blended team of strategic and operational professionals, unifying them under a single, compelling vision. Focus the team on the most critical priorities through expert coaching, talent development, and mentorship.
- Serve as a Strategic Partner and Challenger: Act as a true thought partner to executive leadership. Use data-driven evidence and deep business knowledge to challenge ideas, advocate for optimal strategies, and influence critical decisions that benefit the long-term health of the Company.
- Ensure Foundational & Operational Excellence: Provide strategic oversight for all core functions, including Total Rewards, Associate and Labor Relations, Performance Management, Payroll, and Compliance. Drive modernization and efficiency in these areas to ensure foundational stability while the future state is being built.
- Lead Change Management & Adoption: Drive organizational transformation by developing and executing communication strategies that foster stakeholder buy-in. Champion the adoption of new processes, technologies, and strategies by ensuring the delivery of effective training, coaching, and support.
- Foster a Positive Associate Relations Climate: Drive a productive and engaging work environment by providing strategic guidance on complex associate matters. Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree or equivalent preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in Operations or Human Resources with a demonstrated track record of success.
- 5 or more years of experience as a senior executive or VP level in a retail or similar company is required.

About the role:
Based in the Providence, Rhode Island area, this role is responsible for increasing Thryv’s penetration to the existing client base, increasing client engagement with existing software clients, and growing the SaaS client base through new sales. This role calls on existing clients to nurture and grow relationships while identifying and pursuing new client opportunities to meet a predetermined sales quota. The Software Account Executive conducts greater than 50% of their work outside their home office (to visit local businesses).
- Identifies and secures new SaaS clients by leveraging self-generated prospecting (i.e. networks, referrals, etc.) and company-initiated prospecting programs (90%)
- Contacts assigned clients and presents opportunities for additional sales and/or extended usage based on client needs (10%).
- Executes all defined operational processes and requirements with excellence (i.e., designed cadences for client and prospect engagement, ongoing product and demo certifications, order entry requirements, centralized intake forms, etc.).
- Participates in sales meetings, call calibrations, and training as needed.

Basic Qualifications

Role Description:
The purpose of a Clinical Informatics Specialist (CIS or Medical Scribe) at Oak Street Health is to support our primary care providers with clinical documentation so that they can focus on providing exceptional care to our patients. Scribes assist providers throughout the patient care journey - huddling each morning to plan for the day's visits, joining them in the exam room to observe and document, and touching base after the visit to assist with next steps.
Beyond the typical Scribe role, these important care team members serve as clinical documentation assistants to their paired provider. Internally, we call them CISs (Clinic Informatics Specialists) in recognition of their important role in supporting accurate, specific, and timely clinical documentation. In addition to observing and documenting all patient encounters in real time, our Scribes become experts in our value-based care model and the documentation and care of chronic conditions, including ICD-10 and CPT coding. Scribes use this expertise to help providers identify and help close care gaps. Scribes receive extensive on-the-job training in clinical workflows, value-based medicine, preventative care for chronic conditions, accurate and specific documentation, population health data streams, and team based care.
Because our patients and providers rely on our Scribes, the ideal candidate should commit at least 1-2 years to this role. This is an excellent opportunity for pre-med track individuals looking to gain practical, paid experience in a clinical setting before applying to an MD/DO/PA/NP program, as well as those pursuing careers in Health Informatics, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Medical Coding, and other related fields.

The typical pay range for this role is:

As a Combat Engineer, you’ll work quickly and skillfully to help Soldiers navigate while on combat missions by constructing bridges, clearing barriers with explosives, and detecting and avoiding mines and other environmental hazards. You'll provide expertise and come up with quick and creative engineering solutions, constructing fighting positions, fixed and floating bridges, and obstacles and defense positions.
Skills you’ll learn align with Construction & Engineering, Demolition & Explosives, Operate Heavy Equipment. In addition, you could earn 45 nationally recognized certifications!
JOB DUTIES
- Maintain emergency notification data
- Maintain radio and data distribution systems
- Perform signal support functions and technical assistance for computer systems
- Provide technical assistance and training for local-area networks
- Maintain equipment, terminal devices, assigned vehicles and power generators
REQUIREMENTS
- 14 weeks of One Station Unit Training, which combines Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training

About the Role
As the on-site lead representative for Orr Partners, you will oversee large-scale projects and ensure their successful execution.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership involves directing multidisciplinary project teams, including general contractors, specialized trades, and engineering consultants, to ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence.
- Executive Communication serves as the primary liaison between GDEB leadership and the project team, providing high-level reports and supporting strategic problem-solving. Financial Stewardship entails managing multi-million dollar project budgets, overseeing complex cost tracking, contingencies, and value engineering. Procurement Oversight involves developing detailed RFPs and RFQs and negotiating high-value contracts for specialized industrial equipment and infrastructure. Schedule Management involves coordinating master project timelines, identifying risks early, and applying mitigation strategies to sustain progress in an active shipyard. Quality & Compliance ensures all work complies with strict standards required for naval infrastructure and heavy industrial projects. Documentation & Governance focuses on maintaining precise records using advanced project management tools to ensure full transparency and audit readiness.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or Structural), Construction Management, or a related technical field.
- Experience: A minimum of 10–15 years of progressive experience in construction project management, with at least 7 years dedicated specifically to heavy industrial, maritime, or large-scale manufacturing facilities.
- Industrial Expertise: Proven track record managing "big steel," massive concrete pours, specialized MEP systems, and heavy lifting/crane infrastructure.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead large teams through the complexities of active industrial campuses and high-security environments.
- Locational Commitment: Ability to work full-time on-location in Quonset, RI.
- Communication: Exceptional executive-level communication skills; the ability to translate complex technical hurdles into actionable project updates.
