As the AI Program Manager, you will build and run a program of AI initiatives that create efficiencies by automating repetitive tasks and removing process waste. What You'll Do



Opportunity Discovery

Program Management





  • Work with Business Stakeholders to prioritize initiatives by value, impact, labor hour avoidance, and risk mitigation.

  • Prioritize AI program and project roadmap into short, iterative deliverables; prioritize delivery based on business impact and feasibility.

  • Run stage-gated delivery (scope pilot scale) aligned to HellermannTyton COE project governance; set decision forums, risk controls, and incremental results.

  • Work with Business and IT to develop data and IT infrastructure and tools to support AI program roadmap.



Delivery





  • Ensure ownership of agents and AI workflows are transitioned to business stakeholders within the business.

  • Engage with change management to ensure AI projects are accepted, and AI becomes integrated into processes such that AI becomes "the way we work."

  • Make value visible and auditable. Track and report on program benefit metrics such as savings, improved experience, reduced waste, efficiency improvements, etc.

  • Share AI knowledge to upskill the organization. Coach stakeholders to see AI use cases in the processes.



Governance





  • Partner with Legal/HR on data privacy and AI use policies.

  • Ensure solutions comply with IT corporate cybersecurity and risk guidelines.

We are seeking a 2nd Shift Turbine Mechanic (4 - 10's) to work out of our Milwaukee Service Center. This position is responsible for the disassembly, assembly, and mechanical operations on a variety of steam turbine spindles, casings, and valves where methods are standardized and prescribed. Work from assembly drawings and specifications to do skilled fitting, aligning, and adjusting along with some secondary machining. Use a wide variety of precision measuring instruments and gauging devices.

Essential Duties

  • Receive and inspect incoming turbine components, take digital pictures of shipping container, cribbing, rigging techniques, and all parts.
  • Measure and record the critical dimensions of the turbine components.
  • Charting of the disassembly of the blades and proper labeling.
  • Perform proper blade straightening and repairs procedures.
  • Perform blade setlliting and stiffener repairs technique.
  • Remove and install seals, disassemble, and assemble valves, and perform blade ring assembly procedures.
  • Repair or rebuild hydrogen seal assemblies and rigging and shipping skid setup.
  • Operate the manual grinding, milling, turning, and sawing machinery as required for installation and final fitting of turbine blade seals, and valves.
  • Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations.

What You'll Do

Reporting to the General Manager, the Shift Supervisor is responsible for planning and organizing the hour-by-hour activities for 2nd Shift manufacturing associates in two New Berlin facilities to meet the quality, delivery and cost expectations of our customers. Assures all associates work safely and any hazards are resolved quickly. Executes production plans and monitors job run times. Ensures active communication with supporting departments and 1st Shift staff.

Plant Supervision

  • Follow through of Production plan hour by hour, daily activities for manufacturing associates; utilizes the strengths of the Lead personnel to help accomplish goals and workflow
  • Provides technical support to the production floor by resolving issues as they arise
  • Ensures compliance with daily department schedules to meet shipments on a consistent basis
  • Monitors, identifies and documents run times and process improvements of shop and production
  • Monitors workflow, oversees and directs production, and audits Job Paperwork, Routings, Log sheets, Process Control Sheets (PCS), Work Instructions (WI) for conformity and accuracy
  • Documents workflow, achievements, and notes for 1st shift hand-off
  • Communicates and coordinates with Engineering, Quality and other support areas as production issues arise
  • Reviews all jobs prior to submittal for final inspection ensuring parts are made to print, parts are properly claimed and part counts are correct
  • Ensures operators perform set-ups as required to meet production schedule
  • Follows safety policies and procedures and ensures subordinates do the same
  • Supports all manufacturing functions including troubleshooting and problem solving in all areas of manufacturing
  • Provides recommendations and periodic updates as needed to management regarding the status of production
  • Utilize reporting and analytics to make data-driven decisions to meet production needs
  • Attending trainings, meetings, and participate in continuous improvement programs


Team Management

  • Hold Shop Team accountable to goals and objectives set by the Company and Operations Manager
  • Participate in union activities such a contract negotiation, grievances, etc.
  • Train and mentor new team members and be an ambassador of our culture
  • Delegate job assignments and review workload as necessary
  • Maintain employee schedules such as approving time-off & staff coverage
  • Collaborate with Human Resources for employee performance discussions, recruitment needs, hiring, and terminations
  • Work to resolve interpersonal issues and conflicts as they arise

What You'll Bring

  • High School diploma or GED is required
  • 5+ years’ experience working in a high mix/low volume metal fabrication manufacturing environment is required
  • 3+ years’ experience leading/supervising small groups (Team Leader, Group Leader, Supervisor) is required
  • Extensive technical knowledge of how machines (metal forming, machining, welding, general assembly stations) operate is preferred
  • Exposure to advanced safety concepts or Lean Management experience is preferred
  • Experience in a union manufacturing environment preferred but not required

Job Description

  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the production employees to ensure a quality product is produced to meet on-time delivery goals in a cost-effective and safe manner


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assign and prioritize work to produce products according to the production schedule.
  • Ensure company policies, safety procedures, and quality standards are followed by all team members
  • Actively coach, train, develop, and counsel employees for personal and professional growth opportunities to continually enhance their skill sets.
  • Identifies training gaps and ensures production employees receive all required training in a timely manner and cross-training is completed as needed.

  • Review shift-end reports for transaction errors, inefficiencies, and scrap issues and work to resolve issues through communication, training, or corrective action.
  • Provide technical assistance with production/process problems
  • Work with Human Resources in staffing activities such as interviewing, hiring, career pathing, and training and development of production employees.
  • Maintain good employee relations and continuously monitor employee performance.
  • Maintain personnel/attendance records of assigned employees.
  • Investigate and document work-related injuries.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of supervisor experience in manufacturing and/or a combination of relevant work experience and education in related field.
  • Injection Molding experience preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership skills to develop, mentor, motivate, and hold others accountable
  • Ability to mitigate teams conflicts and elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources / cross functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Proficient with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software. IQMS a plus.
  • Ability to be flexible and responsive to changing scheduling requirements.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • License or Certificate Suggested: Forklift
