We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Physician Assistant specializing in Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic Surgery for a locum tenens opportunity near Emory, TX. This role offers an excellent chance to provide quality care in a supportive and professional environment.

• Specialty: Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic Surgery
• Start Date: ASAP
• Duration: Ongoing, with flexible scheduling
• Shift Details:
  • 12-hour shifts, 7 PM to 7 AM, 7 days per week
  • Focus on inpatient care only
  • No outpatient responsibilities
• Responsibilities:
  • Rounding in the ICU
  • Managing patients pre- and post-cardiac surgery
  • Care for patients coming off ventilators
  • Post-operative management of open-heart, VATS, and lung cases
• Patient Load: Average of 2025 patients on the service at any time

• Trauma Level: Level 1 Trauma Center
• EMR System: Epic
• Stroke Certification: Yes
• Support Provided: Collaborative team environment

• Licensure: Active Texas license or eligibility through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC)
• Certifications:
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Experience: Board certification required; fellowship training preferred

• Credentialing timeframe: 57 days
• Temporary privileges are available for expedited onboarding
