Overview:

Our client, a well-established engineering firm, is seeking an Experienced Civil Engineer with strong passion for land development and a desire to broaden their skills through dynamic, multifaceted projects. This role involves site and public works design for commercial and industrial building projects, including grading, utilities, erosion control plans, and stormwater management. Responsibilities include managing projects from start to finish, mentoring junior engineers, and collaborating closely with clients, city officials, and Principal Engineers. This full-time position is located in Portland, OR.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and oversee the efforts of others while mentoring less experienced engineers.
• Design site and public works for commercial and industrial projects, including grading, utilities, erosion control, and stormwater management.
• Manage projects from start to finish.
• Work directly with a Principal Engineer throughout design and construction.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with P.E. registration
• 4 to 8 years of experience
• Experience in public works and land development for commercial and industrial projects

• Knowledge of HydroCAD, HEC-RAS, FlowMaster, Autodesk Vehicle Turning, and Bluebeam

The Senior Project Engineer will be based on the construction project site and will provide high level support to the project staff to ensure quality and timely execution of design-build projects from design to completion. These phases include: Scheduling, subcontractor buyout, cost reporting, preparation of subcontracts, the handling of owner coordination, construction quality oversight, and project closeout. You may run smaller projects on your own, mentor Project Engineers, Summer Construction Interns, and take on the additional responsibilities to become a Project Manager.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.

• Lead data modeling efforts to create optimized data structures for reporting and analytical purposes.
• Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines that transform raw source data into high-quality, actionable datasets.
• Build the company's data infrastructure and data catalog, from data ingestion through the semantic layer, ensuring a robust, scalable architecture on AWS.

Qualifications
