This position will be onsite in Woodland Hills, CA and will lead the Business Execution Engineering organization, for the Navigation and Cockpit Systems Business Unit, reporting to the Senior Director of the Engineering organization. As the Engineering Director, you will be responsible for leading a highly dynamic, growing multi-discipline engineering team of approximately 60 senior technical leaders and be the primary E&S POC for the respective Business Unit leadership team.

What You'll get to Do:

• Primary E&S POC for Business Unit leadership
• Lead the team with primary accountability for executing engineering scope of work within allocated cost and schedule. Ensure consistent rigor in planning, earned value reporting, metrics generation, and issue resolution as related to engineering execution.
• Collaborate with program office and engineering functional organization on resourcing programs and meeting competing demands of a diverse business base.
• Collaborate closely with business development, PMO, and functional engineering on architecting new systems and proposal planning to grow our business base.
• Drive technical issues on BU programs, captures, IR&D, etc. to closure by providing coaching, mentoring and leadership to broader technical team
• Lead strategic actions to improve the business of engineering
• Collaborate with discipline engineering team members across the Sector to share best practices and accelerate implementation of Sector standards
• Develop technical leaders (e.g. CE, SEIT Lead, IPT leads, etc.) to ensure business success
• Support development of technical discriminators for priority BU captures and pursuits
• Hold technical leaders accountable to execute per defined engineering processes and best practices
• Collaborate with other functional partners to resolve complex issues in a timely manner to help meet program commitments
• Travel up to 25% of the time

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics or related technical fields with 12 years of experience; Master's degree with 10 years of experience; PhD with 8 years of experience

• 8 years of professional experience in the defense or aerospace industries

• 5 years demonstrated success managing multiple technical teams across multiple geographic sites

• 5 years previous experience working in a technical role with experience across multiple program phases

• Prior profit and loss leadership experience (e.g. PM, OUD, IPT with >$50M workscope, etc.)

• Demonstrated experience executing the capture phase of the program lifecycle

• Demonstrated experience effectively leading diverse technical teams across multiple locations

• Demonstrated knowledge of engineering process and tailoring

• Clearance: Candidate must currently have and be able to maintain an Active Secret clearance

• Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI Clearance

We are currently looking for a Civil Project Engineer who is ready to engage in a large alternative delivery (CMGC) project in Los Angeles County. This project is a multi-year project that will widen the 105 freeway from the 405 to the 605. This widening will increase HOV capacity, reduce congestion along the corridor and introduce tolling to the 105. Phase one of the project is starting at $400 Million, and the remaining phases will push the project towards $1.1 Billion. This is a great opportunity to join the team as we are building the first phase and prior to the project breaking ground on the second phase and contribute to the success of this critical project to improve mobility ahead of the 2028 Olympics.

The ideal candidate is capable of thinking outside the box, understands multi-staged construction projects, is detailed oriented with experience in heavy civil construction. The position is directly accountable for the safety, financial performance, and team development on site.

• Implement Software Security principles to embedded software design, development, integration, and testing of real-time sensor software.

• Ensure the SW Product Assurance processes are followed on our programs
• Understand real-time software design and the performance implications associated with specific System Security implementations.

Mechanical Design Engineer

Location: Los Angeles, CA — On-site, 5 days/week

Salary: $95,000 – $180,000 + equity + annual performance bonus

A well-funded, mission-driven space technology company is moving fast and building real flight hardware. They're hiring a Mechanical Design Engineer to own the design, analysis, and development of hardware. This is a true hands-on role at the intersection of structures, thermals, mechanisms, and aero, working shoulder-to-shoulder with GNC, TPS, test, avionics, manufacturing, and integration teams.

What you'll do:

• Design mechanical systems for atmospheric recovery: deployables, aerodynamic decelerators, recovery mechanisms, interfaces, and precision landing hardware
• Own hardware end-to-end: concept → requirements → CAD → FEA → prototype → assemble → qualify → flight
• Perform structural/thermal/mechanism analysis for extreme loads, temperatures, and dynamics
• Lead integration across rigid structures + soft goods (e.g., paraglider/parachute-style systems) and flight hardware
• Support and drive test campaigns (ground, wind-tunnel, and flight) and iterate quickly
• Run design reviews (PDR/CDR) and produce clear drawings, BOMs, documentation, and work instructions

What they're looking for:

• 3–5 years of industry experience designing aerospace mechanical hardware
• Strong CAD skills (SolidWorks, NX, or similar) and analysis ability (structural/thermal in ANSYS preferred; SolidWorks acceptable)
• Experience with structures, mechanisms, deployables, and aero-structures (e.g., flaps, hinges, linkages, and ideally parachute/paraglider-adjacent components)
• Strong understanding of load paths, interfaces, and environmental requirements for high-energy flight environments
• Proven ability to take hardware from concept to production and/or flight
• Comfortable with ambiguity, rapid iteration, and fast design–build–test cycles
• Excellent documentation and communication skills
