Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Perform account reconciliations and analyses, prepare journal entries, and review accounting classifications, in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, and analyze variances.
- Identify, research, and solve accounting issues.
- Collaborate with other finance team members to support overall department goals and objectives.
- Monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Respond to inquiries from the Director of Finance, and other finance and firm wide managers regarding financial results, special reporting requests, etc.
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
- Assist in the coordination of the annual audit process.
- Work with confidential data, which if disclosed, might have significant internal effect or minor external effect.
- Work on special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA or MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or related field, preferably within the healthcare industry.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced working knowledge of Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.
- Ability to execute and follow-through to completion and documentation.

MHS is hiring married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. In this unique and life-changing career, couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students living in the home. Flex Houseparents play a vital role in creating a structured, family-like environment that fosters students’ academic, emotional, and social development so they can reach their full potential.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing daily supervision and mentorship
- Managing household routines and student schedules
- Administering medications and ensuring student wellness
- Driving students to activities, as well as planning and actively engaging in developmental and recreational activities with students
