• Proper handling and restraint of medically compromised patients
• Triage and intake skills/TPR
• Critical thinking in emergency setting
• Perform technical procedures such as venipuncture, administering IV fluids, and catheter placement.
• Perform drug calculations, administer controlled and non controlled medications PO, SQ, IM, and IV as directed by the veterinarian.
• Monitor, induce, maintain and recover patients undergoing anesthetic procedures
• Provide nursing care and treatment to hospitalized patients
• Educate pet owners on post-operative and at-home care for their pets.
• Assist with advanced imaging (Fluoroscopy/X-ray/Ultrasound/MRI/CT)
• Communicate with other departments within the hospital or clinic for the overall success of the practice.

You will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in the outpatient cardiothoracic surgery clinic. This role involves the comprehensive management of patients undergoing evaluation, treatment, and follow-up for cardiothoracic surgical conditions including coronary artery disease, valvular disease, thoracic aortic disease, and thoracic malignancies.
