MHS is hiring married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. In this unique and life-changing career, couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students living in the home. Flex Houseparents play a vital role in creating a structured, family-like environment that fosters students’ academic, emotional, and social development so they can reach their full potential.

Responsibilities include:


  • Providing daily supervision and mentorship
  • Managing household routines and student schedules

What We’re Looking For


The ideal candidate will have successfully handled all aspects of litigation, from intake through trial. Must have written and argued motions and must have taken and defended depositions. Excellent writing and communication skills are required. Must be self-motivated.   Preference will be given to those with experience in public entity litigation in state and federal courts. Experience with civil rights litigation is highly desired.  


  • JD from an ABA-accredited law school
  • Active California bar license
  • Over five years of litigation experience, specifically in public entity and general liability insurance defense.
  • Ability to manage full case responsibilities, including discovery, trial preparation, or even trial.
  • Proficiency in time management and document management systems (preferably Clio)
  • Proficiency in legal research platforms (Lexis)
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
