Unit Description: As a Resource RN, you will care for a mixed population of patients across the UVM Medical Center. Our team is comprised of RNs and LNAs who float between different units to help cover inpatient staffing needs. As a department, we support up to 20 different units ranging from Medical-Surgical, Cardiology/Telemetry, Critical Care, to Maternal Child. You’ll find yourself using your broad range of skills and depth of experience on a variety of inpatient units.
As a Medical/Surgical RN, you will specifically support areas including, but not limited to medicine, surgical, hematology/oncology, orthopedics, acute rehab and psychiatry units. Medical/Surgical/Telemetry focused RNs support a combination of medicine, surgical, hematology/oncology, orthopedics, cardiothoracic and cardiac units.
You’ll work in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to provide patients with the highest quality care. Our leadership team provides training and support to ensure that you have the tools and knowledge that you need to thrive in this one-of-a-kind unit. A can-do attitude, flexibility, a love of change, independence, and excellent communication skills are needed to be successful in our department.
A minimum of 1 year of direct experience is required.

Department Description: Our High Technology Nursing program provides skilled, compassionate in-home nursing for patients who require around-the-clock care and advanced medical technology. Our nurses rotate through care, so you will never be required to work longer than your schedule 8, 10, or 12 hour shift.
Our team provides one-on-one, in-home care to adults and children with critical and complex medical needs. We do this by utilizing advanced medical equipment in the comfort of each patient’s home. We also provide high-level care to patients who sustained life-threatening illnesses or injuries in the past, often following trauma or major surgery. We monitor and manage these patients by operating complex equipment, administering medication, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
Even though you work independently in the home, you’re never alone—your manager and care team are only a phone call away. We believe in taking care of our nurses, so they can take care of our patients.

Our patient population consists of neurology, neurosurgery, gynecologic surgery, ENT, and other medical patients. Unit Description: Inpatient Pediatrics at UVMMC is a 17-bed unit serving patients aged day 1 to 18 years and covers 24 specialties. It is the only inpatient pediatric unit in the state of Vermont and upstate New York, is part of the Golisano Children's Hospital at the University of Vermont Medical Center, and partners with the Children's Miracle Network.

Job Description: The Infusion Nurse in Ambulatory Oncology provides chemotherapy and biologic therapies to adult patients with complex illness. Key aspects of this direct-care role include insertion of peripheral intravenous catheters; establishing access via utilizing implanted devices; administration of systemic chemotherapy and biotherapies; supporting the infusion patient who is participating in clinical trials; and comprehensive patient assessment and education.
EXPERIENCE:
Greater than one year of experience and Hematology Oncology nursing experience preferred. Proficiency with peripheral intravenous placement and care along with the care and maintenance of PICCs and Central Lines. Chemotherapy certification required and ONC certification preferred.
