About the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the Georgia Institute of Technology

The School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the Georgia Institute of Technology is one of the largest producers of electrical engineers and computer engineers in the United States. Almost 2,600 students are enrolled in the School's graduate and undergraduate programs, and in the last academic year, 801 degrees were awarded. All ECE undergraduate and graduate programs are in the top five of the most recent college rankings by U.S. News & World Report.

In addition to the main campus in Atlanta, Georgia, ECE also has permanent operations at Georgia Tech-Lorraine in France. Graduate students who spend at least one semester each at two Georgia Tech locations (Atlanta or Lorraine (North America or Europe) can earn the Georgia Tech Global Engineering Immersion Program (GEIP) Certificate when they receive the Georgia Tech M.S. degree.

The Woodruff School graduates high caliber mechanical engineers for a demanding profession. Mechanical engineers are the foundation of todays technological world. The Woodruff School graduates high caliber mechanical engineers for a demanding profession. Mechanical engineers are the foundation of todays technological world. To do so, we provide enhanced facilities and laboratories to create the best learning environment and we attract outstanding faculty and students. In this period of rapid technological change, the Woodruff School produces mechanical engineers who are vital to our future.

With approximately 3,000 students, 100 faculty members, and 80 staff members, the Woodruff School is one of the largest mechanical engineering programs in the country. Act as the primary administrative support for a school Chair. Manage and coordinate the Chair's office administrative services and prioritize work assignments. Responsible for setting employee goals, assessing employee performance and providing feedback and making pay recommendations. This position will interact on a consistent basis with: Chair and Associate Chairs, Dean, School faculty members and staff, students and visitors. The Daniel Guggenheim School of Aerospace Engineering has quietly resided among the top 5 aerospace engineering schools in the country for more than a decade - attracting the best minds to study on our Atlanta campus. With a faculty of more than 40 tenure-track professors and enrollment of more than 1,800, the School brings both breadth and depth to its research, scholarship, and instruction that few institutions can match. The Aerospace Engineering School at Georgia Tech is currently ranked #2 (Sept. 2025) in the nation for undergraduate programs and #2 (April 2025) in the nation for graduate programs.

The Manager of Finance serves as a key operational leader within the Daniel Guggenheim School of Aerospace Engineering (AE) Finance team and provides dedicated financial support to both AE and the Aerospace Systems Design Laboratory (ASDL). This role oversees daily financial operations, supervising and developing a team responsible for processing and reviewing routine financial transactions, monitoring budgets, reconciling accounts, and maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial data across state, sponsored, and other funding sources. The Manager ensures timely financial reporting, compliance with institutional and sponsor requirements, and effective internal controls.
