Job Details We seek an experienced Director of Quality and Risk for full-time, salaried, onsite leadership at our inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Charlottesville, VA (no remote/hybrid).

Key Responsibilities: Oversee hospital-wide quality, risk management, and patient safety programs.

Lead preparation for and response to The Joint Commission surveys/accreditation processes.

Analyze patient satisfaction surveys/experience data, identify trends, and develop/present action plans for improvement.

Manage risk identification/mitigation, performance improvement initiatives, and compliance.

Supervise the Patient Assessment Standards Coordinator (PASC) and HIMS Supervisor.

Collaborate with CEO, regional leadership, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality care.

Requirements: Proven hands-on leadership experience in quality, risk management, and patient safety at the hospital/facility level (recent/current onsite role required; no high-level corporate/program development only).

Direct experience leading/preparing for The Joint Commission surveys/accreditation in a hospital setting.
