Role: Senior Design Engineer
Location: Onsite in New Ulm or Eden Prairie, MN
Salary: $95,000 - $150,000, dependent on skills and qualifications
POSITION SUMMARY:
Provide technical guidance and design authority for the Engineering group. The position will be responsible for assurance of all electromagnetic design criteria as well as thermal and structural integrity of the designs as well developing testing capability for complete motor/system assemblies. Position will interface internally and externally to address budgets, schedules and resourcing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct defined including but not limited to magnetic, thermal and structural design, safety analysis and FEA for new products from inception.
- Perform project budget plans, schedules and implementation planning for new platform development projects
- Review of customer requirements and generation of compliances matrices to specifications and S.O.W.’s
- Technical oversight on all legacy and new projects.
- Conduct defined tasks including but not limited to Design and documentation to improve process understanding and quality improvement, using commonly used concepts, practices, and engineering methodologies.
- Interact occasionally with other production facilities as needed to maintain production of assigned customers and products.
- Mentoring and development of E/O’s within all aspects of the organization.
- Recommend new manufacturing processes and procedural development for new technologies introduced.
- Recommendation of new technologies to improve manufacturing efficiency, hardware performance and safety
- Evaluate legacy systems and processes and recommend improvements
- Conduct and or be consulted on Root Cause and Corrective action oversight and failure analysis that impact the organizations performance.

Education:
- 4 year degree in a technical field required, or 10 years of relevant experience.
Experience:

The Senior Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for leading the development, optimization, validation, and sustainment of manufacturing processes for regulated medical devices. This role partners closely with R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Supply Chain, and Production departments to ensure safe, compliant, and cost-effective manufacturing throughout the product lifecycle. The role works collaboratively to verify product performance, validate manufacturing processes, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
-Execute the design, development, and optimization of manufacturing processes for new and existing medical devices.
