How You'll Contribute:

The installation technician is responsible for performing a wide variety of installation duties on technology projects for our clients. This position is the key field position for the bulk of the actual work that gets done in our clients buildings. The install tech needs to coordinate with project management, field superintendents and others to fully understand their role on specific projects. They interpret our drawing packages to create the basis of the finished systems. This installation can include displays, projectors, loudspeakers, microphones, equipment racks, etc. Will also provide advice and guidance to Associate Installation Technicians as necessary.

Location: Must live in the Washington DC - VA area.

What You'll Do:

• Perform structured cabling installation: pull, terminate, label, and dress cables per project documentation and standards.
  
  
• Complete physical installation and wiring of AV devices (displays, speakers, microphones, cameras, control interfaces, etc.).
  
  
• Assemble, populate, and dress equipment racks with a high degree of workmanship and adherence to design documents.
  
  
• Solder and terminate connectors according to project specifications and accepted industry practices.
  
  
• Execute light physical construction tasks as required (e.g., blocking, mounting surfaces, hardware installation).
  
  
• Follow Diversified's installation procedures, quality guidelines, and safety protocols with minimal deviation.
  
  
• Maintain accurate daily records: timesheets, daily field reports, checklists, and as-built documentation.
  
  
• Collaborate effectively with Project Managers, Engineers, and Lead Technicians to ensure project milestones are met.
  
  
• Represent Diversified professionally on active job sites, including client and construction environments.
  
  
• Actively participate in ongoing training and skill development toward advancing technical proficiency.
  
  

Complexity:

This level of technician will be responsible for performing tasks on clients job sites with little supervision. On smaller projects this position may be responsible for the coordination with clients, contractors and subcontractors.

Decision Making Authority:

This position is often alone on the job sites and requires making good judgement about decisions that need to be made. In general the project manager and a site supervisor are available to answer questions. This position requires good diplomacy in working with our clients and other key stakeholders on the job sites.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that may be met by an employee. The employee may be exposed to construction site conditions on a regular basis. Employee will be responsible for their safety while on job sites and to comply with all safety regulations in place by the GC. Use of PPE is usually required on job sites. The employee can typically spend at least 60% of their time on their feet and be required to mobile around the construction site. The employee must have the ability to occasionally climb ladders, use stairs and lift and/or move materials up to 40 pounds in construction areas. The individual is regularly required to use keyboards, test equipment and controls required for SI installation projects. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth vision. When not on construction sites, the employee will experience normal office conditions and be required to use office equipment such as computers, peripherals, etc.

Travel:

Frequent travel by car and occasional airplane trips are required. Employee must possess a valid driver's license in their state of residence. Employee will be required to use their own vehicle and will be reimbursed for mileage at the current corporate rate. Local travel to job sites (within a 2 hour driving distance each way) will make up 70-90% usually but remote travel can be up to 30% of the job at times. 10% remote travel is required on a regular basis.

CONSTRUCTION MANAGER

Overview

The Construction Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing day-to-day construction activities, ensuring compliance with released-for-construction documents, and coordinating all work impacting existing AirTrain operations. This role demands a hands-on leader who can balance technical expertise, particularly in electrical systems, with stakeholder coordination to ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

The National Survey of Family Growth (NSFG), conducted by the federal government since 1973, is a national survey of women and men, 15-49 years of age, designed to provide national estimates of factors affecting pregnancy and birth rates, and general reproductive health. The topics covered in the NSFG are sensitive but extremely important for understanding women’s and men’s health and well-being in the United States.

The NSFG interview covers sexual activity, contraceptive use, pregnancy history (including pregnancy loss), infertility, relationship experience, (including marriages and cohabitation), use of medical services (including family planning, infertility services, and preventative health care), and experience with adoption and foster care. For more information on the NSFG research project and requirements, please see: Interviewers will make face-to-face visits to selected households to screen for eligible respondents and conduct in-person NSFG interviews. Job Title – Teradata Lead Administrator

About the role

The Teradata Lead Administrator is responsible for owning the end-to-end strategy, governance, and operational excellence of the Teradata ecosystem across on premise and cloud environments. This role combines deep technical expertise with architectural leadership, platform modernization, FinOps discipline, and cross functional collaboration. The administrator will drive platform reliability, performance, security, and scalability while guiding teams, managing vendors, and supporting enterprise data initiatives.

In this role, you will:

Platform Strategy & Architecture

1. • Develop and own the Teradata platform roadmap, including modernization, integration, and compatibility planning.
2. • Design and govern HADR architecture, capacity models, workload tiering, and cross cloud QueryGrid policies.
3. • Provide architectural support for Vantage topology, scaling strategies, observability, and cost control frameworks.
4. • Lead PoCs for new capabilities, tools, and integrations.

Governance, Operations & Performance

1. • Establish and enforce SLAs, SLIs, audit frameworks, and antipattern governance.
2. • Drive systemwide performance tuning and multi tier workload management policies.
3. • Define automation standards and support WLM as code governance, including code reviews and fixes.
4. • Oversee DR strategy, backup and recovery processes, and compliance with enterprise data security policies.

Cloud, Network & FinOps

1. • Support right sizing of compute and storage tiers, including FinOps planning and governance.
2. • Contribute to hybrid network architecture, DXTGW strategy, Security Hub, Config, Guardium, and enterprise IAM/RBAC governance.
3. • Ensure cost efficient, secure, and compliant cloud operations.

Operational Excellence & Support

1. • Monitor Teradata system health, performance, and resource utilization.
2. • Lead new environment setup, configuration, and platform migrations.
3. • Provide L3 support for complex issues and guide teams through ITSM processes (ServiceNow, Remedy, Jira Service Desk).

Leadership & Collaboration

1. • Manage vendor relationships and coordinate with Teradata engineering teams.
2. • Mentor junior DBAs and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
3. • Contribute to RACI definitions, risk management, and enterprise-wide integration planning.

What you need to have to be considered

1. • Strong understanding of Teradata architecture, utilities, and tools (BTEQ, FastLoad, MultiLoad, TPT).
2. • Solid knowledge of data warehousing concepts and enterprise data management.
3. • Experience with performance tuning, workload management, and system observability.
4. • Familiarity with cloud security, compliance frameworks, and hybrid network architectures.
5. • Problem solving mindset with the ambition to grow into a senior DBA/architect role.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $81,000 - $135,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
